I think I'll go with the 4060.
because it only requires 115 watts of power.
paired with i5 12400F / R5 5600 / R5 7500F . (limited with power limit)
will be a power efficient PC 😎 (gaming PC under 200watt )
I'd rather go for the 4060 ti if the 4060 isn't too cheap just 40w extra and can be done within 250w and a 500-550w of power supply is enough.
But here it's a $120 difference

I only chose Nvidia even though it was expensive because
Nvidia driver update life was longer than AMD/Radeon. (example 750Ti and RX580)
If you really care that much about power efficiency you should try a gaming laptop with 4060, the cheapest model costs approximately the same to build a pc with one, and it performs the same
But if you dont care about power efficiency, and judging from your name, you're from indonesia like me and here, you can find used 3070 from reputable sellers for cheaper than 4060 and get 30% better performance

it is really a 4050, less bus less energy usage, the entire idea of the card is to use less energy like a 4050 but it costs more than a 1060 and 2060 costed on launch with only 8gb, its outdated right way and the idea is "dont worry bro, bro every game will use dlss and frame gen, bro dont worry" for 200-240 with inflation its fine, also yes it preforms better than a 1080 ti, but for 300? Nah, even the 7600 seems a better deal for 270, it runs suprisingly well most games sometimes better than the 4060, but anyone who has a 3060 or a 6600 sees no reason to upgrade. So what do people do? They buy 3050s and 2060 supers or even 1660 ti and what is nvidias response? Release a 4050 for 200? So i have an a2000 low prpfile card, it runs better than my 3050 8gb from msi. But now i might sell the a2000 for low profile 4060...since i can sell for $400 i think it should be ok and save me some money?

RTX 4060 is the best 50 series card ever launched, if only it was called 4050 or 4050 Ti and costed the same of an GTX 1050/1050 Ti (even with wathever inflation increase...) , as optimistic naming as calling RX 7600 the 6500XT successor...

No they're not. The 1650 doubles the performance of 1050 and is slightly better than 1060, the 3050 doubles the performance of 1650 and is slightly slower than 2060. So the next 50 series card should perform 2x better than the 3050 and performs slightly better than 3060, guess what card that is (the 4060). The real 4060 should've been atleast equal to the 3070 and that is the 4060 ti.
A 4060 is not the best. A 4070 is quite a bit better. But eventhough it's not the top card, it's still really good compared to a tone of other cards. It's leagues better then my old RX580.

the 7600 is just as good if not a little worse in benchmakrs and costs less.
@kelvinkms3671 for an extra 20ish fps. It does have 12gb, 4 more then the 4060, but that's mostly futureproofing. My next upgrade will probably be a 5060 12gb or 5070 12gb.

For real people you expect a generational leap of double the performance by comparing same ''50'' or ''60'' or whatever class gpu? This should not be a 4050 gpu. It is good as a 60 gpu. 4060 is equivalent with 3060 ti in ''some'' games and it easily beats the 3060 when it is not about a scenario that needs huge vram amount. 4060 is close to doubling the perf of the 3050 with the same or even less power consumption. I don't find a particular reason hating this card. Both cards are good for what they are and they satisfy a big variety of people. Stop hating

For example i will not upgrade my 3080 ti any time soon cause it doesn't worth it , unless i go for rtx 4090 but still too expensive and i dont need it. The only reasonable complaint with 4000 series nvidia cards is pricing, the cards themselves are fine. So are amd 7000 series cards.
4060/7600/4060 ti are good enough for 1080p gaming at high settings with over 100fps
7700xt good enough for 1440p gaming in high settings at close to 100fps
7800xt/4070/4070S good enough for 1440p gaming at over 100fps in high settings
4070ti/4070tiS/7900xt good enough for 1440p and even 4k over 60 fps in most games with high settings.
4080/4080S/7900xtx good enough for 4k gaming at about 100fps high settings
4090 is on a league of its own, but so is its price.

Personally i game at 3440x1440 with my 3080 ti but it still kicks asses even at 4k. Usually same performance or even better than 4070 ti at some titles at 4k.Very strong card with strong specs that really shine at high resolutions cause it doesn't lose performance as drasticaly as other gpus with weaker memory bus width and bandwidth overall.
and again they are making a new 3050 with 6gb vram, 500 less cuda cores and only 96bit bus😑

Smallest Ampere GPU actually is an MX 570 below RTX 2050 Laptop and RTX 3050 Laptop but it features 2 GB VRAM only. MX 550 is Turing (Ampere's predecessor). Also, there is no such GPU called 1060 Super as far as I can tell.
