I did it so much as a child my mom always knew I would go to customer service & she'd hear her name over the load speaker. I just didn't care as a child. My husband snatched our 10 year old son 1 time while We were walking past him & it was the worst feeling ever. My husband never tried it again.
Lol my mom lost me at six flags one time she was crying and told a security guard she couldn't find d her baby I'm sure he thought she was crazy when she told hi. I was 26
Excellent. I remember loosing my daughter in M&S and was about to start screaming and then I heard laughing, she was hiding in the middle of a clothes rail. 🤣
Angela Briggs My son used to do this too, hiding under the clothes on the rails. Had to just wait at the entrance/exit doors for him. Eventually he would appear!! Still frightening though!
That's where my daughter was hiding too when I lost her! I was screaming/calling out her name; terrifying moments!!!!! It could happen to anyone in the blink of an eye!
Mark, that was so thoughtful and sweet of you to do for your wife. The panic and terror that hits a parent when a small child runs off is petrifying and emotionally breaking. That was beautiful. Thanks for sharing you two. Beautiful
Loves this. I don’t think I’ve met a mom that hasn’t went through the heart attack moment of when you turn around and your child isn’t there! Mean while they are hiding to play. ❤️
Mark is such an amazing husband and father. The way he can go from a complete joker to a concerned and comforting partner is so wholesome. Thanks for always showing the raw moments as well as the funny.
Stephanie Padilla My daughter did that behind the cart carousel at a store. It was a short wall that was about 6 inches off the ground. I had all the employees helping me look. But finally when the manager went to lock the door she saw my daughter’s pink shoe. I was so upset and angry she hid from me. But happy she was safe found and well rested. I looked for almost 2 housv
I thought that but hey the balloons provided more entertainment me thinks! And can be spotted a mile off...until someone nabs the balloons. Mark might have started a new craze.
Never thought of that!! I’ve lost my daughter twice in Sainsbury’s when she was 3 & 4 years old back in 2006/07!!! I was so scared but thankfully the Sainsbury’s staff & security immediately stood at both entrance and exits until she was found and back with me!! X
So glad all is okay with Phoenix. My heart dropped for a second. Mark you are a genius♥️♥️♥️👍🏼 the relationship between you two is just so wonderful ♥️So lovely to watch
You are honestly one of the most amazing mothers I've never met.... Please don't cry sweet lady. I literally can't get enough of you guys Mark so you make me believe in true love
this guy is an absolute legend both have got to be the parents of the century if I get anywhere near to how good of parents yous two are then I'll be happy
Well done for handling this so well. I think I can speak for every parent when I say we have all had this happen. Mark is a genius. SAUSAGE ROLLS 4 LIFE !!
I know I am months late but this is literally the cutest thing ever. Poor Rox at the start. Good on you Daddy looking out for all your family and their needs
Aww blesss it happens to the best of us huni..your an amazing mum and dad..kids are fast and very curious. I'm grateful your all ok. Wishing you all love and light 🙏❤️🙏💚🙏💚..
It broke my heart rox crying but it also warmed my heart seeing how much she cares for her kids. There are some people who aren't doing what they should be doing, and there will always be a difference between accidents and being irresponsible, or just being too busy with themselves or their relationships. You're amazing rox! Thank you for being a good roll model to all parents out there!
Mark’s idea is brilliant, moms around the world will be doing this! I wish I had this idea when my children were little, my son hid for 10 minutes in a store and they had a lockdown on the store when I had started screaming for him. Scariest day of my life!!! All children do it, don’t cry!!!
Aweee this is the BEST. Poor Rox 💔 Way to go Mark on comforting your wife. Being a great Dad & husband & Rox..Great Mom. When are the best parents of 2020 coming up so I can vote??
Rox-the same thing happened to me last year and I nearly lost my mind! I cried too, it was so scary! Mark’s solution is brilliant! What a clever idea! Haha
You still need to worry about them running off because strangers can grab them cut the balloon and run with your child. You should still teach your children to stay with you but if they do wander this will definitely help you find them. This is also a good time to teach them stranger danger because my daughter was kidnapped out of her home when she was 7 and the fact we had talked about stranger danger is what saved her life. Strangers are not creepy old smelly men they can look like a mom and dad
Kids running off or hiding, is way more likely than a stranger taking them, thankfully. And, a stranger is way less likely to take a kid if they've got a helium balloon attached to their belt - b/c if the balloon floats in the air, mum/dad instantly sees it.... I can't imagine how stressful your situation must have been though - so educating kids re stranger danger comes first - but we should all applaud ANY creative ideas (like balloons) that might help parents from going through what you did, either at home or out in a public place...
When I was little, I swear my Mother was genuinely trying to lose me, whenever we went shopping. It got to the point where I wasn't even upset, I just waited by the shop entrance a while, and then left, and would casually go up to the Security Guards in shopping centres, and announce "My Mummy's run away again!". It's funny how she'd always manage to have completed ALL the shopping, by the time she came to the Security Office, while claiming that she'd been searching all over for me! Hmmm! :\ Lol
OMG, You are so smart and sweet Mark. My son runs off all the time. Once he bolted out of the grocery store doors into the middle of the parking lot. I freaked out and cried for ever after it happened.
Rox you have the most supportive husband I could only imagine. Turned something that was very scary to you at the time and turned it into something that made you smile 😊❤️
If this catches on, there’s going to be a whole alphabet floating around a shop 🤣
Isla Pops 😂😂

kelly friend been there and done that. I looked like such a fool going through the woman’s dept screaming my child’s name.
I'm so impressed and moved by how calm and patient Mark talks to Phoenix. He is so understanding that the boy wants to play. A really incredible dad.
I love how he's so calm and talks to his son so gently and explains to him so well. I couldn't do it if I were a mum I'd be freaking out.
My mum still shouts my name in a panic when she loses me in a store and I'm almost 19 haha ♡
