Season 8 was definitely the most ambitious season they have ever made. the amount of battles, stunts and explosions throughout, the amount of ppl involved in this season's episodes. This is the most action packed and most epic Season TWD's ever done for sure
Full amount of actions, but extremely weak plot, messy, and the protagonist characters look like they have no plan to war with their enemy. No discussion scenes between their leaders about how are they going to fight their enemy. Plus that, the scenes are not arranged in chronological order, too many flash back scenes, total mess.
@@sorestarbing3978 there were a couple flashbacks and scenes taking place at the same time that anyone with half a brain can follow, the show was still very chronological. There were planning and discussion scenes so that criticism of there being none is just an incorrect statement. The plot was strong, I don't see how it's messy. Season 8 stuck to its themes harder than any season ever did, the theme of danger, loss and ultimately forgiveness and building the future. Carl's character and death glues all those things together which is why I love it
Very underrated season. It did have a few bad episodes, but was generally interesting and a big step up from seasons 6-7. It gets unfairly lumped in with 7 as being one of the worst by many people.
If that’s how to explain Carl dying…. Carl was always the future before Judith. They’re milking Judith to death and never will stop they’re basically a comic relief “Shaun of the dead” territory now. Just cringe writing and directing all of it.

Season 10 in my opinion was amazing negan was perfect yes I was disappointed by how they didn’t give him a fight with beta but how it was set up they did good with it now everybody’s like there’s not enough death Sadiq Laura Dante Earl Alpha Gamma Beatrice Beta A lot of whisperers and almost negan and Gabe Season 10 was amazing with betas death being best in the series and with the extra storylines with the whisperers knocking down the tree in hilltop and later destroying hilltop and making everybody flee and also with killing ppl at Alexandria by contaminated water and Dante along with the cave beta going into Alexandria killing Laura and others along with alpha and Daryl almost killing each other and with beta bringing the horde to the hostpital and also with my favorite scene of all time Gabe shiving Dante Overall great season
Season 2 is the best for me almost every character gets development,figuring out how the new world will work,others dealing with their personal business,beliefs and of course Rick and Shane conflict.

The characters are shit anymore. Idek half their names and I don’t really care to know bcuz they don’t have any of the characters do anything interesting. Negan is the only character I like to see anymore
Best season: 6 (best of everything the show can be) Most underrated season: 2 (hated by fans when it first aired, and still is hated to a degree. But I love that it's this slow burn view of a group of people not knowing how to cope and deal with the end of the world. Everybody is just so lost and stubborn and half-mad in this season and I think it's realistic in how it presents the character dynamics. Some find it too boring or insufferable. Not me.) Worst season: 7 (it's just dull and meandering.)

I'm not gonna lie I probably would've ranked 1 or 2 seasons differently but I'll admit I respect your opinion, ever season that you ranked you explained in the best way as possible and I understood your reasoning for every rank, season 8 honestly wasn't that bad because after watching it a couple of times I started to understand the message of the season as a whole and Scott Gimple did a good job, now I might've not have agreed with him killing Carl off but the way they did it in his final moments were done very well and it honestly made me cry
I don't agree on Season 7 being that low. 701 tops all of Season 3 4, and 716 was the most ambitious TWD finale yet at the time, it's bigger gun battle than 408. I also love 702 705 708 709 710. Very beautiful season to me. The unique episode styles every week and soundtracks in 7 were on the highest level

I think seven makes eight look like a masterpiece so I ain’t mad at your 8 ranking 😊 I think minor mistakes were sadly made in the writing of 812 and 813 that kept them from being /really/ great episodes. Glad you agree season four is underrated, I think it’s the best thematically, has the most underrated episode in 416 (plus fantastic flashbacks revealing ricks change of headspace in the time between 316 and 401), the greatest episode in 408 w the most well written most well acted dialogue in the entire series (ricks speech to the gov). Also some welcome mystery brewing in the latter half with the weird paintings (e.g. terminus Mary and the sunflowers). 412 and 413 are a down point: the former a bit cringe worthy, and the latter arguably with zero forward momentum. 414 yet another Gimple gem adapted in a fresh way from the comics. You can see how Scott had the whole season mapped out brilliantly, yet it still gets complaints. Season five, so so great, I think 501-503 and 512-516 might be the most watchable of the show. I like 510 better than most. 505 is a shining star in the admitted problem section from 504 through 509. I would argue 605 and 606 are equally weak points, but the rest of the season is absolutely tremendous, as good as 5. I liked the Glenn fake out (The “death” ruined me more any, n more than his actual death in 701, probably because I wasn’t expecting it and it shocked the crap out of me); but the length of time before the reveal ruined it (As did talking dead’s shenanigans, paparazzi/location stalkers revealing Yeun still on set, etc). Had they found a way to come back to the reveal sooner, it would’ve helped. All the momentum was gone. And 6B is so good despite problems with the final two episodes. 609 is an absolute all-time top tier episode. 611 612 and 613 are all fantastic. Some final words, I really liked the first five of season nine, and think the bitter taste that seasons seven and eight left in a lot of peoples miles caused them to feel the early season nine episodes were poor. (902 n 903 great stuff... 7.8 or 7.9 on IMDb? Ridic). You omitted your thoughts on the scars episode, would love to hear them. The episode was a little out there, but super effective, not too unrealistic, and I loved it. Last comments: very hard for me to rank the first three seasons even though I watched them all at the date of their airing. Season one because it is so short and as you well argued, steaks just naturally felt less intense. Then, season two and season 3B were so wildly uneven, to put it kindly, compared to their respective halves. Night and day. Whether one liked or disliked Andrea through season two, how they wrote her in season three was utterly ridiculous. 204, 205... 311, 313, 314 (n disappointing finale showdown)- some of the worst the series had to offer. Again great job 👍

