- Somatic evolution through the lens of single-cell multi-omics

Why Attend this Seminar?
Somatic cells in our body undergo an evolutionary process throughout our lives; through mutagenesis and clonal selection. This phenomenon is ubiquitous in normal tissues with aging, associated with various disease states, and in its extreme form leads to malignancy - a runaway evolutionary process. In this seminar, we will review array of technologies developed to map somatic genotypes to a variety of phenotypes through single cell multi-omics, as well as chart the evolutionary dynamics of clonal outgrowths.
