If he is stated to be slow in the books, it only makes sense that he's kinda slow in the games. Mimic doesn't need to be fast. He's an ambush killer. That's what makes him scary. He hides and waits for the perfect moment to mutilate you brutally.

The mimic isn’t burntrap, atleast not physically. Burntrap is only the mimic in the regard that is run by glichtrap which is the digital mimic but not the physical mimic we see in the story or game. Scott also revealed in his interview that burntrap was supposed to be a stationary Easter egg and not a moving character but since he withheld information from steal wool he became a boss. Also the mimic has changed eye color multiple times, it comes with the mimicking.
@@executioner4291 I don’t believe the mimic was ever described as having ears in the book. Plus just because mimic had fused to someone it’s still missing the rest of burntrap parts. Unless you want to argue that the mimic in the story isn’t the same mimic in ruin than I just do t see how the mimic could become burntrap with a completely different Endo unless it was a Endo inhabited by Glichtrap and not the physical mimic.
