As a solo player I still find it to be a lot easier and less of a hassle to start by driving with the long fin to the airfield, park it there, collect the loot from the hangar which in most cases is enough (if not just go outside of the hangar and head south to the shed for more), then go back to the long fin, head to the drainage tunnel, do the compound the old way like you did in your first tutorial from 2020, get everything and leave the way you did in this video. You can easily do the heist in 10 minutes this way and have a lot less spots to mess up
what makes it so much better is if you have 2 accounts you can make double your money like yesterday i made 3.7 million by doing the cayo perico heist solo Main account 2.1 million with the panther statue 1.6 with madrazo files
Personally, the way I've been doing Cayo Perico these days is the following: - Submarine/Drainage Tunnel entry - get to Rubio's office only dropping the Personal Bodyguards at the bottom and top of the stairs - grab primary target - Optional: eliminate all remaining compound guards and grab Gold/Paintings if playing with another player - escape the compound and the island altogether while keeping stealth I don't even bother going for secondary targets at the Airfield or Docks anymore (unless it's the rare stashes of Coke for a solo run) because it's not worth the risk of going loud due to someone finding a body on the other side of the island.
Quite literally my strat too. Once im out the compund i take the bike and drive off the cliff north bound from the bike spawn. Swimming right till you see a rock that is tall enough to climb and eventually you'll be greeted by a boat with an enemy. Then go to the airstrip, loot it, then sail home.
You can take the Longfin to the Airport and grab Secondary targets easily, then head to Rubio's compound via drainage tunnel to grab Primary target and safe contents all solo, and still complete the Elite challenge for extra cash in under 15 mins.
Great video, just two (bit unethical) things: 1. You can change the primary target to be 100% Madrazzo files for $1'100'00) by creating your second gta online character, loading in, loading back to the character selection and deleting the second (new) one, this way if you have scoped out the island and don't like the primary target, you can get better loot. 2. You CAN get gold solo, for that you need to perform so called "buffered ledge grab" (in short, the game saves your position, you move out and it tries to move you back, but you get stuck in the room with gold). Both methods were in the game for multiple years now, so there's basically no chance of it getting patched and an even smaller chance of getting punished for using it. Hope that this helps someone
Theres a small time save strat for the safe code prep. After collecting the codes you're prompted to run back through the casino and exit. However, you can suicide and spawn directly outside the casino.
By the way guys at 4:45, If there is a guard at the bottom of the tower or if you see someone there on the minimap then that means the electrical box will be higher up on the tower. If there is no guard then the electric box will 100% be at the bottom of the tower. Hope this helps people :)
You can tell exactly where every guard on the island will be for the scope out based on a single guard placement. There's only two variations. If there is a guard patrolling the road out of the airstrip, then the box will be on the ground. If he isn't there, you'll be climbing the tower.
For the plasma cutter mission, not only do you not need a clear picture of the planning board, you actually _can't send the photo to Pavel_ if you take a close-up, _good_ shot of the board, like you were role playing and assuming that whoever looks at this photo needs to _read the words_ on the board.
Apparently if you reset or restart during the heist it still counts as not dying so you can get Rubio’s hat I tried to solo it and I guess I forgot since I haven’t done on in over a year about the guards auto detecting corpses even though I only killed the guards with the red cones of sight
I have to say man the part at 11:55 had me giggling. I could hear the sarcasm and frustration many of us has felt at times doing this heist. For the most part it is smooth but then you get that one run where every guard has xray vision and detects you from half the map away. Also My man took the slowest possible solo route, that seems like a slog not gonna lie. My advice, loot at the airfield and take the boat to the drainage tunnel entrance, much faster. Also on the exit, my personal favorite spot right now is to ramp right hand side off the cliff by the palm and either go in the middle of the 3 mines or to the bones, they both take pretty much the same amount of time and you can land directly on the spot with a good ramp.

