Blue collar here. It's absolutely like that. On the work place, if you have a disagreement with a coworker that is from your own group, the fight remain between you and him. Even if it turns bad, it's still a "private" matter berween two INDIVIDUALS.
If you have a disagreement with a coworker that is from another country, it almost guaranteed that the thing will escalate into other stuff. The racism accuse will almost inevitably be put on the table, other people will be involved, and will become a matter between two GROUPS. No matter who started it or for what stupid reason that have nothing to do with ethnicity or identity.
This happened to me, this guy didn't like the schedule I made and accused me of racism, meanwhile it was the best I could do because I had accomodate other peoples needs as well, absolute nonsense the guy sucked anyway I wish I could have fired him.

The very short form of what Sam is saying: businesses that can leverage an economy of scale take advantage of regulatory capture.
Further explanation: Large businesses aren't really more "efficient" or "effective" than small businesses, in fact in many cases they are less so. They are just less likely to be harmed by mistakes and inefficient practices because of their size, and can more easily afford to make strategic decisions that benefit themselves in the long term. This itself is not necessarily a bad thing, but these businesses are also able to take advantage of regulatory capture.
Regulatory capture is when businesses leverage governments interference in the market. One example is raising minimum wage, which is why huge corporations that employ lower-income workers support it. Minimum wage does very little to actually benefit those workers, but is popular among the less educated and economically illiterate, making it easy for politicians to platform on, and it causes harm to small businesses in the short term while the market adjusts to the new wage policy. It doesn't really help workers in any significant way, but it puts a lot of pressure on small businesses, often contributing to them being driven out of business by large corporations who can afford to "eat the cost" of the disruption caused by the raised wages.
There are countless other examples of regulatory capture, but that's an obvious and common one. It's what Sam was referring to in this video.

During the 2010s a wave of milennials entered the work force at mid level jobs many of which were competent. The boomers dealt with this encroaching power rise that would affect their positions by hiring based on diversity and group think over competent singular drive you get with straight white males. That's why HR and diversity hires are hurdles for anyone that can get to the top. Rest assured if a woman is made a boss that means she will fight to the death to keep a competent male from taking the position of the real boss. Sam is exactly right about the way diversity helps management. I've been a union member my whole working life. I've seen identity politics employed in so many ways to divide and conquer the workforce. In the old days, capitalists would openly boast of their technique of imposing a "healthy mixture" of races and ethnicities in order to make unionizing more difficult (if not impossible because of language barriers).

Entire jobs do not exist that once did because of minimum wage. A company might take a risk to train someone to eventually get them to where their productivity is north of minimum wage, but that preferably won’t take an enormous period of time because they’re taking a loss in the meantime. You can see how there is less risk if they are allowed to pay you based on your productivity at every step of skill acquisition.

I work in a field where I speak with a lot of truckers and yes, most of them are white brothers, but a lot of mexican brothers too, and some black brothers as well. Truckers are just bros who love the road.

There are a couple examples of uprisings that weren't homogenous. The one that immediately comes to mind is Bacon's Rebellion. It's often contested whether he was a scoundrel or not, but he did manage to convince a bunch of slaves, indentured whites, and if I remember correctly even some natives to revolt against the Virginia colonial government.
The Virgina slave codes were created partially as a consequence of Bacon's Rebellion. Prior to that, poor/indentured whites weren't used as task masters. Afterwards, slave owners started doing so to avoid something like Bacon's Rebellion happening again. If you were some poor indentured servant, that was better than McDonald's being your only prospect for a career, and getting hired as a PM at a tech company complete with open office and catered free lunch every day.
