This is not only the case with Royal Enfield. All manufacturers do this. For them, customers are just folks who would pay money. They try scaring you with terms like “warranty void” if you service from outside but when it comes to providing great service and resolving issues in motorcycles, they fall massively short.
I own an FZ and I have the same issues with Yamaha’s service centres. So much so, that I nowadays do basic maintenance like oil change and chain lubing myself 😅
For other stuff, I take it to a trusted mechanic in my area. One call always buy genuine part from a service centre. But getting it serviced at a service centre can be a nightmare.
Fun fact: They once drained out my engine full of Liqui Moly Synthetic oil and put the shorty Yamalube Mineral Oil when I specifically told them not to. So yeah, that’s how irritating they can be 😂
Service centres are always 50:50 with any brand. Learn to do basic things like oil change, air filter change, chain cleaning, lubrication and adjustment, clutch play adjustment and clutch cable change on your own. If you buy a royal enfield from my experience of owning a classic 350 I can safely say that you need to be well versed with DIY stuff. Luckily for us there are a lot of DIY videos on RE right from the basic things to even engine work.
I don't trust dealers at all.. I like to monitor them closely while they're working on my vehicle
For SImple disk brake service, they change the entire disc brake assembly. It cost me 3100 with labor charges. While the same brake issue was repaired in Rs. 250/- outside local garage.

Absolutely true, this loot from Service centres robs you away from the good experience of owning a bike. There should be strong boycott against these service centres from all the owners only then they will understand. Finding a good mechanic near your area is also a challenge for everyone. Service karane par aisa lagta hai ki kya chu**ya kata hai. Jo zarurat nahi wo bhi bill mein ghusa k dikha dete hain. Ye sab SCAM hai.
Bhai mai bike mechanic hu mai bhi show room kaam kr chuka hu.
Likin ye bhaat shch hai ki koi pura kaam nhi krta hai, uskabkarn mechanic nhi hai uska karn show room ke owner hai.
Mai hero show room aur honda show room me kaam kiya hai.
Pure dil se bike chake krta tha to bahot time lgta tha isi kanr meee showroom owner meri salary kaat leta tha.
Ek deen ki baat hai Hero show room me ek free service bike aai thi HF DELUXE 2nd service maine bike ka oil change, break tight, air filter clean kiya aur bike wash kr ke de diya, show room owner ne bike owner se 500₹ leliya. Jabki parts me kevl oil tha aur kuchh nhi oil ki rate 260₹.
Yh dekh kr maine us ke agle mahine se us show room me kaam krna chhod diya.
Honda showroom mebhi kuchh yesa horha tha is liye vha bhi kaam krna chhod diya.
We should mention such scam experiences on social media bro..I have done it...lets help others aware of it!

Totally agree with what you said bro.... The only drawback of not having your bike served at the authorised service centers for the first seven services is that your warranty claim privilege is lost i.e. you can not get a warranty claim of a broken/ damaged part if any of the first services is lapsed .....
You can also cross check this is in the user's manual... In warranty section clause number 3
I agree. But Jo service mei itna casually kaam kar rhe, wo kabhi koi genuine problem mei warranty claim hone hi nhi denge.
so true. Engine oil scam, handle-bearing scam, and ignorance in free service are all true. They took overprice for service and spear parts also. Even I face this issue also. I paid 10k for front bearing, fork oil, and back-wheel bearing repair. Most of the Royal Enfield do the same, except a few. I visited 2 royal service centers both are the same. They don't have skilled labor except 1 or 2, even I told him some noise is coming from the front wheel but still they don't realize. Nowadays there are so many RE showrooms and service centers so they don't have skilled engineers.

the same scenario in all service centers across brands throughout the country...it's nothing new, been going on since ever. mostly try to scam 1st time owners
(Mera Mumbai mai ek showroom ka experience kafi bekar raha. Yaha service karne wale chore hai.. bike mai se petrol he chori kar lete hai even kaam hoga kuch aur or kharche kuch aur he btate hai... Scooty mai engine oil ka alag charge or gear oil ka alag charge lete hai jabki ye log ek oil ko usi mai dalte hai. Faltu ka misguide karke paise banate yaha k worker's... Jo ye baat showroom k owner tak ko nhi pata hota.)

Same happened with me bro. I had gone to service my signals 350. My engine oil was ok. I could ride next 1500 km with that oil easily. But they even didn't asked about it to me. They just replaced it with new engine oil with out any concern. They also told me my bike handle bar barrings were damaged. But they were absolutely ohhk. They just greesed it and charged 500/- for it. Horrible experience. They are there just to loot you. Better go for any local garage.
Nice video...similar thing I faced on my avenger service earlier in delhi...tht is the marketing strategy for all automobile companies to boost sell by saying wrong things to customer n how they will get scared of this n change the parts during servicing.even in car company also they do the same.they want to achieve their monty targets.do not get fool.be aware.

I did only oil change and parking bulb replaced and washing chain cleaning I did from outside he charged me 20 rs which the shopkeeper was not taking also

I recommend you to use Castrol Power1 15W50 2.5L for Royal Enfield. Try it and you will feel the difference. Don't use the Service Center Engine Oil. It will destroy your engine. Specially tappet.

