  • In the ever-changing character of war one thing remains unwavering, the purpose and dedication of our #AusArmy soldiers.
Watch as #AusArmy soldiers confront the challenges of today and of the future.
This video was shown at the Chief of Army Symposium 2023 in Perth in August.
The theme of the Chief of Army Symposium 2023 was ‘Adapting Army’, which demonstrates Australian Army’s commitment to meeting #YourADF future challenges through innovation, fostering partnerships with industry, academia & partner forces, & above all through #OurPeople.

GO Army ‼ My Grandad was wounded in France in WW 1, evacuated to a UK hospital then billeted in London for a short time. Met the billet owner's daughter and convinced her to come to Australia after the war to marry him. So, ~100 years later, he's gone, but I'm still here! Thanks Army :)

Great to see an awesome recruitment video devoid of the wokeness we're all used to seeing.

THAT is how you increase recruitment - no bs, just remind Australia what we fight for and what we stand to lose.

Just a tip, get a trade when ur in there so you have something to fall back onto when u leave or when they make you leave. Bcos if can’t make your beep tests or when you get that dodgy knee, you’ll be out faster then when you got in

@@Aaronsmith-cu8ii my train of thought aswell, im currently doing a carpentry apprenticeship, and if things go south with me and my boss the army reserves offer apprenticeships. My biggest worry funny enough is my knee, i had a surgery on it years ago for a non-injury issue, it hasn’t affected me but if they claim it does it will devastate me

If that’s the case but if your fit and young and your knee isn’t a problem yet don’t declare it at the screening and physical. Wait till your inside. Just work on your beep test and go for lots of long walks.
As it’s a knee issue it will never be the same so if you go front line that knee will be exposed very quickly so I’d suggest you go in a Trade route but not combat engineering as again your knee will be exposed, stay away from any role where your priority load out is a weapon rather than a nail bag. Stick to the nail bag roles.
Live on base, stay single, save all your cash and buy investment properties, this is the winning recipe. Representing your country is one thing and very romantic but as soon as you discharge on Friday, the following Monday is when when your country forgets about you.
      All the best

@@Aaronsmith-cu8iiwould beep tests even matter that much if you’re not in a combat role? I get it if you’re infantry or something but if you’re just a mechanic working on vehicles for example would being in amazing shape matter that much? Any advice is appreciated as I’m seriously considering joining the army. I’m not out of shape or nothing, I workout 3 days a week but it’s tedious and annoying

Mate a beep test is all they do these days. I think 7.5 is the stadard for males and 6.6 for chicks. When i was on my way out they were introducing role specific fitness tests to see if you could do shit specific to your job but I am not sure if they still do that. Id suggest you work on your core fitness plenty of long walks and pushbike riding as in the ADF you will always be on your feet. Other option is to go the RAAF or RAN route as they will be less physically demanding, and you will get to learn a trade. BTW get used to tedious there is plenty of that shit in the ADF as you will learn the term Hurry up and wait. All the best mate @@va_nzy