I personally think season 10 was good I love what they did with beta his death was perfect. and yeah I see what you mean about the whisperers not being threatening as much. in the finale they literally showed their knifes and made it obvious they were humans, they didn't try to be subtle lol. and honestly beta vs negan in the comics was good but in the show negan is a smaller dude and he's literally been In a cell for so long he wouldn't be able to take on beta it would've been unrealistic. also the whisperer war was unique a slow war. not like its usual fast paced wars I liked it.
I dont mind the walkers picking up stuff it is mentioned in the comics a few times and I feel like it is justified because they are less decayed than they were later in the show

First 5 episodes and obviously 408 were amazing, but the 2 governor standalone episodes and the slow second half drops it down for me. I thought season 3 was awesome throughout especially with the whole Andrea dynamic and her trying to make peace. Also the rescuing Glenn and Maggie episode where they infiltrate Woodbury is SOOOO UNDERRATED LIKE WHY DOES NOBODY TALK ABOUT THAT. Season 9 for me is the best because personally there's not a single meh episode. Every single episode in season 9 is good.

I think seasons 7 and 8 are incredibly overhated. They are my favourite seasons and it's tiring to always see people putting them at the bottom of their lists (not talking about you, just a lot of people in general).
Honestly there was no reason the negan/saviors story arc should’ve been two seasons long they’ve could’ve just cut the garbage people and Oceanside then put the standalone episodes together and it would’ve been one of the best seasons

@@heresnegan6825 the well, the cell, bury me here, sing me a song, hostiles and calamities could’ve been put together everything else is clearly unnecessary filler aside from the first, mid and season finale episodes and for season 8 the first 5 episodes could’ve easily been 2 or 3 Morgan going crazy again felt repetitive and the entire kingdom army getting killed even shive was funny to watch when it shouldn’t be, the king, the widow and Rick and the Eugene episode were boring and they didn’t advance the plot one bit then after that Carl dies? Like why? Did they think that would get more ratings? Dead or alive or and still gotta mean something were clearly filler and did nothing, there’s a lot of stuff from all out war they didn’t use and it affected the quality of the season by adding those episodes where literally nothing happens for 40 minutes, I loved this show but at that point you could easily tell the writers were dragging it out to make more money off it, they didn’t even need Oceanside or the garbage ppl by the end, that’s why I was screaming yes at the top of my lungs when Simon killed all of them, the Season finale felt rushed and somewhat improvised like the writers just wanted to go home and didn’t give a crap about the season they purposely ruined anymore, the whole thing feels underused and wasted in my opinion and it showed by the end of it
@@jamesdiamond533 I actually agree with most of this but with Carl it's mainly because Carl wasn't doing much to advance the story other than having a kind of dynamic with negan but it was also because Chandler Riggs didn't really enjoy the role he felt like he didn't give it his all so his character got killed off and now more than likely Judith will be replacing Carl's comic book ending