हर्ष भाई बेहतर जानकारी दी है। मेरा भी यही अनुभव है कि सर्विस सेंटर वाले ठगने लगे हैं। दरअसल अब वहां हर मैकेनिक को ज्यादा से ज्यादा बाइक निपटाने और बड़ा बिल बनवाने का टारगेट दिया जाने लगा है। इसमें रायल इनफील्ड का नहीं शोरूम मालिकों का खेल है। कंपनी को इस पर ध्यान देना चाहिए। मेरा विचार है सबको कंपनी को शिकायत करनी चाहिए।

, I had experience with brake fluid, and reservoir.
All this scams are common happens in almost every service center, i know some mechanics who work in such service center(not of RE) they themself admit replacing some parts of a new vehicle with old workable parts just to sell new parts for their own income.

bro i chnged m.oil few mounths bck frm local workers he charged me arnd 1200 rps n said chnge it aftr 3000 kms,,,,,,aftr driving fr 3000 kms i went bck bt dis tym to re workshop thy chnged d oil n said dat ur bike doest need oil chnge fr 10000 now as it is bs4 aug2018 model d oil dat we use doest hve to bi chnged fr 10000 kms we hve only to top it up aftr 5000kms,,,so my question is who is rght local wala ya re service center ,im just confused

mai already plan kar raha hu bahar me apne bike ka centrifugal filter clean karaunga,
aur basically saara service karaunga baahar me apne aankho ke saamne,
mujhe bhi bola ki "aapka bike gira hai, handle tedha hai 6000 lagega"
mai bola nahi koi zarurat nahi.

This is untrue, that you cannot be with the technician, when ur bike is getting serviced, I just had my Meteor 350 serviced, and I was standing with them the whole time. I asked many things about the bike, and he answered them all... I saw the whole service.. even helped them with small things. My bike servicing started at 10:30AM and ended at 1:53 PM. They did it with utmost care.
100% correct, no of times I was facing the same issue from RE Authorized Dealer, Even they don't know how to fix RE Classic 350 Rear Break issue(Continuous noise from Rear Drum, road side technician fixed the issue with in 30 minutes and he told cam alignment issue,authorized dealer changed 10 break shoes within 15000 kms ,They don't know how to align Brake Cam).Better to give your vehicle to out side mechanics. So don't trust RE Authorized Workshops,that people eat our money like a grass .

It only ran 1900km and things seem okay to me. So what should I ask them not to change, and what are mandatory to change? What would be the estimated price?

Sahi kaha bhai. Maine to apni life me jitne bi bike liye hain unki sirf 1st service showroom se krvai hai baki sab local mechanic se karwai hai. Abb maine 19 Feb 2020 ko nai Royal Enfield clasic350 li hai uski bi sirf first service showroom walon se krwaon ga baki service apne trusted local mechanic se krwaon ga.
This is the condition of every brand's service centre. They just loot people, 70% times they will cheat you whether in case of two wheeler or four wheelers.. Once in my maruti car one wire is broken in the ecm connector and it's after mark cost for that connector is 100rs and 100rs labour but maruti charge Rs. 700 for diagnose and demanding 18k and they said entire wiring of the engine needs to be replaced..

Bhai even BMW bikes service centre are doing frauds. Recently faced one . Expensive parts are replaced. I was emotionally attached to my bike . It hurts how people are just chasing after money.

Not just RE Honda Hero Yamaha TVS Suzuki everyone is doing this.
They have targets to achieve. Try to do simple servicing by yourself. It will save you lot of money.

Bhai maine kall hi krayi hai service. Mere bike ki breaks vgera bilkul ok aa.fir bhi bol rahe the leader ghass gye change. Pehla banda bola sirf peeche ke. Dusra ayea to vo bola aage ke v. n aaj bike thodi stiff feel ho rahi hai.like pulser. Jaise clutch dbane se jldi hi ruk raha. Chain se bhi awaaz aa rahi.total 2100 ki kri. bina kuch spare dlle.
Precaution kya loge just remember when u need to change engine oil and be always sceptic about any changes done anywhere in ur bike......every where is same......service centre ho ya baahar ho
Few days ago, I purchased ROYAL ENFILED ELECTRA from panipat MONGA automobile Showroom. After riding 500 km , it's time to service the bike. So i called service centre and ask for servicing time. I hand over my bike for servicing on 24 dec 2021 and i asked to return it next day. The next day 25 dec 2021, i went to showroom and collect my bike. The behaviour of the lady at the front counter was so bad. She asked if i got a messege for review of servicing, she takes my fon and fill all the reviews by herself with 5 star rating . After that I took my bike, and after riding few kilometres, I found that none of the work was done, I told them to do . The front break was still making rubbing sound, the clutch was still loose and making sound. Silencer still smoky. And they charged 1300 rupees but not done a single work in vehicle.
I’m unable to understand why Royal Enfield wants to loose customers.

Yeah bro genuine video bro my Himalayan bs6 instrument cluster got damage after delivery 40days then I visited they said it won't claim Under warranty I said bike was not falldown and it was not got any accident and it has not crashed just simply in running it was damaged I said to them they said it won't claim
