Chinese Diesel Heater Install in the Enclosed Trailer

I've been working on this 6X12 single axle enclosed trailer for a bit and decided to install some heat. I bought the 5Kw version on Ebay and it works great so far!

I thought about putting some holes in the floor for fishing, but I want to get a window and some insulation installed first so I can spend the night in there after a few beers!

Does your fuel pump click while running? I've heard some that make a pretty loud clicking noise but it didn't sound like yours was. Nice install, looking to do this on my 7X16

It does click, but when the heater is on high it is less noticeable with the fan and burner noise. When first starting up and on lower settings it clicks loudly!

Thanks for making this and sharing your work. For the air intake, will you leave it as is or try to run a pipe for outside air?

It has an air intake and exhaust for the burn chamber already routed through the floor, then just recirculates the air in the room over/around the chamber. Works great so far, no changes planned!

Is the battery for starting only?
Or does the heater use it for fan operation also?

The fan and the fuel pump need 12v to operate.
