This song is a breath of fresh air something different and unique. The blends of the heavy metal chugs and the pop like vocals really work well together in this song. Lots of hooks and melodies that get stuck in your head, killer breakdowns, some great guitar solo's this song has it all. They released another new single along with this one called K.O. which is more of a feels are reals ballad kind of song but gives me chills everytime! Camille's vocals on it are brilliant! The delay guitar parts and buildups make the song so epic. Honestly I think I might slightly prefer it over Coda but two amazing songs can't wait for more from this band! \m/
Novelists have been a little hit or miss from me since their previous (male) vocalist quit last year (or 2023 if you read this in 2025). He was replaced with Camille Contreras from Bliss Sigh, who featured on the song C'est La Vie in 2020. I don't she has really done metal vocals before she joined. C'est La Vie is a vibey soft rock song. After she has joined they have experimented with their sound, which has occasionally been successful like in this case, and less with other songs. Coda and K.O. which was released on the same single, and they have all together release 6 songs with her as the vocalist. It's probably easier getting in this version of Novelists if you haven't listen to their older stuff.
