ProficientWarrior, well personally i still play and look forward for dayz, why? Because it's the most realistic survival pvp game both graphically and physically ( so far A3 is best, but its very clunky and not that fluid, but that's where dayz gonna fix it all ) also it has pretty much 0 cheaters and its netcode is one of the best i've ever seen ( even better than CSGO's ), so even with 300ping its playable, but i can agree, the lack of content/same std survival is kinda bored already, i cant wait for modding, so we can try something new like KoTH in Dayz. Also the new engine with all the new animatons adds very nice feeling ingame, like even PUBG/SCUM is nothing close in terms of the fluidness/realism. For me SCUM looks like great and fun game, but compared to DayZ SCUM is like the old War Z/H1z1 on steroids i mean the graphics is pretty mediocore/oldschool, there's not much realism in it even in the gameplay besides the health thing and how it all works, crafting seems very standard like in all games that has it.

I think you absolutely have to go all out for Riffle stats (less recoil and precise aiming + endgame will be primarily riffles), stealth at least medium for getting around zombies and mech, camoflage apparently give you better colors for blending in surrounding and it might be rendering you harder to see to other players.
Good tip, bringing up inventory to see what is in the area, which helps when climbing lookout towers as you don’t need to get to the top to find nothing.
You can use the small rocks to make a stone knife as well. In the crafting menu if you see a left and right arrow on a material it means multiple items can fulfill that req. Thanks for the video!
tbh, if you have decent melee it's worth making a small stone axe then luring a puppet into the woods to kill it. Then you can chop it up for skin and make a needle from the bones. I usually take their clothes and cut up the prisoner clothes as they give you clean rags and have no camouflage anyways. Then you can craft a medium bag from the skin and needle, killing maybe one more puppet for cloth and grabbing sticks from the woods.
FYI - Big bushes give more big then small sticks and the small bushes give more small then big. - The map is also based on a real island, the real island is about twice as big, I'm hoping we will get the entire map when vehicles are in the game. - My buddy has already shit a chocolate bar and a can of soda. No idea if this is a bug or just some sick dev humor, but it's damn funny!!! - Certain vitamin deficiencies will harm your vision. - Alcohol can kill you! I drank myself to death once with absint. - Headshot with a spear will save you many many times, so practice it! - You get 10% of your kills fame points... if his fame is negative (red BCU) you will get minus points from the kill. - When you get lag because the game loaded in a location and you FPS doesn't go back up, go to main menu and press continue to get back in the game in only a few seconds, FPS fixed (memory leak problem). - Mushroom poisoning is also not yet in the game, the red mushrooms that say they are psychedelic. They give you great amounts of vitamin D. Nice to see Kotton in this game as well, already loved him in Tarkov. Keep it up!

You can fortify houses in the game. No building a base from scratch like rust. Later on there will be a storyline quest system where the goal will be removing the implant from your head and escape the island

Too bad there's no blueprint for making a provisional bed underneath so far. I also miss DayZ idle animations like being able to sit down & relax. I found yesterday a great spot with a lying down tree I wish I could sit on while Warming up near my fire place.
Scarecrow the bed would be a great addition! I agree about the idle animation, really helps with the rpg/emersion elements. I have a feeling that there is still so much to be implemented I reckon we will see of that cool stuff. Happy scuming bro!

you mentioned this game runs well...... I've got gigabit internet and an overqualified desktop. I get a lot of teleportation while trying to get in melee fights, is the server just bad?
I started last night and immediately found a hatchet. I was like "oh ya" Im on it. Then my hatchet got stuck in the first puppet zombie I ran into and I lost it. Thats when I knew this game was for me.

Dont know if u know it by now (most likely yes) but the levels that you choose into the rifles, meele etc.. you cant craft e.g. rifle ammo if u didnt put it on the second level while creating character.. handgun is just the 9mm for now..
Also one of my very few complaints about this game, which isn't a big deal, is I kinda don't like how you have to "search" sunflowers, cabbages, and other vegetation where you can clearly SEE the food on the object and yet sometimes you search them and they yield nothing.
Yea i also hate how you are in a static animation while searching. They need to make it to where you can move around the object your interacting with but if you go to far it cancels the animation.

You don't need the big stones for a knife; any stone will do. Crouching or proning doesn't restore stamina faster, but might as well prone.
