At 4 mins 20 seconds, they guy in the tweed jacket and kilt, is my dad. I was on this sail (aged 11) and still have the slides he took that day, including my visit to the bridge.

Great to see the Waverley sailing in 1971 & still sailing in 2022 just shows what a great steam boat she is, may she keep sailing for many years to come & proudly sail the waters of the river Clyde ( keep the flag flying high.)

Surprised to see the square sponson portholes (as built). When we’re they replaced with the more traditional round portholes?
about 1977, that sort of time. was for the first trip to the thames. it was a compliance thing re port of london.
