Thirty years ago I started standing next to the flag pole at school. I learned the Thai National Anthem in about 6 weeks. I still remember it better than my own nation. One time, my colleague was coming back into Thailand from abroad. He was from the Philippines. Immigration questioned him. He told him he was a music teacher and they doubted him. He started singing the Thai Anthem at immigration and they soon changed their tune. He had a voice.
As a parent, you need not worry too much. Kids are able to adapt to their environment fast. In most ASEAN countries, children go to school wearing uniforms. This is to instill discipline and eradicate social status. Btw, Mili looks beautiful after her haircut. She looks neater. Hope to go to Koh Lanta soon.
It is so nice that your kids have the basics. I'm not a Thailander but I want to give emphasis that your kids need the foundations in that, they have to know the rules and regulations, learning to have patience, how to shine or clean their shoes, have tidy clothes. My hair was like that also when I was in my grade school with a ribbon in it. They have to learn to obey also the rules and regulations, know the GRMC(Good Manners and Right Conduct), giving respect to parents, elder parents. I have met many Thailanders and they are happy, friendly respectful people. Thailand is a free country and not at war, also they are self reliant.
Mili looks so pretty with her hair cut!! I would be very nervous too!! I wouldn’t want to know that my child can be subjected to hitting. I think it’s nice though that they can experience their Thai culture. You both are great parents! I’m excited to see their journey and progression through school.
Relate much to this! My daughter’s first day in school, she was crying as I turned my back to cry too. It went on for at least a week. Enrolled her in a local Chinese school, yet her dad and I are not Chinese. Years passed and after her education - she speaks, read and write Chinese. Though she is no longer living in a Chinese country, she is comfortable making use of what she learned whenever she is around Chinese people and in Chinatowns, any country she goes. Yes, it is a privilege speaking, writing and reading another foreign language and learning about their culture too. Enjoy your parenthood!
Hello sweet family. My compliments..great video! As a mother I can understand the pros and cons from both parents sides about school system. It feels good for me that the kids start in normal Thai school..they have to learn thai language and about normal life ..Later they can switch to international schools if it fits. Your kids looking happy and healthy...I love the way how you all interact together. Love your house. Makes my heart warm to see the love flowing through your family. And now you receive love from me. Watching you as a german from Bali.
I am so moved with your family. I am a Filipina. And i love seeing your fam like that, and also the kids, as well as your husband so funny when he's with your kids 😁
I can see how torn one can become between cultures. For now I assume it’s best for the kids to visit Thai school. Later a more international school would round it up nicely. They should profit from both sides of their parents cultures. ❤️
Best Wishes for your children as they begin their education. I am proud of their father for saying this has to be. I know it has it be hard on their mother because of the cultural differences the living in Thailand I would be nervous too not knowing the expectations.
My niece and nephew, from a pure Thai family, started out in a very old traditional Thai kindergarden, where they stress various facts and practices of a normal good Buddhist and Buddhism as a religion. They learn to meditate, be humble, share and give. Then when it is time for their secondary high school, grade 5, their parents switched to a regular Thai one, Satit Prasarnmitr, where more academic essences are stressed. Now they are in their teen years and have been going to an international school. I do not know whether this is the right formula but I sincerely hope that they will become good and competent citizens of the world. Mind you, they are more fluent in Thai than English as both of their parents are nativebThais.
Lovely couple and adorable kids. I was born and raised in Thailand, and I can tell you all one thing, wearing student uniform has nothing to do with equality. It brings a burden and trouble to those who struggle with working from dawn to dusk just to get by.
That's true..Im in Sri Lanka eventhough one free uniform is given every year, poor people have to seperate their daily earnings on extra uniforms where we can't wear unless for school s .
In Thai school, I believe that they would teach kids, learn to respect people who came from different language, culture, religion etc. Living in peace, That why Thailand be full of SMILE :)
it's definitely difficult to be in a place where you can't speak their language. But I know they're going to adjust easily as long as people help them ❤️

Great video. As a mother myself, I understand how you feel about sending your kids to school. We lived on an island and I had my concerns about the schools. We tried the public school for a while then I ended up home schooling the kids. I often wonder how things would've been different. Your kids look happy. I'm happy for them, and you and your husband.