There was a time a couple of years ago when you could be seen through the wall of that main dock lockup, usually by the jeep. But that was patched and shouldn't happen now. (Likewise the tower camera seeing through the shed.) You're right about the guards hearing the cutting torch. From the very beginning, most people complaining about being seen through walls or unfairly detected were actually heard cutting with the torch. (You could see the guard react on the mini-map.) The guard never hear the bolt cutters, even when you're standing right behind the guard. They're rather useful, especially since bodies could be spotted. Which is undoubtedly how the heist was designed - there's a couple of lockups which were clearly intended to need to bolt cutters to be accessible, with nearby guards whose bodies will be spotted by jeeps no matter where on their path you kill them. (Killing the jeeps is an option, but quicker & easier to grab bolt cutters. None of the guards out around the island whose bodies can be seen need to be killed. Whatever they're guarding can always be accessed leaving them alone (with bolt cutters, or in the case of main dock uniforms... by just sneaking up behind them). The heist was clearly designed that way.
better than leaving the session if you get the meryweather weapons prep, if you have the missile controls in your kosatka you can fast travel nearby with the submarine, then fly a missile in to the helicopter parked on the roof of the base. It has 2 (maybe 3?) spawn locations on the roof its self, so I would say do a flyby first if youre not sure you can see it on your first approach. I wouldnt buy the missiles for this reason alone, but if you have them you might as well. maybe if youre close enough or get the right angle you might be able to get them with the periscope? never tried.
The mines are a useful guide, but don't correspond to the actual boundary you need to cross. If you jump the motorbike into the sea from the optimal place (right side of the peninsula) you can land in the sea beyond the finish boundary - the fastest exit possible. The 'leave cayo perico' text at the bottom of the screen changes when you cross the invisible boundary, a useful indicator for finding where it is and when you can stop swimming (if you're feeling lazy).
I have to admit, I always wrote this Heist off when R* fixed it so the Guards detect dead bodies... but that's because I was so set on the design being that they couldn't. Bolt Cutters was a serious puzzle piece I always overlooked, because if you have the Cutting Torch who cares? You could just kill nearby guards and no one would ever hear it. I came back recently to try and smash the Tier 4, and having mentally rewrtten the likes of Bolt Cutters & Guards Uniforms as Necessities and not Options, suddenly I'm playing the Heist as R* intended... just a shame they nerfed the payouts and cooldowns... and that stupid 72 hour cooldown that wrecks the payout even further.
I didnt done cayo perico this year and from starting at the north dock i have a a problem because the drivers get alerted when they see the sleeping guards there even when i am already on the otherside of the map. Any tip gta men ? If they aim for realistic stuff let me hide the guards
When I do the cayó heist I use the grappling hook and loot the airport first then grab a boat and head to drainage tunnel and then get the primary target and climb the south wall and then run to the left up the little hill and swim out to sea and I finish each heist under 12 minutes it’s easy
welp. 3 tries doing exactly what you do and i alert guards before i can kill the 1st guard driving by when solo main dock longfin silenced assault weapons. as soon as he drives by there is another guard who see's him die and if i kill that guard like you do, the car is already well on it's way
I just have one question, as I just got the Kosatka yesterday and started the Intel mission: will I have to watch that stupid, years long cutscene every time I do this? Because then I won’t. I want to play a video game, not watch a movie about people I don’t care about

I had a problem where the guard at the entrance to the cutscene at the beginning wasn't letting me in but I figured out the fix is you have to leave and once hes son texts you which happened for me right after I left then you can start the cutscene
The solo guide is all wrong. You want the conspirator load out because you're not going to kill the heavy at all. Side note- Kill everyone in the office with a hatchet to save money on ammo snack and body armor. Also because it's the most fun. You don't have to scope any other area during the scope mission, except for the landing strip. ONLY LOOT THE LANDING STRIP. You could potentially lose money, but the strip is the only doc that isn't bugged. You also save a lot of time on speed. Get the most valuable things on that dock and get back in the boat. Go to the drainage tunnel. YOU'VE ALREADY SAVED A TON OF TIME. If you make a straight line to the main entrance, there is an obvious path where no one sees you. If you do it fast enough, you don't have to worry about the heavy at all. The only person you have to kill is the person on the stairs near the office door. Get in, grab the loot, and leave through the same entrance that you came through it. If you time it right, you don't have to kill anyone to leave. When you're out, kill the guy who is guarding the bike. Steal the bike and drive to the coast. Swim away, and you're done. What he's doing with the jeep takes way too much time. Going to any other dock, but the landing strip is a waste of time. Even if you've lost money by only going to the landing strip, you get that money back in elite challenge and by having more available time to do more heist. You could always sell weapons right after the highest to make backs that money 🤷🏾♀️ It's good to fluctuate between Cayo and Dre anyway.

