I bought the swirl yarn in 3 weight by mistake. After i got through the first five rows and it's coming out beautiful. I was so skeptical. A nice light weight blanket. I used a 5mm hook. My granddaughter was jealous I'm making a blanket for her new baby sister lol so she needed another blanket! I'm making the babys blanket in that loops yarn in pink/white. Another beautiful lightweight blanket.
The Caron Cakes are by far my favorite regular yarn. Love the skinny most of all. I will have to go look at the new colors! I think I would really like the L & T Ombres too!
I love living in the mountains of WV except there are no stores near me! The closest Walmart is about an hour away…😞 I’m so envious of everyone who can go to their local craft stores & scarf up beautiful yarn cheap on sale…😂 Beautiful colors for sure❣️ I have to order all my yarn online & it stinks when the colors aren’t the same as color online and/or do not match with yarn I bought to go with it…😅

Pretty sure you're correct Glenda, these are new colors. My local store doesn't even have most of the Caron ones yet - only four of the Cinnamon Swirl ones, and the other side of the Caron Cake aisle display is temporarily faced over with old yarns waiting on the new stock. (Take a look next time you're in, btw, there should be another endcap with new yarn as well, a bulky size. I believe it's also Loops & Threads if I remember correctly, also "Easter" colors.) The colors of the Loops & Threads yarns tend to be close to the QR code, so look in that area. The blue one you have is not terribly inspired, it's listed as "Dark Blue/Sky Blue/White." The orange one was "Tangerine/Peach/White." Couldn't see the mint, pink or mixed one. I really wish that L&Ts would release those colors in something like cotton, and not just acrylic. It's so annoying to see perfect Easter home decor colors, but not in any kind of natural fiber. Those Easter colors would make for cute placemats if they were cotton.
The loops and threads ombre yarn is soft and squishy. Personally it splits when I use it and it frogs horribly. Rather than crochet I will knit with it. My experience with it. I love the cinnamon swirls. I grabbed enough for an afghan.
Another yarn TH-camr I watch went to Michaels recently and was showing that she found Caron Cinnamon Swirl for $5.00. The colors you picked are very pretty especially with spring around the corner.
I quite liked the Skinny Cakes yarn. Unfortunately, it is not being sold at any of the Michael’s in my part of Ontario. Not sure about other areas. It may be something I need to order online.
Thanks for braving the loud music at Michael’s. It’s the same here in Canada. 😢The music is always blaring. I find it very distracting to shop when the music is so loud. It’s not conducive to shop at all. Anyway, Love all your new acquisitions!
Glenda, Juan the Yarn Addict mentioned recently that he spoke to the manager at his Michael’s. He’s in there frequently; he explained who he was, and about his channel, etc., and the manager offered to turn down the volume of the music if he wanted to film in-store. I don’t like loud music either, and frankly the copyright strike for piped-in Muzak in stores is ridiculous in my opinion. But you can’t change that! Thanks for the video about new yarn.
That onbre hues is pretty, but its hand wash/dry flat, so I'll pass. It looks like baby yarn, and who wants baby items you have to hand wash/dry flat? Been there, done that, and with Michael's at that... Have a great day. 🐞

I just bought 2 skeins of cinnamon swirl from Michaels the feel was rough yarn. It was never before when I used it.
The Michael's nearest me didn't have any of these... something must be up because they didn't even have any red heart yarn...

You're right, there is no specific name for it but I did see a description of the colors. It's under the QR code, just above the yarn weight number.
Look for the video added to comments. The colors are above the symbols. The blue is “DaRK BLUE”, ETC.

I'm glad skinny cakes are back! They were the only #3 weight yarn (besides baby yarn)🧶 that's available.
