자지장미 the reason why I said it’s a YG thing it’s cause all of YG’s main vocalists and even leads tend to have very distinctive and unique vocal colours etc that can’t really be fully compared to anyone else tbh. Like when you hear Taeyang, you instantly know it’s him singing without even having to double check. Same with Rosé, someone could randomly play a song with her singing it and you would instantly know it’s her same with Seungyoon, Jisoo, Bom, Junhoe, Yedam etc. They all have incredibly unique vocals.

people said yedam is overrated and untalented but let me tell you briefly abt this boy: yedam has always been so good since he was little. he was raised with musics. he can play the instruments, compose (he composed a bunch of songs already & got credited for a couple songs from Sechskies) and he dance so well. he has a very very very good personality. he has a great leadership as well. he cares for his members a lot. Yedam trained for the longest time as well. Literally everyone in YG favours him and acknowledge his talent. not forgetting to mention that yedam is one of the top student in his school: SOPA, which definitely means hes a freaking genius. now fight me if you think of the opposite.

people said yedam is overrated and untalented but let me tell you briefly abt this boy: yedam has always been so good since he was little. he was raised with musics. he can play the instruments, compose (he composed a bunch of songs already & got credited for a couple songs from Sechskies) and he dance so well. he has a very very very good personality. he has a great leadership as well. he cares for his members a lot. Yedam trained for the longest time as well. Literally everyone in YG favours him and acknowledge his talent. not forgetting to mention that yedam is one of the top student in his school: SOPA, which definitely means hes a freaking genius. now fight me if you think of the opposite.

Ofc they are different but they have similar singing style (probably because they have the same vocal coaches), so you can find some similarities when they sing and that's when you say 'oh they are YG'. That's why is called YG style. Of course they still have different voice and their own style, but there are some similarities as well. That's normal and it goes from all the artists who trained in the same comapny.
