We would always go there on our annual Fall golf trip.. great breakfasts and you knew it was going to be a great day as you ate your breakfast and watch the sun rise over the Atlantic.. something that I will always remember. I hope they have many more years of serving the people and visitors to Myrtle Beach
We ate there last Thursday, and it was great as always. Fascinating history, thanks for that background information... another in the long line of Mr. Myrtle A+ videos.
Dang, I stayed at the Caribbean Resort right next door to this place last summer but never made it over, to eat there......that changes this summer when I come back!
Ate at Sea Captain's House for the first time in the mid-70s as a young boy. Still go there every year with my wife. Definitely a tradition for me when I visit Myrtle Beach. The food and service is always outstanding...a little pricey but worth every penny!!!
First went there 30 years ago. No bar but just to the left of the entrance ws a small closet like room that would serve drinks from the airline size botles which were the legal drinks at that time. Nice waiting area with couches until a table opened up. Many upgrades since then but the food has always been first rate. 5 stars.
@@MrMyrtle That window you asked about is to that room where they made and served drinks before the bar was built. Probably to serve the people waiting outside.
It’s been years since I ate there, but I remember it fondly! I think one of the owners also owned the Chesterfield Inn that was torn down, which was depressing because they put a mini golf in it’s place totally absurd. The Chesterfield Inn was once on the historic registry. Glad this restaurant has survived!

She crab soup needs to be scooped from the bottom.don't skim from the top.. .what's with the servers attitudes.. You're a wonderful old place.. Looks like maybe your new expansion and the people working in the new environment are making you common.. Good luck.. can have my favorite she crab other places .
My ex wife dragged me there. Talked it up. I should have been more cognizant of what to expect because she thought outback was a terrific place for steak 🤢
Me and my family usally stay at the Carribean (Resort on the right) But Ive never ate there. Looks really good! Thanks Mr. Myrtle!

Truly one of the last places that still remind you of old myrtle beach, a must visit if you've never been.
Loved hearing the history!!!
Love the sea captain’s house! One of the few remaining reminders of old MB.
Awesome 😀 My Grandparent's alway's ate there when at the beach. From the 1960's to the 2000's .

Your videos are always so informative, great job ! I see this place advertised in all the travel brochures so it must be good !
Thank you!! You should give it a try. I need to go for dinner sometime.
Cool 😀
God, I am so homesick. Whenever I am fortunate enough to visit, this is the place that truly reminds me of home on the beach.
My hotel is about three down from this place! Not down there now, but went there many times before! 👍
Aaah yes...my mother wants to go there 😀 I've never actually tried it !
You should take her, it's nice atmosphere, especially this time of year.

Chicago always made a good omlet.Solid breakfast buffett!
I got the mixed seafood stew and took what i didn't eat back to the hotel. Then crushed the leftovers while hammered on my balcony at 1 a.m. 🤣
They have the best shrimp and grits within 150 miles.

We'll be dining at the SCH in less than two weeks! Dining there is as traditional for us as buying fireworks at the beach!