i felt that season 7 and 8 could be in one, or expand into 8, like 7, we meet the community’s, glen and abraham die, mid season finale-sasha dies, ending episodes, plotting to kill negan(DONT KILL CARL) but if they had to, make it a finale death, season 8, first half, battle episodes, Minor characters die and the mid season finale they defeat Negan, then the next half is the first half of season 9, Rebuilding and more character story arcs, then ends with Rick leaving. Hardly anyone hates on those seasons and the Whisperers. In fact, it would be refreshing to see that. It's annoying to me how many people hate seasons 7-8 (my favourite seasons) and claim Angela Kang "saved the show" with seasons 9-10. How often do you go on the internet??
IMO, TWD has had a select few episodes that truly stand out above the rest. 3x4, "Killer Within", Lori's Death and Judith's Birth. Even tho we all probably didn't quite like Lori, we knew she was good, and her death brought so much down on the group, especially Rick and Carl. There's a reason why many people love S3 the most (not my personal one, but it is up there), and much of that comes from this episode. 4x8, "Too Far Gone", The End of an Era. A lot of people talk about losing Hershel or the Governor getting cut down, but we lost the prison, too. One of the greatest locations in the show, left behind in rubble. 5x1, "No Sanctuary", Badassery at it's Finest. Carol's power moves, Rick's war tear, the whole group fighting for survival from the inside out. Everything was perfect. 6x9, "No Way Out", The Perfect Zombie Movie. Can you get what this one episode gave you from any other zombie show/movie/book? 7x1, "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be", the Hallmark of Torture for Entertainment. That lineup will forever be engrained into our memories as one of the most gruesome and brutal parts of any show, ever. 9x5, "What Comes After", Rick's Finale. The nostalgia alone brought to a good level, but the action and intensity lifted it up high above that. 9x15, "The Calm Before", altho 7x1 was the Hallmark of Torture for Entertainment, this one was the Cornerstone of Massacres. Maybe your picks for the pikes were different, but that shouldn't change the fact the Whisperers came into their camp and silently captured 10 individual persons and beheaded each one, for the sole reason to make a symbolic border for their territory.
honestly... S4 > S5 > S9 > S6 > S3 > S2 > S1 > S10 > S7 > S8 S7 & S8 are the only seasons I actively dislike, while the third half of S10 was pretty bad, the other halves are good, and the rest of the seasons are just straight bangers. even though S11 hasn't finished yet, so far I'd probably rank it between S1 & S10.

For Season 9 the first half started off really cool but gotten hokey around the 4th episode and got really stupid in the end of the fifth episode and that episode actually made me stop watching the show immediately. But during season 10 run i heard a lot of positive feedback from the midseason finale throughout the entire second half of season 9 that i have to go back to em and thanks to the second half it brought back my love for the show and thanks to that im able to go through the first half before they start airing the second half of 10 Season 10. Imo its not as good as the 9th one but i still think its a really good season. Im not big into the finale of that season but it still had some good shit here and there in the finale. Seasons 6-9A to me is like the dark ages for me. I really want to explain why in detail but i dont want to make this comment any longer than it needs to be, so i'll just save that for discussion here but please be respectful about it. Its just a tv show.
I think season 10 faltered because it had the full 16 episodes for whisperer war whearas season 9 the whisperers didn’t show up until like episode 6. that mandatory 16 episodes is what I believe is holding back twd in regards to budget. We needed that season 8 budget for the whisperer war LOL

To me, season 8 was the best season. Loved every episode and every moment. It’s between season 8 and season 6. I didn’t like season 9 as much. I didn’t really like the time jump and the new storylines. I think the show definitely went downhill after that.
@@user-td4oj7py8l it may be because the Savior storyline was stretched for two seasons (6x12-8x16) with a lot of filler. While there were episodes I skipped, I thoroughly enjoyed the Savior storyline. Season 8 was just 16 episodes of Rick being a badass, and I loved it. I do have to say they dragged out Carl’s death longer than it had to be. They spent every minute with him like it was his last, but it took him the entire episode to die.
12:42 whisperer hilltop battle was longer in the show compared to the comics and it was longer than the 4x8 and 6x9 battles , u can watch it at the same time to check , u said it was short because happened in 2 episodes
Whisperer hilltop battle was roughly 8 minutes. About 4 minutes of 10x11 about about 4 minutes of 10x12. Too Far Gone battle was 12 minutes but it also included multiple prior battles in season 3 within the Governor arc, whisperer arc did not. 6x9 wasn’t really a battle, it was just Walker action and lasted a decent amount throughout the whole episode, but I wouldn’t compare it the same way. But again this arc also lasted longer with more action.

