Only a dedicated or crazy detectorist will go out in those conditions and I'm a little of both. I've beach detected in exfoliating winds on more than one occasion. The nice thing was most the targets were sitting in plain sight and I did strike gold on one of those occasions.
Wondered how the post-storm digging would be. Some goodies. I suspect there are more just waiting to be discovered. I'd dig the lead fishing weight. Cheers!

Our dog is afraid of storms also, after lightening hit right outside our bedroom window and she was sitting on the bed watching the storm when it happened. Now she hides under my desk and lays on my feet during a storm, so Haley is in good company on the storm front. WYDI---watch pieces.