Their kids will benefit more learning Thai language and maybe their mother could teach them Dutch and or Israel language too. My lil nephew is speaking 3 languages so far besides English as an international language, he speaks Mandarin (Mainland China), German and French while Bahasa Indonesia is a household bahasa since our maids are all Indonesians. Manu and Mili are brilliant kids, awesome parents they have👍👍🌹😁

When I was young I always wanted to learn Thai more than my own country's languages ( I speak Tai but in school they teach Burmese mean while I had to take Chinese Classes). Funny things was I wasn't really good at and understood any languages I took from classes but I could understand and speak Thai very well for my own standard ( I just learn Thai via Dramas cartoons and Songs😅.) I think yr Kids will soon get used to Thai school and they're going to love it .🇲🇲🇹🇭

Thanks so much! This one took a while to make because took videos over time. I'm so glad you enjoyed it
I can see how torn one can become between cultures. For now I assume it’s best for the kids to visit Thai school. Later a more international school would round it up nicely. They should profit from both sides of their parents cultures. ❤️
😍😍😍
Best Wishes for your children as they begin their education. I am proud of their father for saying this has to be. I know it has it be hard on their mother because of the cultural differences the living in Thailand I would be nervous too not knowing the expectations.
Absolutely. It's a good learning experience for me too😅😅😅
My niece and nephew, from a pure Thai family, started out in a very old traditional Thai kindergarden, where they stress various facts and practices of a normal good Buddhist and Buddhism as a religion.
Mind you, they are more fluent in Thai than English as both of their parents are nativebThais.
lovely to see the children are given good values, love and affection from both of you. Simple life happy life to your family.. keep posting..

Lovely couple and adorable kids.
I was born and raised in Thailand, and I can tell you all one thing, wearing student uniform has nothing to do with equality. It brings a burden and trouble to those who struggle with working from dawn to dusk just to get by.
I can imagine😓
That's true..Im in Sri Lanka eventhough one free uniform is given every year, poor people have to seperate their daily earnings on extra uniforms where we can't wear unless for school s .
Happy for the kids and happy for this kind of family !!!

We will try it for a year for now and then we'll see. Which island were you living before?
New subscriber from Philippines.. i m not a mother but i can feel it esp the language barrier but time will come they will be adjusted kids are really fast learner
Mom your thinking is very beautiful and your thai husband are look so happy when he with you

Your kids are multinational and multicultural ....so amazing...just like you Mom....you are Israeli Dutch English speaking with Thai husband living in Thai culture..they will grow up with the best of these worlds..👍🏼🌹
❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍
Cute kids! I hope they both and you both grow up healthy and happy! Let them enjoy their childhood and let them do what they want and surely they will keep each of the memories forever. Cute smiles too!!
Manu and Mili are brilliant kids, awesome parents they have👍👍🌹😁
I KIKE HIW YOU SAY “ your maids” you obviously never Gad money and obviously you didn’t grow up in a family with money that’s why you call your house assistants MAIDS.
People with comments like yours make me vomit.
Absolutely adorable children.
great parents…super cute kids 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
When I was young I always wanted to learn Thai more than my own country's languages ( I speak Tai but in school they teach Burmese mean while I had to take Chinese Classes). Funny things was I wasn't really good at and understood any languages I took from classes but I could understand and speak Thai very well for my own standard ( I just learn Thai via Dramas cartoons and Songs😅.)
I think yr Kids will soon get used to Thai school and they're going to love it .🇲🇲🇹🇭
Mingalabah shin! I lived In Myanmar for a few years and I learnt some Burmese, even some reading and writing which I forgot haha... Love ❤️ this beautiful language.
@@SweetLifeLanta Never knew you live here before .When Situation are more safe please visit our country again na kha .And Mingalarpa Shin 🙏
Stay Safe ❤️
@@tonghsengsom oh yes I miss Myanmar. So sad that it's not safe anymore.