No. You will get it on the first Perico heist you buy this week (no need to actually scope/prep the heist, if you don't want to do it immediately, the loot is set when you buy the heist from Pavel). But you won't have a chance to get the panther again. If you have a heist purchased from before this event week, that won't have the panther, but your next heist after that will (if it's purchased before the event week ends). (N.B. The panther should be once per character, if you have a second character they should get 1 panther also - assuming it's the same as every previous panther event week.)

@@hnlong8531 Unfortunately you don't get a second chance. If you cancelled the current panther heist, I'm 99.9% sure you won't get another panther, even if you didn't actually do the heist. (Iirc the only time more than one panther per character was possible was once when they released it only for GTA+ members.)
@@itskiki4979 it’s always better to run it with at least one other person if you can, to get the gold. That way it’s more like 1.5-1.9. Not to mention cutting the cooldown to 1/3.

False. I obtained it on both characters during this heist event week. If you have the statue from a previous event week where it was available, You have to clear it before it is available again, otherwise the game will register it as already being collected on your character. Ask me how I know (!)
So recently i did the cayo perico heist solo and when i killed a guard and got the keys and went in like through the basement theres always like this imaginary guard that comes through an imaginary door while im trying to hack into the gate door. I also tried going in the other way through rubios office but then a random guard with its cone of vision covering my entire map and i get caught. Does any one know how to fix this bc it doesnt just happen to me it happens to all my friends and we cant even be able to successfully pull off the heist?
Idk about y'all but when I get the primary target loot somehow I get caught being in the underground vault area. I guess once you get the primary target loot The guards automatically know something is up or this is a bug that somehow make the guards have Superman powers like super hearing/See through walls. If this isn't a bug it's impossible to not get caught even if you took a acceptable route where other guards can't see dead bodies. Please comment below if anyone else is having the same issue as me and try to explain what might be the cause.
Might not be whats causing your problem but after taking primary target is usually when the new guards spawn in(?) so make sure the guards you killed before you went in arent in a place where the new guards will walk by in and spot
I too have the bug but I just find quitting the heist via phone and making sure my spawn location is set to kosatka so barely any time lost. Usually works the second time round
There is/was a bug where if you kill the walking red cone guard at the end of his route when he stands near the metal gate (where you need to kill him for the minigunner to not see his body), the additional guard by the Briosso which spawns in after you collect the main target will immediately see his body. (This didn't happen when body spotting was first added, but started bugging in 2023.) There were ways to avoid this, by killing him from the side so his body didn't fall forwards or by using the shotgun or rifle to push his body back out of the way. As of late summer 2024 it seemed to be fixed, it stopped bugging for me even when I let his body fall forwards. (I play on PC.) N.B. The guard walking near the panther cage can also have his body seen by another of the new guards which spawn in. (Annoying as he can hold the key card.) This isn't a bug. To avoid his body being seen you must kill him midway along his route between the two walls, which requires careful timing. A more practical option is don't kill him unless none of the other guards had the key card. (Not all guards can have it. None of the red cone or key holding guards will have it, nor the 2 guards upstairs or the one patrolling the main gate.) And if you do need to kill him, before taking the main target send one player up there to kill the new walking guard who spawns in before they see his body.
Sorry GTAmen this is a lot of faff and time wasting Solo - Take Longfin to airport - Grab secondary loots - Take Longfin back down to El Rubio's compound (Drainage tunnel) - Grab primary (via lift) and safe contents - Escape on motorbike and swim Can be completed as Elite challenge under 15mins, 0 hacks failed, no dying. Easy 😉
Easier solo method... (especially if you don't want to bother scoping the island at all, just the main target minimum requirement). Easy elite in under 7:30. - Enter via the North Dock - there's always uniforms at one of four locations around the edge of the dock (the only entry point with guaranteed uniforms). - There's also guaranteed grappling equipment there or nearby. And a 3 out of 4 chance of bolt cutters (very handy so guards don't hear you burning locks, even if you're standing right behind them they won't care). - Also, North Dock has the best loot probability for solo players. R* changed the seconday loot so cocaine is more likely to spawn in the lever/garage door lockups and less likely to spawn elsewhere. The North Dock lockup is still bugged and its door will stay open when you release the lever - but only if you arrive at the North Dock & before going to the compound. You can often get double coke there, or at worse coke + weed + cash isn't worth much less and fills a bag. (There's also the other two lockups, and the inner dock, weed farm & main dock on your way to the compound.) - Because you have guaranteed uniforms & motorbike, if you saved time by not scoping any secondary loot you can quickly roam the island at will looking now (much quicker now you don't have to sneak). If you have bolt cutters as well you can access every lockup (except the weed farm, unless you're very careful) without killing any guards, so no body detection. (At the weed farm it's easy to kill guards if needed, no roaming jeeps will see them.) You can also quickly check for grappling/bolt cutters at convenient locations on your way to the compound. - Having grappling equipment saves a lot of time shooting guards for the key code, which often bugs. (And the guard outside the gate can have his body seen by a patrolling jeep. Sometimes it despawns, but this is unreliable.) - Inside the compound, you can kill the minigunner if you wish, but it's easier to not bother. The two walking guards which might have the keys can easily be killed where he won't see them. Or if you're quick he won't get far enough to see them anyway. (Or you can take the elevator.)