Ezekiel - would set Carol down a similar dark path but would allow for future stories for Henry to emerge, Lydia would still feel responsible when seeing Henry's depressed reaction to his father's death. Would also make Henry live with some guilt Jesus - (I wouldn't have had him die in 9x8, save it for the pikes) but if we can ONLY choose ppl who were alive at the time, I would say Tara was an okay choice as long as they gave the death actual meaning, maybe had more development for her prior and showed the impact it had on others around her Alden - instead of Enid, we've known Enid for longer, cared about her more, she never got proper time to develop, this could've been her chance. And for the side characters, I'd pick ppl that would just be more impactful, off the top of my head, I'd say... - Kelly (should've had at least one person from that group go) - Only one of the teenagers, not two of them - Diane (a character ppl actually recognized) - Laura (would've been better than the lame death they gave her in 10x10) - Scott (man has been around for a while at Alexandria, most ppl would recognize him) Everyone else was fine tho, Tammy Rose was a good choice and the 2 Highwaymen guys plus DJ. No point of killing off that one Negan wife girl tho, no one really even remembered her

But that's why I would've loved to see development for him afterwards, killing him off as a dumb kid doesn't give his character much further purpose. And yeah but all of those characters could've still been developed well if it was Zeke instead

Yeah it’s much better on binge. It’s a decent season but it was just too long and some pretty awful episodes and the first episode was the only great episode the entire season for the first time in the entire show for a season. Finale was good. Pretty funny season. Negan was interesting
in my opinion season 9 is my favorite season because i can watch all the episodes and not want to skip any of them. season 5 and 10 are tied in 2nd place because there is only 1 episode i won’t watch again. season 5 is slabtown(5x4) and season 10(10x2)
THIS I agree, I don’t feel like I need to watch 10x2 again lol, but in my opinion, I think people who hate season 10 are the ones the love 8, they love non stop action while season 9 and 10 are more tame and rely on fear and character depth, season 5, the same thing it was tamed after a very powerful action packed season 4 and that’s why people don’t like it, but season 5 and 10 are never boring and keep me on the edge of my seat.
How can season 1 be ranked last? I don’t think it’s the best, but it’s definitely second or third for me. Season one was great! Even with only 6 episodes
First love ur videos I think season 10 is great maybe not the best I can’t just really until the rest of the episodes come out but I think it was war of paranoia. You said the Whisperers didn’t feel as threatening as they did in season 9 I would kinda of disagree because I think it wasn’t just the main characters being paranoid about the Hord coming to attack at any moment but the everyday people in the Community being scared and having city hall meeting on what to do with the Whisperers. But I do agree that the finale could’ve been handle a little bit better mainly like u said a real fight with Negan and Beta as well. But I think Negan made this season I also feel so did Daryl I mean he’s basically the leader now his development and potential love with Connie works well. All in I do season 10 is has good as the show been in years I do I think more people are invested and talking about the show again and that’s good as a big fan of the show.
I think each episode of season 10 had some type of tense too it and I think what they did was smart having 10A being a psychological war. And 10B being the actually straight up war like what we had in season 8 idk too me I think season 10 was very consistent as far good Quality episode and it feels refreshing. And it looks like 10C will have great episodes each episode looks like a mini movie but all in all I’d probably say season 10 is in my top 5.
Thank you! And yes on its own the war wasn’t like bad because yes it was primarily about the paranoia behind it. But when comparing it to the comics, the comics had MASSIVE battles with the horde that lasted a while, whisperers were killing tons of people left and right. It was huge, the show kinda shrunk it down to one battle at hilltop and the stuff at the hospital.
@@MovieFusion Yea I definitely get what your saying I feel like when Beta was in Alexandria I felt like Rosita should’ve died like I do feel like some of the side characters should’ve died. Like Father G didn’t get his comic death either so i definitely feel what ur saying I thought season I think it handled it well first half was kinda of slow but I think when the actual War started it was exciting like Daryl vs Alpha and I think Negan being able to Kill Alpha too was handled great too. I agree that Season 8 was most definitely the most hated season since like season 2 or 7 I thought season 8 is way better people gave it credit for at first I was kinda on the hate season 8 train than I rewatched recently and I don’t think was that bad. Some people say that the War took long and I don’t think so because yea we dealt with Negan for 2 seasons but it’s the same thing with the Whisperers for two seasons and the same thing with the Governor too. Well the Governor was killed in the first half of season 4 but I think Negan had a great erc as a villain and I think I love the personal rivalry with Negan and Rick. I think Rick’s rivalry with Negan was way more personal than he had with the Governor. With Rick and Negan I felt like there was kinda of a Mutual respect between them at the same time they where trying to kill each other as well.
I'd go Season 3 Season 1 Season 4 Season 2 Season 5 Season 6 Season 9 Season 8 Season 10 Season 7 In terms of most to least favorite. The Governor is my favorite villain and second favorite character in the show, which helps season 3 a lot. But I overall prefer the earlier seasons, if you hadn't noticed
Season 1 was great but was too short and characters were the worst they ever were season 2 I just absolutely loved the theme and location. Season 3 will never be topped, took the show to a new level. The point it became one of the best shows ever Season 4 first half was hit and miss but some parts were really good and I enjoyed the sickness. With governor had better episodes. The second half was how season 5 should have been the whole way. Awesome last 3 episodes, personally the best part of the show, terminus cliffhanger was soooo good. Season 5 got off to a phenomenal start, became stale as hell until episode 7 when they went to Atalanta. Great parts in the episodes like 7, 8,10 in the barn was brilliant with the storm but not particularly brilliant, just had a good feeling to it. 11 was so good and intense. Opening episodes for Alexandria were brilliant but last few let me down. Season 6 was the most consistent of the show and I loved the vibe. There were like 2 episodes that probly were the worser episodes of the show. Second half was just amazing. Season 7 was so slow and I wasn’t into the style that much, however it was still so intriguing with the sanctuary and Negan. There wasn’t 6 or 7 amazing episodes this season like there usually is every season but some episodes were great and they wrapped the season up perfectly. Negan was truly intimidating. Season 8 to this day deserves way more respect. Constant action and some phenomenal episodes but some problems were there like the ending wasn’t so great for such a huge buildup of 2 seasons. Show didn’t feel the same without Carl Season 9 first 5 episodes were so good with the new rick and Daryl felt so good. Ricks sendoff is one of the best ever. Show felt like it missed rick a lot but the new Alexandria and new style we’re great. Whisperers were so good and Beta was stunningly intense. Season 10 was decent but it’s my least favourite. It just felt like it was suffering from characters not being what they were in season 4-7 and what not. Whisperers were not as good imo and a huge letdown with the battles. However. Upside was the second half making up for the first. Negan and the whisperers connection was just amazing and the last few episodes was the best the show had been in a while. Ending episode was perfect with the herd feeling so scary. Bonus episodes were actually good but carols episode was woeful. I’ve watched the first episode of s11 and I’m enjoying it but it wasn’t out of this world

