Brings back memories from when I've lived there for a while. I remember a colleague saying that Frankfurt is Germany's largest village. And sometimes it really felt like this. Hundreds of thousands of commuters each day, but the city itself not even that large actually.
In Europe it's common to leave neighbouring suburbs be their own towns. In America towns like Offenbach and pmuch everything else directly attached to Frankfurt would count to the city proper.

It's Sunday. I've spent all day lazing in my home. I am sitting in my computer with a blanket on my legs. And yet this video makes me feel like i've been working all day and i'm about to go home and get some much needed rest.
So many things about Frankfurt reminded me so much of my American Home City of Boston, that I affectionately called Frankfurt "The German Boston." The River Main (aka the "German Charles River") separates the outskirts from the more metropolitan heart of the city (akin to Boston and Cambridge). When I was there, it was like a Home away from Home for me.

Wonderful. Such a big city even with a lot of skyscapers and so little light pollution. No unnecessary tacky building illumination, no huge LED digital screens, no disgusting white LED headlights and lamps. The streetlights are pleasant yellow or orange (be them LED or sodium). So many pleasant dark friendly spaces. I am so sick of all that extremely light pollution in Asian cities where night is really gone that I really like Frankfurt. I like dark-friendly cities and there are so many of them in Europe - France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, some cities in Italy. I definitely prefer Frankfurt to Shanghai, Seol or even New York.
@@iyadkamhiyeh527 Yes, imagine a city full of bright lights, so bright that it becomes nauseating, especially when it's night time and you're tired but all the lights from the city can be seen through your eyeballs when you close your eyes.
