      Hey thanks! That means a lot. Any details about why you feel that way? Always looking to improve.

    Great stuff!
    From my experience getting your kids on a disaster is brilliant and they will excel and have so much without that muscle memory of catching an edge and denting hopefully only their helmets. I have been messing with the whatever beyond medals this season and I like, but no love sadly

      Ya they’re great to learn on. I was super excited to try the Beyond Metals and I demoed it and thought it was one of the worst boards I tried. Weird.

    I hope you test the disaster plus soon im curious how it compares. Great video!

      I’d love to, I’m really curious as well unfortunately they don’t have any in my size right now.

    I’ve heard a lot of people talk about going fast on this board gets sketchy. But how fast are we talking before it gets overwhelmed? Like above 30mph?

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Probably 25-30. Fairly fast. It’s not a noodle. A really fast board for me is one that’s comfy going 55 ish.

      I don't know how much they change the Disaster from year to year, but I have a 2021/2022 Disaster and it most definitely gets sketchy. Haven't really noticed a speed/sketchiness correlation. Sometimes it rides great, sometimes it doesn't. Don't know why. I'm an experienced rider. I've ridden a ton of boards over the years. This is the strangest one by far. It also isn't as flexible as I expected. I like soft boards. Supposed to be a 2/10. It's not.

    Hey I need help on deciding what size I should get the disaster. I’m 175cm at 60kg with a boot size 42,5 EU. I was leaning towards a 148 or 151 but when I look at the size chart it says my boots won’t fit on it (max 41 EU) and that I should get a 154 which will throw me off the minimum weight recommendation again.
    I want to use this board for buttering and improving in the park so I don’t want to have to fear that it won’t flex enough.

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do the 151. It’s only 2mm narrower at the waist. It really won’t matter that much. And drink a lot of chocolate milk to put some weight on your bones! Either that or find a board that is wider and softer in the smaller sizes. Being really lightweight for your height and foot size is going to be a constant challenge. I have the same issue.

    Have you tried the Bataleon Blow by any chance and if so what's your thought om it?

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sorry, nope. I’m sure it’s fine. I don’t usually test the softer/cheaper stuff but for the right rider, it will be great.

    Hey mate, thx for this review! I just turned 40 and been surfing and skating for more than 30+ years but just started with snowboarding 3 months ago. I am so in love with it! Been riding 2x a week at least in an indoor park in Holland. About the board: I got a Huck Knife 155 and sold it right away. I'm 5'8 and a relatively small guy with short legs and the Huck Knife felt like a boat under my feet. Like a longboard with tight trucks. Couldn't move the board. SO, I sold it and got the Capita Ultrafear Reverse Camber (they have a normal camber version as well) in 151, which was day and night difference, but I thought it would be way softer than what it is. Have you tried this one? And can you try the Disaster Plus as well? I was looking into these two, the normal and the plus (because the 3bt and sidekick from Bataleon really appeals to me. The Camber not really though.. but.. oh well....) but am afraid of the Plus version being too stiff and exactly like my Ultrafear. Also afraid of the normal Disaster being too wet-noodle. lol..
    Thanks again and sorry for the wall of text.

      How much do you weight? I wouldn’t worry about the normal Disaster being a noodle. It’s not crazy soft unless you’re relatively heavy for your height. Personally I think the full camber with 3BT is more fun in general than going reverse camber. You get the benefits of camber but it’s still super forgiving. I wouldn’t worry about the camber at all.

      @@Drift-Products forgot this info. I'm a fit guy and weight 73kg with 176cm tall. (5'8/ 160 pounds..?). About the reverse camber and camber with 3bt; thats ALL I wanted to hear, mate hahah I was wondering whether Id “feel” the camber in a bad way, even if so “low” and despite the 3bt and sidekick. The disaster will be my next one. How short do you think I could go? I like little side kicks and doing reverses and small quarter pipe tricks like youd do in a mini ramp, some carving down the line for fun but nothing too crazy (I can go real fast if I want though hehe and the ultrafear holds well) and learning to spin butters (one day hopefully similar to Scott Stevens haha). I was thinking about going 144. Recommended weight ranges 50-70kg. So with 73 I'm past this, but online ppl say it won’t matter.
      Thx for the reply!

      I think you could go as small as you want for playfulness. I don’t think you need to go that small, I’d just follow their recommendation, but you know what you like!

  • @LowKickMT

    any thoughts versus the wallie? i own the new fun.kink and i know what you mean. it does butter really well but its not as effortless as it could be for fun sake, i think the fun.kink is however the perfect sweetspot for playfulness and all mountain riding

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The Wallie doesn’t come in a size big enough for me so I have tried it unfortunately. I’m curious myself on how they compare.

    • @LowKickMT
      @LowKickMT 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Drift-Products you can get the wallie in a smaller size, because of the cut of tips it runs one size smaller. or do you have big ass boots?

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Trust me it’s too small my opinion wouldn’t be useful.

  • @stefanc2242
    @stefanc2242 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I bought the fun kink and I know what you mean about losing some pop and edge bite with the lifted sides. The disaster I believe has lower 3BT and wider “pad” underneath. Did you find the fun kim looser riding than the disaster? The fun kink is has carbon rods I’m surprised it felt less poppy

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Ya the fun kink is a little more loose than the disaster with more 3bt but it’s not a huge difference in feel. Honestly I’m surprised by my feelings about the fun kink, I think I’m kind of alone on it. So don’t let my comment affect your enjoyment of that board! I think it’s one of the better all around affordable options out there.

      @@Drift-Products I just ordered an Endeavor BOD on closeout. I’ll be interested to see how their 3D shape compares to the Bataleon.

    • @Drift-Products
      @Drift-Products  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nice. I haven’t ridden the BOD but I love the Endeavors. So far, I haven’t been on a 3D board yet they feels as exaggerated as Bataleon. Everyone else is more subtle.
