Compare this response to losing a playoffs game to the Chesterfield manager last week. Night and day. Well done to Ian and the players. We were dead and gone at one point and rallied superbly to hit the playoffs. Looking forward to next season!
As a Torquay fan, I wasn't confident going in to yesterday's game but thought we stuck to our game plan and are lucky to have the manager we have. If you keep your squad together, you will have a good chance next year and I wish you luck. If we don't play well next Sunday, we will meet again next season. It's a very tough league and it seems to become harder to get out of with each passing year. Peace.
The better team lost. We made it hard for ourselves not switching on at the start of both halves. We need one more quality striker and a box to box midfielder to get the job done properly and get automatic next season. Torquay proved if you put the ball in the box you have a chance of scoring. Would love to see short free kicks and corners banned by Burchnall and short goal kicks. We need a good start to the season let's get on top and stay there.
Would say the better team won but I just can't hopefully go up as champions next season with some fresh quality additions to push us forward need some clear out now to be able to progress
I haven't seen the game but on what I have heard and highlights of previous games we needed to get to keep Rodriguez slocombe wooton boldewtin for a start
Not saying you're wrong but how do you rate your performance in terms of playing your own football because I wasn't impressed by Torquay and thought you were fairly fortunate to go through.
@Alfie Pimm I didn't ask about that mate I asked what you made of your own performance on the day. But if we are going down that road then don't you think it's weird celebrating making it to the playoff final when you won the league in November?
Over the season, I guess a mark of B+ would be fair! The inability to beat lesser team, the loss of key players at key times and changing manager/ coach all were factors. NCFC have all the credentials to make a return next season all they need is a fair bit of luck, a good recruitment in the close season and to stick with their footballing ideals. COYP. 😎😎😎
I can understand the disappointment, but playoffs are always lottery, one off games, that hugely depend on decisions going your way. What's important now is keeping the forward momentum and making sure the club is in a better position than it started in last season. All you can do is keep improving to get out of this league. I hope the players stay on and we can get a few more strong players to cover positions.
Dignified and respectful response - well done. Best wishes to NC for next season.

The glorious super godlike pies will be back in the premier League in not too long.
I think you have had to much sun🤣
I can still remember Notts County in the old 1st Division playing derbies against Nottingham Forest. Martin O'Neil played for Notts.
I can see it happening in the next few centuries.

@@c.lgaming7512 well played and good luck for the final but the ref did win you the game there with an offside and a clearly wrong penalty.

Sacked ardley for more attractive and entertaining football
Unlucky notts better luck next time coyp⚪️⚫️⚪️⚫️
Referees need help from their assistants particularly with no var in these leagues.
