Just watched your video and 10 years post cancer and my hair never fully coming back I’m about to try Rogaine. Hope it works for me and thanks for showing how to apply it!
Exactly why I went with minoxidil tablets. Way less hassle. Cheaper. Works faster. But most important to me is the less hassle. No need to spray cream into your hair and rub it into your head. That might sound easy, but it becomes a hassle very quickly. A tablet is easy. Once a day. Done.
My question for women who use this - when you start it topically do you get shedding ( loss) in that area and/or hair loss all around ? I’m asking because I know that is a side effect of the internal capsule version of minox
I think that’s a possible side effect for any version of minoxidil. How bad the shedding is just depends on the cause of the hair loss and current amount of hair loss. I didn’t really have any shedding. But I know some people do. Sorry I can’t be more helpful. 😊
Your hair look really good after styling. I have genetic bald spot on my hairline ( thanks to my beautiful maternal grandma :) ) and it makes me look horrible . i am debating whether to get a hairline transplant of try Minoxidil first. not sure if it helps with genetic bald spots or not?
Thanks! I'm not sure either. But, it's worth a try, if it bothers you. They even make a Minoxidil pill now. You need a prescription for the pill. But, it seems like that would be so much easier to use. :)
I don't think the smoothing chemicals would prevent the Minoxidil from working. But, I am worried that applying Minoxidil at the roots every night might make the hair look frizzy at the roots. But, I have never tried it. I guess it's worth a try once. :)
Does it make your hair greasy? Do you have to wash your hair everyday after using? I use hair fibers and usually only wash my hair twice a week so I don't have to heat style and use the fibers daily. But if I start using minoxidil daily I'm wondering if I'm going to have to wash daily.
The point of sectioning the hair is to be sure the product gets to the scalp. That was pretty easy for me since I have fine hair and I was only doing an inch or two back along the forehead. I was able to saturate my scalp the way I did it. But, thicker hair or applying over larger areas further back probably requires sectioning. 👍
I didn’t really have hair fall out when I started. I know it can happen to some people. Maybe it varies based on location and cause. Good luck with yours! 😊
I never had any issues with this, but everyone is affected differently due to hormones and individual differences with health and genetics. I’d personally try it 1 more times, just to make sure it wasn’t a coincidence. If you’re interested, I actually figured out what caused my hair loss and was able to correct it. You can hear about it in this video: th-cam.com/video/FrjLYQnpCIU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=t8GLT5iDXLsTdOFR
Hi! You just let it air dry. Don’t wash it out. If you have time, you can do it in the morning before getting ready. But since you can’t use a blow dryer to dry it, most people apply it 30 minutes before bed. 😊
It’s a type of hormonal hair loss. There are a bunch of different hormonal changes that can cause thinning. I made this video about 1 year after making this video that goes into how I figured out what caused my hair loss and how I stopped the hair loss. th-cam.com/video/FrjLYQnpCIU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1vuV5QVyNkD6rewM

You’re welcome and good luck my friend. 😊🤞🤞
My dear, I am African this is nothing compared to when we detangle our hair the most gently possible. Much love
Thanks for the nice comment. Much love back to you. :)
Ugh, so true! I’m African American and relaxed and STILL with detangling, so much shed. I wish my amount was like hers.
Yeah but she probably has not that much hair compared to yours
thank you for the update, i had just found your first video from 2 yrs ago...wondered what happened since and i now know.. Thanks!
Glad to help! 😊

Those are still pretty new. I figured out what was causing my hair loss before I heard about these. If I ever need minoxidil again, I’ll give a try. 👍
@@AbbottsAtHomewhat was causing your hair loss? Thank you 💕
You're welcome! Mine was estrogen loss. I made a follow up video about it here: th-cam.com/video/FrjLYQnpCIU/w-d-xo.html
Est ce que ça affecte la libido ?
Oral minoxidil can cause hair growth in the face, body wherever, and for women that is not good. Did you notice to have this side effect? Thanks

Can I go for hair smoothening while using minoxidil 5% ?

I applied mine at night, then washed in the morning. I heard they make a prescription minoxidil pill now. Maybe that would work best for you. :)
You’re applying it wrong. You need to part your completely dry hair, part in sections and apply to scalp.

You have nice hair
Thanks!!
When you first started using it did your longer layers or longer hair strands all fall out? Did it effect the length of your hair ?
I didn’t really have hair fall out when I started. I know it can happen to some people. Maybe it varies based on location and cause. Good luck with yours! 😊
I used some the other day and I had the biggest headache of my life..

Hello, for how long do you leave it on?
Hi! You just let it air dry. Don’t wash it out. If you have time, you can do it in the morning before getting ready. But since you can’t use a blow dryer to dry it, most people apply it 30 minutes before bed. 😊
Do you apply the foam once or twice a day?
I applied it at night 30 minutes before bed, so it had time to dry before my head hit the pillow 😊
Does it make you grow in wanted hair on your face
No. Generally, hair growth on your face is hormone related. I’d get this on my forehead along the hairline, and never got extra hairs there. 😊
@@AbbottsAtHome that’s good to know, thank you.
