- Teen pianist, Evan Brezicki, performs "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey, at a private party in Cornelius, North Carolina. The next day, the volunteer pianist program at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, where he performs weekly, temporarily suspended performances due to the growing Coronavirus outbreak around the world. We hope that this song inspires people to stay hopeful that things will improve.

This kid has some cajones playing in front of that many people and nailing it. Especially when they're being loud. Background noises distract me so bad and playing in front of people I always mess up so bad. Huge respect and kudos. It's not just the talent of his playing that is impressive, it's also the context I admire.
Reminds me of a highschool talent show. I played "Always" by BonJovi, and this guy who I knew from my drama class decided he wanted to sing to it.
He's never sang before and I tried to talk him into rehearsing a few times but he didnt feel it was necessary lol.
This guy's got more balls than a pool table, and I don't know how to transpose, so I just play it the way I normally do, and he sang his heart out on stage... the whole song... it was horrible!!
Luckily I had another song "Everything I Do" by Bryan Adams, and I played with a girl who could actually sing and a guy who played guitar and it went well! So... at least everyone in the audience knew it wasn't the pianist who sucked.

I did this for my grandparents but with mama Mia. My grandpa pulled out his phone and started playing Mama Mia at max volume while I was playing. Poor kid, but he’s doing great! I’m surprised he’s not messing up! Fantastic!

@@cezzy_1496 He/She might mean the singing. I do some music related stuff myself, and I know that if even one person is offbeat (singing or otherwise), it’s really hard to keep yourself on beat. You also notice your mistakes a lot more when you know people are watching, which is also hard. That’s just me personally though
@@Smordor_Stormcrow oh, I never thought of that. Its definitely scary when you mess up in front of someone weather you sing dance play piano or just anything really.
Its always conforting to have a friend (or friends) or a family member (of members) to give you feedback and support! I play piano and i welcome positive and negative criticism alike. Its nerve-racking when you perform in front of someone for sure.

I play the piano by ear since 1978, and incorporate the lyrics in with the right hand in treble clef same way he just played. It is harder than most folks think. You are not only recreating what the keyboard player did, but sometimes the bass player and singer as well.
Play many Beatles songs with lyrics included and most times it works out, sometimes not so good.... 😭
