Your messy bun technique is so helpful!! I use that often with my partials, just put my loose hair up in the front with a tie, and then wrap and tie my dreads around it. Very easy, holds great and I love the look :) Thank you for these ideas
Thank you for these videos! I have 3 kids and dreads that have been up in a perpetual "mom bun" for years now! The mental block for new styles is real.
When i realised my dreads were too long for the low bun 😭 we improvised and still a massive improvement on my messy bun. Could never quite recreate the 'bun has started unravelling and looks really cool' look 😅 this one comes close! Thanks so much for your content x
Liz, please please please can you do one of these for men? My wife braids mine every once in a while, but there really aren't to many more options I've seen that aren't more on the feminine side.
Love these! My hair isn't long enough to dreadlock my own hair yet- so gonna be doing braid in extentions (for the second time) do these work well with dreadlock extentions too or will it cause slippage?
Can you give some style tips for those of us with shorter and/or partial locs? I’m try no to be very patient with mine since they’re just barely below shoulder length, and I’m on a budget. But I need more options than low, mid, and high ponytails. PS I wear a lot of hoodies, and I typically like to keep my hair up off my neck.
This!! I've been working on my natural dreads for 5 years now but they started very short so although they're just about at my armpits now, they're just too short for some of these styles!!
Hey my name is Danielle I’m actually dreading my husbands hair right now I got them mostly formed with the twist and tare method I bought a dread hook kit that came with crochet hooks that have 1,2 and 3 hooks as well has the hook that has the clasp that came in a few different sizes I kinda need tips on what to do now that I have them all twisted I’m not exactly sure how to do this crochet method
Listen no hate to what this man is saying but a Dutch braid and a cornrow are two different techniques and produce two different looks. A Dutch braid you add hair on top cornrows you add on the bottom. I’m not for that culture appropriation bullshit, but I hate it when people say that Dutch braids and cornrows are the same. No hate actually 100% hate to being stupid braids braids at the end of the day, that’s the statement not erm we have Dutch braids.🤓☝️ dread Vikings had a braid dread where they braid their hair and not take it out so it makes it dread a lot of African-Americans and Africans. They have a natural dread where the hair naturally becomes dread because of their curls turn into dreads different different technique different style no hate I just hate it when people, say stupid shit on both sides but she said ignorant stupid horrible reason to hate people for doing so I’m tired of the same goddamn thing erm the Dutch had Dutch breads. And I hear a lot more people saying white people can’t have braids certain braids not because it’s all culture appropriation and more because it is not physically possible and if so, you will lose your hair. I’ve seen many videos of white girls losing their hair after taking out there box braids, quite funny. It is physically not possible for you to get the certain dreads that Black people get. different hair. In general, I think people should stop making comments on peoples hair because at the end of the day everybody’s hair is different. Everybody’s gotta do certain things to make sure their hair stays the way they want it. You shouldn’t judge people if they braid it you shouldn’t judge them if they choose to keep all natural stigma that they’re unprofessional they keep the hair braided is ridiculous at the time it was to bring down people now honestly I don’t know anybody that cares if they care they get canceled so don’t matter at that point
Love your videos 🤘 you inspired me to get mine done. But I’ve used hot iron method to make my dreads. They where 42” I think and I put them in yesterday 😮they look amazing but so so long. I can’t do much with it. I think I’ve made them thick also. I’m so unsure on what to do, feel abit deflated. Would love a pro to give me some tips. It is my 1st time c Do you have Facebook page or anything x

I’m really struggling with the sectioning part. Do they have to be PERFECT sections ? Update I’m absolutely fine with them looking messy
What if some of your dreadlocks are long and some of them are different lengths?