yeah I made the mistake of choosing the plane to enter the island. had to spend a lot of time swimming. it's longfin from here on out.

I last played years ago but finding a body should be pretty certain to not happen if you pick the right target in the right spot, no?

Nah, you can use the missiles, but it's still quicker to do spawn a new session until you get the office missions
In the finale, when you jump into the ocean there's 3 sea mines. If you swim in between those you'll complete the heist the fastest
The mines are a useful guide, but don't correspond to the actual boundary you need to cross.

If you do it fast enough, you don't have to worry about the heavy at all. The only person you have to kill is the person on the stairs near the office door. Get in, grab the loot, and leave through the same entrance that you came through it. If you time it right, you don't have to kill anyone to leave. When you're out, kill the guy who is guarding the bike. Steal the bike and drive to the coast. Swim away, and you're done. What he's doing with the jeep takes way too much time. Going to any other dock, but the landing strip is a waste of time. Even if you've lost money by only going to the landing strip, you get that money back in elite challenge and by having more available time to do more heist. You could always sell weapons right after the highest to make backs that money 🤷🏾♀️ It's good to fluctuate between Cayo and Dre anyway.

Can you get panther multiple times this week?
No. You will get it on the first Perico heist you buy this week (no need to actually scope/prep the heist, if you don't want to do it immediately, the loot is set when you buy the heist from Pavel). But you won't have a chance to get the panther again.
If you have a heist purchased from before this event week, that won't have the panther, but your next heist after that will (if it's purchased before the event week ends).
(N.B. The panther should be once per character, if you have a second character they should get 1 panther also - assuming it's the same as every previous panther event week.)

@@hnlong8531 Unfortunately you don't get a second chance. If you cancelled the current panther heist, I'm 99.9% sure you won't get another panther, even if you didn't actually do the heist.
(Iirc the only time more than one panther per character was possible was once when they released it only for GTA+ members.)

@@itskiki4979 it’s always better to run it with at least one other person if you can, to get the gold. That way it’s more like 1.5-1.9. Not to mention cutting the cooldown to 1/3.

Every time the panther has returned before, it has been per character - you could get it on both.
False. I obtained it on both characters during this heist event week. If you have the statue from a previous event week where it was available, You have to clear it before it is available again, otherwise the game will register it as already being collected on your character. Ask me how I know (!)
So recently i did the cayo perico heist solo and when i killed a guard and got the keys and went in like through the basement theres always like this imaginary guard that comes through an imaginary door while im trying to hack into the gate door. I also tried going in the other way through rubios office but then a random guard with its cone of vision covering my entire map and i get caught. Does any one know how to fix this bc it doesnt just happen to me it happens to all my friends and we cant even be able to successfully pull off the heist?

