Hey Nice, WOW I cannot thank you enough for this awesome contribution to my channel. I can honestly tell you this goes towards the running of my channel. I spend around £200 a year alone on subscriptions to editing Software, a music website and a photo editing suite. Not to mention the money I spend on kit, the drone alone cost me over £1,000. But I love investing in my channel and trying to make it better and trying to make it different. These contributions from my kind hearted viewers really help, so thank you good sir from the Duke

Great video mate, was due to watching a video of yours last year that prompted me to get on Facebook and order myself an amazing MDT spade. Best bit of detecting kit I’ve had. Take care mate and all the best from Somerset
Hi mate, great to hear from you and it is awesome to know that my channel helped inspire you to invest in a Noble MDT. I would never use/support a product on my channel that I do not love and standby myself. I did a lot of research about spades, when I stumbled across little old Carl's Noble MDT spade on Ebay a couple of year's ago, it was love at first sight. I got in touch with Carl and discussed the proposition of using his product on my channel. He gave me a good deal on my first spade and since then he has generously donated a couple more, 1 of which I will be giving away very soon to celebrate hitting 10,000 subscribers. Thanks as always for coming along and I hope to see you on my next episode. G

Hi Andrew, thank you as always for your such kind words, I really do appreciate it. I'm sure you are aware, but I don't just love metal detecting. I also love being out in the great British outdoors and I enjoy spending time capturing and filming my metal detecting adventures. I also really enjoy sitting down on my laptop and spending time on cutting & editing these videos (or projects as I call them). My channel goal has always to been to be unique, have my own style and to create videos that I would watch myself. In life I have finally found something I am passionate about and with potential of earning a good wage from in the future. I see lots of channels giving up, but I am here to stay and I have so much planned for the future :)

Hi mate , well apart from a few spot's of rain it looked quite a nice day a few decent coins popping up and plenty of lead no surprise really for that area , as for stainless steel spades it's one of the best investments for a metal detector not cheap but worth every penny in the long run , lovely footage and another good watch pal ATB Rob 👍
Hi Rob, great to hear from you and wise words there, I used to swear upon them tiny £10 spades from B&Q, after snapping 3 and having a never ending bad back, I took the plunge to invest in a stainless steel spade and have never looked back. I am very proud to represent this brand as it's a product I love and believe in. And hey I have just seen you have uploaded a new video and looks like one of you has joined the gold FOB seal crew, I hope it is you mate!!!

