- The annual fireworks display in Laurel. It is always held on the closest Saturday to the Fourth. This took place on Saturday, July 2nd, 2011. Laurel always puts on a great show. I think it's the best display in the area next to the Capital Fourth Fireworks display on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