Full amount of actions, but extremely weak plot, messy, and the protagonist characters look like they have no plan to war with their enemy. No discussion scenes between their leaders about how are they going to fight their enemy. Plus that, the scenes are not arranged in chronological order, too many flash back scenes, total mess.

There were planning and discussion scenes so that criticism of there being none is just an incorrect statement. The plot was strong, I don't see how it's messy. Season 8 stuck to its themes harder than any season ever did, the theme of danger, loss and ultimately forgiveness and building the future. Carl's character and death glues all those things together which is why I love it

Very underrated season. It did have a few bad episodes, but was generally interesting and a big step up from seasons 6-7. It gets unfairly lumped in with 7 as being one of the worst by many people.

Most underrated season: 2 (hated by fans when it first aired, and still is hated to a degree. But I love that it's this slow burn view of a group of people not knowing how to cope and deal with the end of the world. Everybody is just so lost and stubborn and half-mad in this season and I think it's realistic in how it presents the character dynamics. Some find it too boring or insufferable. Not me.)

I'm not gonna lie I probably would've ranked 1 or 2 seasons differently but I'll admit I respect your opinion, ever season that you ranked you explained in the best way as possible and I understood your reasoning for every rank, season 8 honestly wasn't that bad because after watching it a couple of times I started to understand the message of the season as a whole and Scott Gimple did a good job, now I might've not have agreed with him killing Carl off but the way they did it in his final moments were done very well and it honestly made me cry

I don't agree on Season 7 being that low. 701 tops all of Season 3 4, and 716 was the most ambitious TWD finale yet at the time, it's bigger gun battle than 408.
I also love 702 705 708 709 710. Very beautiful season to me. The unique episode styles every week and soundtracks in 7 were on the highest level