Hi there, thanks very much for visiting my channel and taking time out your day to watch this video - much appreciated. I spoke to Carl about this the other day, he said he is taking a break from his spade business. He was getting so many orders and spending so much time in his workshop making them. He did say he will be resuming business soon though
Great spade. I got one based on one of the other videos that you mentioned them in. He has some more stuff in development being released this year too.... Cheers 🍾
Hi mate, thanks for the channel visit, taking time out your day to watch this video and leave me a comment. I've been using this brand of spades for over 2 years now, they are a cut above, in a league of their own and look great
Spade looks great. I've got an evaluation se spade, that's really good. Must admit yours looks a lot better, and about the same price. Shame you didn't find too many good finds. Your B roll looks amazing. Such a stunning place . Thanks for sharing it with us 😀
Hi mate, yeah I looked at the Evolution spades, but they looked a lot bigger and heavier. I looked at a couple of other brands too, but when I stumbled across one of these Noble MDT spades on Ebay, I knew immediately this was the spade for me. I am quite a shallow person and 'looks' is always high up on my attribute list when am buying something. I got in touch with Carl to declare my love for his product, 2 years later we are good friends, metal detect together now and then and I absolutely love representing his brand and using these spades. Well when you can't make any finds, I have to rely on making great B-roll haha. Thanks as always for turning up
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire They do look like great spades.. and buying something made in the u.k is always nice. The only downside I can see is the cold handle on those frosty mornings.. especially as you never seem to wear gloves.. The evolution spade does still fit onto my xp backpack, so easy carrying and once I'm detecting I never feel the weight of the spade. Too engrossed in detecting lol.. When mine breaks I will go over to his website and have a look 😀👍
@@danielt879 haha yeah there was 1 occassion I was out in snowy rain and wind, my hands were colder than I've ever felt before and I couldnt't touch the spade with any of my skin 🤣🤣🤣 Having the right kit ie a waterproof pair of gloves would alleviate that
Nice one bud...some days are a little light on finds like we all know in this hobby...but the main thing is getting out in the wild and fresh air. All the best for your future hunts and HH.
Hi mate, great to hear from you, definitely slim pickins on this one, once it gets in your mind though, you can't get rid of it and the day will not improve. Sometimes if I think about finding a silver coin, then it goes n happens almost right away. It's a very strange hobby sometimes!! And yes, for me, being out there and being able to make a TH-cam film is more than enough for me. I have a stressful job and I need to get out in the countryside at least once a weekend is some form or other. Thanks as always for coming along, taking time out of your day to watch and for leaving me a comment. G
Hi Dave, it definitely was a very less than average day for finds, but as you mentioned, this one was all about promoting this fantastic product and I hope I did an honest review as I have been using one of these spades for 2 years. Thanks as always for tuning in, catch you on the next one. G
Good to see you out in those beautiful hills Gareth! It's really great areas! I would'nt expect it to be so full of lead scrap 😯. It looks so clean! I would really like if you once a while made some comparisons between different programs on the same target, like today. Maybe with comparing the tones. We learn a lot from that! Always great to see you!🙏 Very important with a really good and strong spade! 👍👍 🙏🇸🇪🙂
Hi mate, thanks as always for coming along and watching what I've been up to on this wonderful hillside. I always proclaim that Derbyshire is the lead capital of the world, every field I've ever set foot in is loaded with tonnes and tonnes of lead. I've got bucket loads of the stuff at home in my garage, which I will take to the scrapyard one day soon. If ever I get a dodgey signal or a really rally deep signal, I more often than not do a comparison using Sensi FT, Deep HD and Relic. I'm pretty sure I have done this many times in recent months as I created Text templates in my editing Suite for the 3 programs so I can quickly add them to the timeframe. But I will bare it in mind and try to do this a bit more often. Thanks as always for sticking with the channel, it is my goal to help people learn as I learn. G
Hey there Rich, yes definitely mate, although I will take a modern penny, as they all add up and can be spent or taken to the bank. I am due a trip to the bank to cash in all my change and 'brown pounds'. Thanks as always for tuning in. G
I’ve just bought one of the minelab spades after snapping an evolution I’ve had for three years, should’ve gone for the noble as the minelabs already gone through my sole on the boots😐 great video as always 😊
Hi there, thanks very much for visiting my channel today and for taking time out your day to watch this video. I didn't know Minelab did spades. I spent for first 5 or 6 years of my metal detecting career using them cheap mini spades, I broke 3 and seemed to have a never ending bad back. Having done extensive research into stainless steel spades, I stumbled across one of these Noble MDT spades on Ebay. As soon as I saw it I knew it was the spade for me. I got in touch with Carl, he saw my passion for his product, gave me a great deal and we became good friends and have metal detected together many times. See how long your Minelab one lasts, then when you are in the market for your next one, get in touch with Carl, they are great spades. Thanks again for coming along, I hope to see you on my channel again. Have a great weekend. Gareth
investing in a good shovel is worth every penny if you ask me . personally using a Evolution all stainless straight blade shovel , and a predator tools Hornet curved blade shovel . straight edge i find alot better if im digging in the forest were there is roots and rocks . curved and a bit larger shovel for pasture and plowed fields for perfect plugs and moving dirt better.
Hello there, thanks very much for visiting my channel this week and watching this video. I totally agree, can't put a price on a good spade that will last you. Same as anything in life, buy cheap, buy again in 6 months, 12 months etc. I have 2 of these Noble MDT spades as Carl kindly gave me one free of charge. He has also kindly donated one for me to give away soon to celebrate hitting 10,000 subscribers
Hi mate absolutely loving your videos, just working my way through them, I've just started metal detecting and loving it so far thanks to your videos, where can I purchase these spades? I can't find them on Ebay or Google for sale?

Hope this helps, and hope to see you on my channel again. Gareth
Hi mate, haha oh yeahhhhh, do you know how much stick I got for retiring the hat throws? You won't see it every week, but you will see it again more often. One day my cap will land on my drone and capture it on video, that's the plan haha
Hey Gareth, some great content again and nice finds. The square lead thing could be an old ( I think they're called brads) for holding roofing felt onto shed roofs. My grandfather had them on his shed, albeit they were round but I'm sure I have seen square ones too. Btw. What's it like being a muffin magnet and having a bunch of heifers after you?😱😱🤣🤣👍👍
Hi there Steve, thanks very much for watching this video and seeing what I've been up to with my new Noble MDT spade. Thanks also for the input on the unknown square lead piece. Hi there, thanks for visiting my channel and watching. I'll pass on your feedback. I think Carl trialled a curved one, not sure what the outcome was. I'm not very tall so this spade is perfect for me
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire if they do one with the curve, I would get one, I've got 5 blown dics in my back, and I've been using a BQ spade with the curve and it saves my back big time ,only problem with the BQ one is its mild steel and I have to keep sharpening it .also had to hang up my CTX and use the 800 as it lightweight, 👍
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire sorry m8 I am a minelab fan ,found us the Roman licking dog hoard ,gold sovereign hoard, hammy hoard and 2 Roman coffins, I can't let go now🤣👍

