Want = modes of communication like letter, mail, phone, physical meet ( desire to connect thru call or formal desire to just drop a mail)
Demand = only specific mode of communication like through smart phones and that too with specif brand like Apple ((need + want (desire) + buying power, here buying power is the key factor, when one is credible enough to go beyond desire, attach money and buy a priveleged product or service.

But, Some times marketers also create need. For example, We don't have T.V. in old days and the technology came and created the need, which in turn created the demand. i.e. sometimes marketers will tell us what our wants are actually.

you needed to work more upon your knowledge at this specific domain, in simple u could have said that want is specific. lets suppose if a person is hungry so we can say that he is in NEED- of the food, when need become specific it becomes want - like for satisfying your need u want burger, but you could also have a varieties of option like pani puri, dal chawal, etc, but u have selected burger to eat, its specific in choice so this is what we called WANT.
