Ok but how to you manage the identity that are connected to each connectors . this video shows how to change the owner of each connector that is great but not enough
how does the permissions work for the connectors used in the flow? For instance, in your flow, you had an outlook connector that is sending an e-mail. Whose e-mail will it send from when the flow gets triggered.
Thank you! Microsoft documentation fails to provide the detail on how to change the Flow Owner using the Details Edit button (not the Owner Edit which would make a lot more sense!). I appreciate the video explaining it a lot better!
thanks for the informative video. how it affect the licensing if you change from a user to a Service Application ? Does it make as a Premium one. I mean how it different from Service Account.
Thank you so much for this. y did u create a app user account in AD and used in power automate? just regular service account is enough, right? just curious to know.
App Service principal account gives multiple advantages over Service account Like - 1) no license assignment is required 2) no additional maintenance required for password expired cases 3) work with limited permission , reduced chances of security breach and a way more secure than service account
@@krishansharma4778 When I create the Service Principal, the connectors are still using my account though even when the SP is the flow owner. Is there a way to point the connectors elsewhere and/or will they fail if/when I leave my organization?
As far as I know, you have to share the connections with the Service Principal user. Then it should work when you leave the organization :) @@nickatworknj311
Really useful insight. Is there anything I should do to make a service principal slectable as the owner in a Power automate. I have added it as a App User in the enviroment , tried different API permissions and even created a custom App Role but so far I am getting "srv prin Flow owner" is not a user or team in you Microsoft Dataverse Organisation" error ?
I got the error stating "RetrievePrivilegeForUser: The user with id ************************ has not been assigned any roles. They need a role with the prvReadWorkflow privilege." Could you please assist what access is missing

When I assign Service APplication user its asking for license
Limitations to this is licensing. You cannot license the app user