For me, four, five, six, and nine will always be top-tier. I think seven makes eight look like a masterpiece so I ain’t mad at your 8 ranking 😊 I think minor mistakes were sadly made in the writing of 812 and 813 that kept them from being /really/ great episodes.
Glad you agree season four is underrated, I think it’s the best thematically, has the most underrated episode in 416 (plus fantastic flashbacks revealing ricks change of headspace in the time between 316 and 401), the greatest episode in 408 w the most well written most well acted dialogue in the entire series (ricks speech to the gov). Also some welcome mystery brewing in the latter half with the weird paintings (e.g. terminus Mary and the sunflowers). 412 and 413 are a down point: the former a bit cringe worthy, and the latter arguably with zero forward momentum. 414 yet another Gimple gem adapted in a fresh way from the comics. You can see how Scott had the whole season mapped out brilliantly, yet it still gets complaints.
Season five, so so great, I think 501-503 and 512-516 might be the most watchable of the show. I like 510 better than most. 505 is a shining star in the admitted problem section from 504 through 509.
I would argue 605 and 606 are equally weak points, but the rest of the season is absolutely tremendous, as good as 5. I liked the Glenn fake out (The “death” ruined me more any, n more than his actual death in 701, probably because I wasn’t expecting it and it shocked the crap out of me); but the length of time before the reveal ruined it (As did talking dead’s shenanigans, paparazzi/location stalkers revealing Yeun still on set, etc). Had they found a way to come back to the reveal sooner, it would’ve helped. All the momentum was gone.
And 6B is so good despite problems with the final two episodes. 609 is an absolute all-time top tier episode. 611 612 and 613 are all fantastic.
Some final words, I really liked the first five of season nine, and think the bitter taste that seasons seven and eight left in a lot of peoples miles caused them to feel the early season nine episodes were poor. (902 n 903 great stuff... 7.8 or 7.9 on IMDb? Ridic). You omitted your thoughts on the scars episode, would love to hear them. The episode was a little out there, but super effective, not too unrealistic, and I loved it.
Last comments: very hard for me to rank the first three seasons even though I watched them all at the date of their airing. Season one because it is so short and as you well argued, steaks just naturally felt less intense. Then, season two and season 3B were so wildly uneven, to put it kindly, compared to their respective halves. Night and day. Whether one liked or disliked Andrea through season two, how they wrote her in season three was utterly ridiculous. 204, 205... 311, 313, 314 (n disappointing finale showdown)- some of the worst the series had to offer.

I think Season 3 is very underrated and Season 4 is overrated. First 5 episodes and obviously 408 were amazing, but the 2 governor standalone episodes and the slow second half drops it down for me. I thought season 3 was awesome throughout especially with the whole Andrea dynamic and her trying to make peace. I think seasons 7 and 8 are incredibly overhated. They are my favourite seasons and it's tiring to always see people putting them at the bottom of their lists (not talking about you, just a lot of people in general).

Like why? Did they think that would get more ratings? Dead or alive or and still gotta mean something were clearly filler and did nothing, there’s a lot of stuff from all out war they didn’t use and it affected the quality of the season by adding those episodes where literally nothing happens for 40 minutes, I loved this show but at that point you could easily tell the writers were dragging it out to make more money off it, they didn’t even need Oceanside or the garbage ppl by the end, that’s why I was screaming yes at the top of my lungs when Simon killed all of them, the Season finale felt rushed and somewhat improvised like the writers just wanted to go home and didn’t give a crap about the season they purposely ruined anymore, the whole thing feels underused and wasted in my opinion and it showed by the end of it
@@jamesdiamond533 I actually agree with most of this but with Carl it's mainly because Carl wasn't doing much to advance the story other than having a kind of dynamic with negan but it was also because Chandler Riggs didn't really enjoy the role he felt like he didn't give it his all so his character got killed off and now more than likely Judith will be replacing Carl's comic book ending

Now before my ranking gets hate specifically for seasons 4 and 3's spots just know that I don't hate any season in this show every season above those two are just that much better to me
Why don't people like the whisperers, and seasons 9-10? They are all great.
Hardly anyone hates on those seasons and the Whisperers. In fact, it would be refreshing to see that. It's annoying to me how many people hate seasons 7-8 (my favourite seasons) and claim Angela Kang "saved the show" with seasons 9-10. How often do you go on the internet??

IMO, TWD has had a select few episodes that truly stand out above the rest.
3x4, "Killer Within", Lori's Death and Judith's Birth. Even tho we all probably didn't quite like Lori, we knew she was good, and her death brought so much down on the group, especially Rick and Carl. There's a reason why many people love S3 the most (not my personal one, but it is up there), and much of that comes from this episode.
4x8, "Too Far Gone", The End of an Era. A lot of people talk about losing Hershel or the Governor getting cut down, but we lost the prison, too. One of the greatest locations in the show, left behind in rubble.
5x1, "No Sanctuary", Badassery at it's Finest. Carol's power moves, Rick's war tear, the whole group fighting for survival from the inside out. Everything was perfect.
6x9, "No Way Out", The Perfect Zombie Movie. Can you get what this one episode gave you from any other zombie show/movie/book?
7x1, "The Day Will Come When You Won't Be", the Hallmark of Torture for Entertainment. That lineup will forever be engrained into our memories as one of the most gruesome and brutal parts of any show, ever.
9x5, "What Comes After", Rick's Finale. The nostalgia alone brought to a good level, but the action and intensity lifted it up high above that.
9x15, "The Calm Before", altho 7x1 was the Hallmark of Torture for Entertainment, this one was the Cornerstone of Massacres. Maybe your picks for the pikes were different, but that shouldn't change the fact the Whisperers came into their camp and silently captured 10 individual persons and beheaded each one, for the sole reason to make a symbolic border for their territory.