@@danielt879 haha yeah there was 1 occassion I was out in snowy rain and wind, my hands were colder than I've ever felt before and I couldnt't touch the spade with any of my skin 🤣🤣🤣 Having the right kit ie a waterproof pair of gloves would alleviate that
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire haha. Yes. I always wear gloves anyway but I bet that spade still gets cold. .
Mean looking spade though..😀
Run of the mill day but a good advert for the Noble spade.Funny thing the penny is the same age as me.
Always great to see you!🙏
Very important with a really good and strong spade! 👍👍
🙏🇸🇪🙂
Ah, better to find an old penny than a modern one. Very nice spade too.
Hi there, love this comment! Always appreciate new people coming along to my channel. The spades are awesome, made by a guy called Carl, his company is called Noble MDT, he has a page on Facebook and Instagram, you can message him on there. Hope this helps, and hope to see you on my channel again. Gareth
Back at throwing hats 😀
Haha muffin magnet, anytime I go metal detecting and there's cows, they ALWAYS come over and start giving me aggro haha. Thanks again, and I hope to see you on my next episode. G
Is there a comparable one in the US, having trouble finding a site that will sell this shovel to me in the US.
Hi there, thanks very much for visiting my channel and for taking time out your day to watch this video. I am not based in America, so not sure, but I am sure there would be. Seems to be lots of different spade manufacturers out there
I like the Phoenix shovel by Predator Tools!
Hey Bill, thanks so much for the channel visit and for taking time out your day to watch this video. Predator tools make some awesome equipment. I've been using the same Noble MDT spade now for about 4 years, it is indestructible. I hope to see you again on some of my 300 other metal detecting videos. Gareth
👍👍
Hi there Jillian, thanks very much for tuning in and watching another of my videos. Hope you are doing well and I look forward to seeing you on my next metal detecting adventure :)
Looks good spade Gareth sadly out of my price range all the best
Hi Bobby, they are really good spades and pay for themselves over time. A wise investment for any detectorist
Hard slog. Glad you found a few gooduns
Hello there, thanks very much for visiting my channel, for watching this video and leaving me a comment. I really appreciate you coming along and for the support. Hope to see you on my next episode. Gareth
what happened to the old one.....didnt it last? ;-)
🤣🤣 Nothing happened to the old one, Carl insisted I used one of his brand new ones. So now I've got 2
damn just ordered a evolution !!
Hi Anthony, thanks very much for coming along to my channel and watching this video. I've never used an Evolution spade so cannot comment, but I know they are quite popular. These Noble MDT spades though are awesome, I can vouch on that. Thanks again, hope to see you on some of my 300 other metal detecting videos. Gareth
It needs a curved shaft ,save bending, and doing your back in
Hi there, thanks for visiting my channel and watching.
@@crazycressy7986 you should consider an XP ORX with a 9 inch coil, that thing weighs absolutely nothing and feels like ya swingin fresh air
@TheDukesOfDerbyshire sorry m8 I am a minelab fan ,found us the Roman licking dog hoard ,gold sovereign hoard, hammy hoard and 2 Roman coffins, I can't let go now🤣👍
Nice spade but too short for me!!!😉
Haha I'm sure our Carl would make you a custom one as long as required
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire ahh interesting!!!
Bracken huh? We call them ferns and grow them in our gardens in the shade.
Hi there, great to hear from you, thanks for watching my latest adventure (although I just uploaded a new one). Bracken is a genus of large, coarse ferns in the family Dennstaedtiaceae - Google told me this. I think bracken and fern are basically the same thing. In fact I have some in my back garden too :)
Naisss 😊 👍 lm laik scop 😅,
Hello & Greetings, thank you so much for checking out another of my metal detecting videos. Thanks for the support and for leaving me a comment. I hope to see you on my next episode :)
not on eBay any more.
Hi, ah OK, I didn't know that. He has a page on Facebook and a page on Instagram and can be contacted using these methods. Greta spades. Thanks for watching
