@@radgamer270 I HATE WHAT THEY HAVE DONE WHIT SHADOW, if you played the japanese version of SA2 MAN THE RESPECT BUILD BETWEEN SONIC AND SHADOW IS INCREDIBLE, during the battle sonic even say to shadow to go back to ARK because that was the first time shadow as using full emerald power, and shadow even say "maybe you are the ultimate life form in end" being sarcastic whit he saying this all around, and no surprise after they chaos control a entire comet, shadow fall to the ground "ded" even shadow and in heroes i understand why shadow whas acting that way, and everyone still dont know if he is a copy and all, but in SA2 sonic say he no interested in the fact that he is a copy or not, but her sonic loses EVERY SINGLE RESPECT he have for shadow, and during the events of "shadow the headhog" we see that he IS the real and original shadow, sonic seens a little bit more respectfull, and shadow knowing that everything happening their was her fault go all out, nice, old shadow restored, we even see a really good story whit hin in sonic O6 (i really recomend) but after that, shadow transformed in a rival that knows how to say "i am the ultimate life form".
srry for that, i was mad about how the series has been going, i just whant new writers (the idw ones are GOD DANM good) and that they put in the recycle bin cubot and orbot, eggman dont need this for his characther.

This also finally sold me on the current cast. Their voice portrayals have been improving for awhile now, but hearing them with better material really gives them a chance to shine. Sonic's comment about having to "follow a script"... My gosh! This reminds me why I liked these characters in the first place.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who noticed that! That's really deep when you hear "I got a script to follow" to "Be myself" line.

This actually shows how good all of them are as their respective characters voices when they have good lines.
As someone who loved the original voice actors from the Adventure series, these guys are doing an extraordinary job. Very hard to dislike.
The people that say these voices don't work are blaming the wrong people. They should be blaming the voice directors. These VAs work super well when guided right.

I think they all do a wonderful job, with Mike Pollock's Eggman being my favorite of the current voice cast.
My favorite voice actors of all time for the Sonic franchise are Ryan Drummond as Sonic (specifically in Sonic Heroes, though Sonic Adventure 2 is a close second on my book), Jason Griffith as Shadow, and of course Mike Pollock's Eggman; everyone else does a great job, but these three are my faves.

Mike Pollock does do a good job as Eggman, but I do have a soft spot (and slightly prefer) the more serious and menacing tone of Deem Bristow as Robotnik. Shame he's dead though.

I don't know- I think he kind of went off the rails with Shadow. Granted, _I absolutely LOVE_ this version of Shadow- he's HILARIOUS and lovable, and extremely quotable! 🥰
...but I can't honestly say it's true to his personality in the games and/or Sonic X, (I can't say anything about other versions of him either- I haven't read the comics, didn't watch Sonic Boom [yet] and neither the Netflix series nor the 3rd movie had released before I typed this).
I love these sessions, especially going back to them every now and then. Plus, it's always great to keep in mind that all of these answers are indeed canon