S7 & S8 are the only seasons I actively dislike, while the third half of S10 was pretty bad, the other halves are good, and the rest of the seasons are just straight bangers. even though S11 hasn't finished yet, so far I'd probably rank it between S1 & S10.

The top 5 ones are interchangeable meaning its gonna change a lot which is why im not gonna talk about those seasons but the rest are easy.
For Season 9 the first half started off really cool but gotten hokey around the 4th episode and got really stupid in the end of the fifth episode and that episode actually made me stop watching the show immediately. But during season 10 run i heard a lot of positive feedback from the midseason finale throughout the entire second half of season 9 that i have to go back to em and thanks to the second half it brought back my love for the show and thanks to that im able to go through the first half before they start airing the second half of 10
Season 10. Imo its not as good as the 9th one but i still think its a really good season. Im not big into the finale of that season but it still had some good shit here and there in the finale.
Seasons 6-9A to me is like the dark ages for me. I really want to explain why in detail but i dont want to make this comment any longer than it needs to be, so i'll just save that for discussion here but please be respectful about it. Its just a tv show.

I think season 10 faltered because it had the full 16 episodes for whisperer war whearas season 9 the whisperers didn’t show up until like episode 6. that mandatory 16 episodes is what I believe is holding back twd in regards to budget. We needed that season 8 budget for the whisperer war LOL

To me, season 8 was the best season. Loved every episode and every moment. It’s between season 8 and season 6. I didn’t like season 9 as much. I didn’t really like the time jump and the new storylines. I think the show definitely went downhill after that.

@@user-td4oj7py8l it may be because the Savior storyline was stretched for two seasons (6x12-8x16) with a lot of filler. While there were episodes I skipped, I thoroughly enjoyed the Savior storyline. Season 8 was just 16 episodes of Rick being a badass, and I loved it. I do have to say they dragged out Carl’s death longer than it had to be. They spent every minute with him like it was his last, but it took him the entire episode to die.
On of my favorite moments of TWD is when the whispers set like 10 heads on pikes. I was soo sad Enid was there

12:42 whisperer hilltop battle was longer in the show compared to the comics and it was longer than the 4x8 and 6x9 battles , u can watch it at the same time to check , u said it was short because happened in 2 episodes
Whisperer hilltop battle was roughly 8 minutes. About 4 minutes of 10x11 about about 4 minutes of 10x12.
Too Far Gone battle was 12 minutes but it also included multiple prior battles in season 3 within the Governor arc, whisperer arc did not.
6x9 wasn’t really a battle, it was just Walker action and lasted a decent amount throughout the whole episode, but I wouldn’t compare it the same way. But again this arc also lasted longer with more action.

Who would you choose for the pikes?
Ezekiel - would set Carol down a similar dark path but would allow for future stories for Henry to emerge, Lydia would still feel responsible when seeing Henry's depressed reaction to his father's death. Would also make Henry live with some guilt
Jesus - (I wouldn't have had him die in 9x8, save it for the pikes) but if we can ONLY choose ppl who were alive at the time, I would say Tara was an okay choice as long as they gave the death actual meaning, maybe had more development for her prior and showed the impact it had on others around her
Alden - instead of Enid, we've known Enid for longer, cared about her more, she never got proper time to develop, this could've been her chance.
And for the side characters, I'd pick ppl that would just be more impactful, off the top of my head, I'd say...
- Kelly (should've had at least one person from that group go)
- Only one of the teenagers, not two of them
- Diane (a character ppl actually recognized)
- Laura (would've been better than the lame death they gave her in 10x10)
- Scott (man has been around for a while at Alexandria, most ppl would recognize him)
Everyone else was fine tho, Tammy Rose was a good choice and the 2 Highwaymen guys plus DJ. No point of killing off that one Negan wife girl tho, no one really even remembered her

But that's why I would've loved to see development for him afterwards, killing him off as a dumb kid doesn't give his character much further purpose. And yeah but all of those characters could've still been developed well if it was Zeke instead

Yeah it’s much better on binge. It’s a decent season but it was just too long and some pretty awful episodes and the first episode was the only great episode the entire season for the first time in the entire show for a season. Finale was good. Pretty funny season. Negan was interesting
in my opinion season 9 is my favorite season because i can watch all the episodes and not want to skip any of them. season 5 and 10 are tied in 2nd place because there is only 1 episode i won’t watch again. season 5 is slabtown(5x4) and season 10(10x2)

THIS I agree, I don’t feel like I need to watch 10x2 again lol, but in my opinion, I think people who hate season 10 are the ones the love 8, they love non stop action while season 9 and 10 are more tame and rely on fear and character depth, season 5, the same thing it was tamed after a very powerful action packed season 4 and that’s why people don’t like it, but season 5 and 10 are never boring and keep me on the edge of my seat.

