That adorable bottle of Aqua Essenziale.... And no jokes, I actually preferred the scent to BDC before the edp came out. As far as LDPH Intense, it has a bizarre cacophony of notes in the opening but I get a nice spiced-and-honeyed yuzu in the drydown. So much more interesting than most freshies nowadays and super cheap up here in Canada.

Michael Kors For Men , just bought in London, probably paid a bit more than I would have liked for a 40ml bottle but glad I did as this 2014 release is difficult to come by. So wearable and warm , beautiful tiny bottle. Thanks for your excellent clear review as I was able to pick up exactly the right bottle.

Great video! Have considered the Azzaro Chrome Aqua because I wore Chrome years ago, but have hesitated between that one and Azzaro Chrome Extreme, which seems to have higher reviews. Waiting to smell them before blind buying. In the mean time I might just buy the original Chrome :P

I'm still gonna call them colognes! LOL Currently I'm working on completing my collection of Bentley fragrances. I just need the new Cashmere and Musk "private line" fragrances. Ashton I would love to know what you think of the line as a whole and review it. Everyone talks about Bentley Man Intense and rightly so, but you don't hear a lot about the rest of the fragrances. It would be cool to hear your thoughts.

Too many people sleep on original Bvlgari Man - this remains in my Top5 in warm weather every year - still amazes me. Not with its performance, but it's another Morillas beauty.

I've always recommended chrome and its flankers to guys just getting into fragrances. Honestly can't go wrong with any of them but Aqua, Extreme and the new EDP are amazing.
Yes! Issey Miyake Intense is the best. I always return to it even after building a large collection.
Interesting, I bought it as a blind buy. Got it, and smelled it. I could not stand it. I really wanted to like it, but just couldnt..Giving it to a coworker. I like original better.

Chrome Aqua is a amazing and last about 8 hours on me. I get mostly the vetiver note off my skin and I love it
I have been enjoying the cheap niche stuff recently. Caron, Mancera etc. I got this one a couple weeks ago mancera aoud violet... no love but man is it delicious.
I would also recommend the guess pour homme line, around $25 for a 100ml bottle. They all smell fantastic and decently high quality

l'eau d'issey intense is certainly underrated, such a gorgeous fragrance
It is a nice fragrance and it has depth but it is not a compliment getter for me and the feedback i get isnt always positive

Nelson J same. I returned it after testing it out. Incense is waaay too heavy for me. If it had a little sweetness, it would’ve been better
I just got it today along with xerjoff nio stronger with you freeze and aqua di gio profumo. The issey miyaki is my favorite... It feels weird even typing that.
I bought Leau D'issey Intense as a blind buy when I was starting with fragrances and hated it. Tried it again, months later when my nose was more refined and loved it.
I had it and did not like… time passed and I never wear it so I sold it
Yeah, I ended up selling mine too. It was fine, but there are too many better fragrances out there.

Love Legend Spirit! Really thinking of taking the plunge on Chrome Aqua, very affordable here in the UK.

Cologne is description of the concentration of oils inside the fragrance and it means the lowest concentration of oils. Perfume means highest concentration of oils in the fragrance. It’s wrong saying cologne if the concentration is Eau de parfum or pure parfum. Term cologne comes from a toilet water with a strong, characteristic scent, originally made in Cologne, Germany. That being said it’s very wrong using term cologne for all men’s fragrances. It’s a mistake usually done by American people, but we can learn the right way and correct that.

I call them cologne whenever I am with people who may not know as much about fragrances. With my fragheads I say fragrance, EDP, or EDT accordingly.
Vladimir Gochevski It may not be the proper term, but typically men’s fragrances are called “cologne” and women’s fragrances “perfume” in casual conversation. But I understand. I get annoyed when people call any Japanese cuisine with fish and rice “sushi”.

Hey Ash! Awesome list as usual. Just FYI, Issey Miyake is pronounced ‘mee-yah-keh’ instead of ‘kee’. This applies to Japanese in general, such as karaoke and karate. Hope that helps!

Every day I look through my dozens of fragrances... And I just want to wear Chrome Aqua. I'm captivated by its scent. I just ordered a second bottle because I wear it so much.
I'm just did a blind buy of Chrome Aqua based off of Ashes recommend from Fragrancex. Plus I did once upon a time own the original Chrome which I really liked. So after seeing your comment I'm excited to find out how this fragrance smells personally 😎

I just received Artisan Pure, was shocked to find out it smells nearly identical to 4711 and nobody ( "all the experts") has ever even hinted at that. So much for all frag reviewers who were boasting about it and havent had a clue.
If I knew this was nearly identical clone of 4711 would have never sought out to own it. Test it out first, fair warning.
Chrome is my go to and tbh its one of the biggest compliment puller ever...

Hi, Ashton. Do you find Bvlgari Black Cologne similar to L'eau d'issey Intense? At first smell I found them very similar, with the exception of the resinous notes in bvlgari

Is Chrome Aqua smells better than Chrome Sport? I don’t own the Aqua but I saw that Chrome Sport has a higher rating at fragrantica and I really like the smell. I like it more compared to Versace Man Eau Fraiche.

Some hits but also some misses in this list. Take the Lagerfeld and and Ferragamo Acqua off the list, and I hate to be redundant but Perry Ellis 360 red should always be on top cheapie lists. I know it’s been done already, but that’s because it a banger.
I admit to having sensitive skin, so I can’t wear dollar store fragrances. The same funky rash I get from 1 dollar frags, I got from Mont Blanc Legend 😔 My teenage son’s collection is all the cheapies I’m allergic too and he was just gifted another one 😂

Bought Boss Bottled Tonic when it came out, because i loved the smell, very similar to tommy by Tommy Hilfiger.
The only problem, is that it doesn't last more than 2 hours. Horrible longevity...

It depends on who I'm talking to, but I refer to my fragrances as colognes if it's a casual convo with someone who isn't into fragrances like me.

Don't know if you have sampled Or Ensens or Nior Ambre from Issey Miyake? I know it is a little difficult to get in the US. I have a decant of Or Ensens and it is a spice gem.

I have it, its oriental style cologne , very different from your easy to wear perfumes, not casual friendly, those who do like leather notes will appreciate this
Bear Claws I find it quite easy to wear actually and I often do wear it in casual settings. Also I do not detect any leather, I get a ton of vanilla with a bit of smoke probably coming from the incense, at the top it has slight freshness which fades away to reveal the woody base. Perhaps you're talking about VIP Leather?
