No, I'm not a psycho-stalker. I'm a grandma, over 60 and just love music... lol.
My dad had 8 guitars growing up (Gospel/Country).
My older brother played bass, lead, rhythm guitar in the JR. and HS rock band, and bass, violin, viola and cello in the Tacoma All City Symphony Orchestra for the HS Invitational when he was in 9th grade (14).
I played a 12-string Yamaha for our Church Singles' Ministry (~100-125 people) every Friday night for Worship and Praise for a few years, and...
My Soldier son is a drummer, 8 years of lessons every week. We turned the living room into their studio. Bad mistake. It cost a few grand to soundproof it, but it moved out to the garage. Should have invested in Tylenol stock, lol.
I also have a $10,000 home stereo, no tv, and an amazing Bose system in my SUV. It is tied to the VIN #. If someone manages to steal it, after they take out the dashboard and steering wheel, and steals it, it won't work, lol.

@@juliettedunn2195 This aria is not about sustaining notes, this role has much more difficult C5 notes that you need to sustain, alongside dramatic sopranos who have massively big and loud voices. Nessun Dorma is an easy aria from this opera. It is about the colour and power of the voice, not the length of the notes. Pavarotti was one of the best lyric tenors, but he really did not have the voice for this role. Pavarotti, to his credit understood this pretty well, which is why he didn't really try to perform this role live on stage. Franco Corelli was the perfect tenor for this role, and performed it over a 100 times.

It is not an aria that is suppose to be sung with ease, it is about having a big ego and winning, it suppose to be performed with incredible power. This role is meant for a dramatic tenor, like Franco Corelli, he is the only one who could really perform this live without a microphone. Antoine is young, he could still gain a lot of power in his voice.

I will never deny the greatness of Pavarotti, Jonas, bocelli or any others not presented here, but Master Jonathan although still young in his career has a quality to his sound to his voice ,to the power he exerts, there is as much a passion for the love of singing I hear equally in Pavarotti and Jonathan Antoine. Should consider this as well, with this comparison, Jonathan is a 27-year-old young man, relatively the beginning of his career and he's being compared with these others.

You did not show the one where Corelli held it the longest. Corelli owned Nessun Dorma and did more performances of Turandot at the Met than any other tenor, despite getting there at age 40 and retiring at 50. Although, Pavarotti made Nessun Dorma his signature song, he paid tribute to Corelli . Corelli started his opera singing at age 32. He toured Europe

My opera coach was there when Pavarotti initially auditioned and stated how amazing his voice was at a young age. The resonance in his voice was a placement several feet outside and in front of his body. No microphone was ever needed for him. Opera performers know how to project that voice into the vast open space. Just because you can sing the notes does not mean you are on the same plane.

With the greatest of respect true operatic voices don't rely on reverb, microphones or other technological gimmicks their voices need to carry over a full orchestra on there own without amplification and audio enhancements. Jonathan is a great Pop-Classical crossover Tenor (maybe the best in that niche) but I think he has already wasted any potential he may have had for real "Opera" because he lost focus on went for the much easier but more lucrative option of commercialised classical music rather like; Katherine Jenkins, Alfie Boe, Andrea Bocelli, Russell Watson etc....have all done, there's nothing wrong with that and their all world class singers but there's a fundamental difference between Popera and traditional Opera and mastering the vocal techniques and stage craft.

No, he is not. Pavarotti only sang this role 6 times in his life. He said that if he sung the role more, he would damage his voice. This role was not suited to Pavarotti's lyric tenor voice. It requires a dramatic voice. This opera has one of the biggest orchestra and they use a lot of brass instruments. There are huge choirs and big voiced dramatic sopranos. This is just a very big opera, hopefully you can hear that from this example:
      th-cam.com/video/gVdgIiar_0Y/w-d-xo.html
The first act also has quite a few low notes, again not ideal for a lyric tenor voice. Corelli sang this role 123 times, he was known as the Calaf. But there were others who was also great in role, like for example Giacomo Lauri Volpi, the role as written for him originally.