Yes, Shame the Panther statue ain't always around
Idk about y'all but when I get the primary target loot somehow I get caught being in the underground vault area. I guess once you get the primary target loot The guards automatically know something is up or this is a bug that somehow make the guards have Superman powers like super hearing/See through walls. If this isn't a bug it's impossible to not get caught even if you took a acceptable route where other guards can't see dead bodies. Please comment below if anyone else is having the same issue as me and try to explain what might be the cause.
Might not be whats causing your problem but after taking primary target is usually when the new guards spawn in(?) so make sure the guards you killed before you went in arent in a place where the new guards will walk by in and spot
I too have the bug but I just find quitting the heist via phone and making sure my spawn location is set to kosatka so barely any time lost. Usually works the second time round
There is/was a bug where if you kill the walking red cone guard at the end of his route when he stands near the metal gate (where you need to kill him for the minigunner to not see his body), the additional guard by the Briosso which spawns in after you collect the main target will immediately see his body. (This didn't happen when body spotting was first added, but started bugging in 2023.)
There were ways to avoid this, by killing him from the side so his body didn't fall forwards or by using the shotgun or rifle to push his body back out of the way.
As of late summer 2024 it seemed to be fixed, it stopped bugging for me even when I let his body fall forwards. (I play on PC.)
N.B.
The guard walking near the panther cage can also have his body seen by another of the new guards which spawn in. (Annoying as he can hold the key card.) This isn't a bug. To avoid his body being seen you must kill him midway along his route between the two walls, which requires careful timing.
A more practical option is don't kill him unless none of the other guards had the key card. (Not all guards can have it. None of the red cone or key holding guards will have it, nor the 2 guards upstairs or the one patrolling the main gate.) And if you do need to kill him, before taking the main target send one player up there to kill the new walking guard who spawns in before they see his body.

Solo
- Take Longfin to airport
- Grab secondary loots
- Take Longfin back down to El Rubio's compound (Drainage tunnel)
- Grab primary (via lift) and safe contents
- Escape on motorbike and swim
Can be completed as Elite challenge under 15mins, 0 hacks failed, no dying.
Easy 😉
Easier solo method... (especially if you don't want to bother scoping the island at all, just the main target minimum requirement). Easy elite in under 7:30.
- Enter via the North Dock - there's always uniforms at one of four locations around the edge of the dock (the only entry point with guaranteed uniforms).
- There's also guaranteed grappling equipment there or nearby. And a 3 out of 4 chance of bolt cutters (very handy so guards don't hear you burning locks, even if you're standing right behind them they won't care).
- Also, North Dock has the best loot probability for solo players. R* changed the seconday loot so cocaine is more likely to spawn in the lever/garage door lockups and less likely to spawn elsewhere. The North Dock lockup is still bugged and its door will stay open when you release the lever - but only if you arrive at the North Dock & before going to the compound. You can often get double coke there, or at worse coke + weed + cash isn't worth much less and fills a bag. (There's also the other two lockups, and the inner dock, weed farm & main dock on your way to the compound.)
- Because you have guaranteed uniforms & motorbike, if you saved time by not scoping any secondary loot you can quickly roam the island at will looking now (much quicker now you don't have to sneak). If you have bolt cutters as well you can access every lockup (except the weed farm, unless you're very careful) without killing any guards, so no body detection. (At the weed farm it's easy to kill guards if needed, no roaming jeeps will see them.) You can also quickly check for grappling/bolt cutters at convenient locations on your way to the compound.
- Having grappling equipment saves a lot of time shooting guards for the key code, which often bugs. (And the guard outside the gate can have his body seen by a patrolling jeep. Sometimes it despawns, but this is unreliable.)
- Inside the compound, you can kill the minigunner if you wish, but it's easier to not bother. The two walking guards which might have the keys can easily be killed where he won't see them. Or if you're quick he won't get far enough to see them anyway. (Or you can take the elevator.)
@@ibex485 Well I agree I don't even bother scoping secondary targets anymore if I want to save time. It all depends on where and how much time your comfortable spending it on the island.
