What a beautiful ride along! Fall is the best time to ride and look at the scenery. Never had any luck with tire slime... just makes a mess. Hard to think it will work well in a tube tire. I could be wrong though. I prefer tubeless tires due to that fact, but I would not trade the spoke look on my Classic 350! Nothing else would look right on these Classic beauties. Thanks for sharing, I love the old bridges and dams. Ride safe!

I was there only a couple of weeks ago - and was amazed how low the reservoirs are - apparently Welsh water are doing loads of repairs in the pumping stations. When I got to the top end of the valley at the Elan Valley Welcome viewing point I came back down to Rhayader by the more direct route via Nant Gwynllyn - a ride I did with you many many many years ago.

Lovely autumn ride. I carry a can of tyre sealant/inflator but can't comment on if it works as I've never had to use it fortunately.

I had a puncture on my Classic 350 in Upper Chapel a couple of weeks ago and a can of tyre weld got me home to Newbridge on Wye. I know it's not meant for tubed tyres but I've found a couple of times it was enough to get me going again. I've since committed heresy and fitted alloys with tubeless tyre - I'm getting too old to bother with changing tubes at the roadside!

When funds permit I too am going down the alloy wheel route, until then I will get some of this tyre weld stuff just in case. However my last puncture tore the tube so nothing would have helped, luckily I was nr. a friend and got rescued. Upper Chapel and Epynt are on my list of future routes, also I pass though Newbridge on most of my rides unless I head down to Beulah, thanks for the comment and subscribing to my channel, it's my retirement hobby!

    Lovely video 👍
Ive subscribed - I like your pace :)
I love the Rhayader and Elan Valley roads too.
Where is the single lane suspension bridge I wonder?
Have you ridden over the Mawdach toll bridge?

The little bridge is just south of Builth Wells after the village of Erwood on the A470. . Haven't been across the Mawddach for years, will be getting up that way next year hopefully. Thanks for the comment and subscribing, much appreciated.

Thanks for your reply 👍; I will cross the bridge next time I'm down that way..
They are steep and windy, but when you are up Mawddach way there are three minor roads that run uphill South to meet another minor road that runs South-West from Dolgellau. Up the first one (nearest to the bridge) and down the middle one (past the small lakes, good rest/view spot) makes for an exceptionally beautiful little diversion. I wouldn't do it with fall.
Sorry, I don't have any puncture wisdom to share. Lucky you were near a pal.

Hi, thanks for comment, glad you like my trips. The yellow van I tend to grab lunch at is on the A44 near the village of Llandegley which is before Crossgates heading from Kington, great food at great prices.👌

I carry "UPUMP DIY CO2 TYRE Repair KIT " from Amazon it has the Co2 gas capsules to inflate after the repair. Used it twice over the last few years. Slime is disliked upon by tyre fitters some won't touch them or charge more. The tyres were used until reaching legal limit with no problems, just me getting my moneys😁 worth. Plenty of TH-cam videos on how to use the repair kit,

Hopefully I am getting myself some alloy wheels soon so will go tubeless, better options for roadside repair, such as UPUMP . My last puncture tore the tube so nothing could have helped. Thanks for comment 👍