First love ur videos I think season 10 is great maybe not the best I can’t just really until the rest of the episodes come out but I think it was war of paranoia. You said the Whisperers didn’t feel as threatening as they did in season 9 I would kinda of disagree because I think it wasn’t just the main characters being paranoid about the Hord coming to attack at any moment but the everyday people in the Community being scared and having city hall meeting on what to do with the Whisperers. But I do agree that the finale could’ve been handle a little bit better mainly like u said a real fight with Negan and Beta as well. But I think Negan made this season I also feel so did Daryl I mean he’s basically the leader now his development and potential love with Connie works well. All in I do season 10 is has good as the show been in years I do I think more people are invested and talking about the show again and that’s good as a big fan of the show.
I think each episode of season 10 had some type of tense too it and I think what they did was smart having 10A being a psychological war. And 10B being the actually straight up war like what we had in season 8 idk too me I think season 10 was very consistent as far good Quality episode and it feels refreshing. And it looks like 10C will have great episodes each episode looks like a mini movie but all in all I’d probably say season 10 is in my top 5.
Thank you! And yes on its own the war wasn’t like bad because yes it was primarily about the paranoia behind it. But when comparing it to the comics, the comics had MASSIVE battles with the horde that lasted a while, whisperers were killing tons of people left and right. It was huge, the show kinda shrunk it down to one battle at hilltop and the stuff at the hospital.
@@MovieFusion Yea I definitely get what your saying I feel like when Beta was in Alexandria I felt like Rosita should’ve died like I do feel like some of the side characters should’ve died. Like Father G didn’t get his comic death either so i definitely feel what ur saying I thought season I think it handled it well first half was kinda of slow but I think when the actual War started it was exciting like Daryl vs Alpha and I think Negan being able to Kill Alpha too was handled great too.
I agree that Season 8 was most definitely the most hated season since like season 2 or 7 I thought season 8 is way better people gave it credit for at first I was kinda on the hate season 8 train than I rewatched recently and I don’t think was that bad. Some people say that the War took long and I don’t think so because yea we dealt with Negan for 2 seasons but it’s the same thing with the Whisperers for two seasons and the same thing with the Governor too. Well the Governor was killed in the first half of season 4 but I think Negan had a great erc as a villain and I think I love the personal rivalry with Negan and Rick. I think Rick’s rivalry with Negan was way more personal than he had with the Governor. With Rick and Negan I felt like there was kinda of a Mutual respect between them at the same time they where trying to kill each other as well.

In terms of most to least favorite. The Governor is my favorite villain and second favorite character in the show, which helps season 3 a lot. But I overall prefer the earlier seasons, if you hadn't noticed

Season 1 was great but was too short and characters were the worst they ever were
season 2 I just absolutely loved the theme and location.
Season 3 will never be topped, took the show to a new level. The point it became one of the best shows ever
Season 4 first half was hit and miss but some parts were really good and I enjoyed the sickness. With governor had better episodes. The second half was how season 5 should have been the whole way. Awesome last 3 episodes, personally the best part of the show, terminus cliffhanger was soooo good.
Season 5 got off to a phenomenal start, became stale as hell until episode 7 when they went to Atalanta. Great parts in the episodes like 7, 8,10 in the barn was brilliant with the storm but not particularly brilliant, just had a good feeling to it. 11 was so good and intense. Opening episodes for Alexandria were brilliant but last few let me down.
Season 6 was the most consistent of the show and I loved the vibe. There were like 2 episodes that probly were the worser episodes of the show. Second half was just amazing.
Season 7 was so slow and I wasn’t into the style that much, however it was still so intriguing with the sanctuary and Negan. There wasn’t 6 or 7 amazing episodes this season like there usually is every season but some episodes were great and they wrapped the season up perfectly. Negan was truly intimidating.
Season 8 to this day deserves way more respect. Constant action and some phenomenal episodes but some problems were there like the ending wasn’t so great for such a huge buildup of 2 seasons. Show didn’t feel the same without Carl
Season 9 first 5 episodes were so good with the new rick and Daryl felt so good. Ricks sendoff is one of the best ever. Show felt like it missed rick a lot but the new Alexandria and new style we’re great. Whisperers were so good and Beta was stunningly intense.
Season 10 was decent but it’s my least favourite. It just felt like it was suffering from characters not being what they were in season 4-7 and what not. Whisperers were not as good imo and a huge letdown with the battles. However. Upside was the second half making up for the first. Negan and the whisperers connection was just amazing and the last few episodes was the best the show had been in a while. Ending episode was perfect with the herd feeling so scary. Bonus episodes were actually good but carols episode was woeful.
