Loved the dolphin story! I read about a memorial paddle out for a guy in Huntington Beach, and during the circle holding hands, a seal popped up in the middle of the group, would not leave, and ended up body surfing a wave in with the group!

While standing in a carpark about a kilometer above Duranbah, there was a few of us watching guys carving up waves and someone at the carpark said, "That's Mick Fanning". I said 'how do you know' and he said, "he's surfing faster than everyone else". If you break down his surfing, he does the the most and probably best transitions out of any surfers. His surfing speaks for itself but he seems a great bloke too!
