It's not, first of all you can use the chant as combo cancel to chain even more hit that normally are not possible without grail cancel second of all the chant counter carries over between round third of all it took really little mana bar per chant so overall.
Archer is actually, VERY *VERY* strong in this game...So y'know. Also he can animation cancel with each line he says so you can use it to extend to combos a bit. Archer is very strong.

Every updated FGO animations are based on this game. If you play this game you'll quickly notice that their moveset became the base of the Command Card Deck in FGO.
They used the "voice lines" for Berserker from the original visual novel in this. I wish they would have used them for FGO as they are way more intense and brutal than what we got. Also, it seems like they took some inspiration from this game for Saber Alter's animation update, given the way she tosses her sword from hand to hand.

@@MrDibara Neither Sakura nor Caster are actually all that great for a simple reason: they both rely way too much on having meter. For both if you somehow run out of meter you're dead. That is not the case for characters like Shirou or Gil who also have projectiles and very strong combo options.

Sakura seems like she can do quite a lot of multi-hitting combos, though. Is she really that reliant on Meter? Caster I can understand, she's pretty much a projectile-focused character.
