I did that once too. I was putting the winter tires on the work truck with the jack when my boss told me I'd save a bunch of time using the tractor. It was a little sketchy but way more fun. Who wouldn't want to lift up an F350 with a tractor? Unlike your dad, I did block the front wheels just in case.
That's a fatality waiting to happen. No wheels chocks on the SUV or the tractor. IH tractors of that era didn't have the best brakes. Not to mention that it's down hill, wouldn't take much for the SUV to slip off of the bucket. YOU NEVER RELY ON THE HYDRAULICS TO HOLD UP SOMETHING YOU'RE WORKING ON! Not to mention the damage he's doing to the SUV, it's not meant to be lifted like that.
@caulk04 i personally believe that the tractor is easier and fast then a standard jack a jack will lift one side from the looks of it hes going to replace two tires this would make it alot easier and not as much time as a jack would take as u would have to jack up one side change the tire then jack up the other, why would u do that when u can just lift the back end once change em both and put it back down after. that seems like alot easier and faster way
