The movie is based on the novel Rebecca. In the original novel as well, the lead male protagonist chooses to marry a very young, simple, naive, and plain looking girl as his 2nd wife. The idea here was that he wanted someone the complete opposite of the beautiful and sophisticated but eventually unfaithful first wife, Rebecca. Of course, this sort of idea doesn't fly in 2024.
Apart from the story or what ever it is. This movie somewhere showed the reality especially about a girl who gets married and finds way to adjust for new lifestyle .
The movie only advises that trust on your spouse. If there is any issue, talk and discuss with each other and solve. But never take any action out of anger. Trust, love and respect the conjugal relationship.
But if that spouse is abusive and toxic what to do?if he physically and mentally tortures you then what to do....I think divorce is the best option if the partner is abusive

I knew the whole time malini was the murderer. The thirst in her eyes for vikram was showing in the movie. And that scene where vikram comes with jia and says his married. You can see how hurt malini was so sad 😞
the whole staff was so rude and disrespectful to her. The all kept on talking about his dead wife, and kept mentioning her as though she was still the real lady of the house. The second wife has no self respect and dignity. This is what happens when you marry someone who was previously married. He only mistakenly believed his dead wife was cheating on him which led him to hate her, and after finding out the truth, how will he feel about his current wife. As the current wife have some self respect and take your rightful place in the house.
