- Thunder Valley had one last TNT on their schedule, the weather was perfect, the Chevelle's previous carb issues have been "fixed", so how could we not go back out to the track to make sure the carb issues were resolved and let Paige get some more seat time.
Let's just say we had a great night, the car ran great, Paige set a new personal best and then raised (or should I say lowered) the bar again with a backup PB.
In the grand scheme of things we may have been the slowest car on the track but we had a great time and not a single complaint, quite the opposite, people commented about how they like Paige's ole beater and wanted to know more about it and what we were running.
You don't have to be super fast or drive a racecar to have a good time. Get out and support you local drag strip.
We are done racing for the year, but we ended on a high note and got a number to shoot to beat in the spring after the winter upgrades.
BTW:
Go check out Evil Energy, lots of great fuel line products, especially if you are looking to make the move to AN lines or looking for E85 compatible PTFE line, Evil Energy has the goods.
Even better, use Promo Code OMB10 at checkout for a OneMoreBolt exclusive discount.

I think you need a bigger carb and a rear end upgrade
You're 100% right on both accounts. Those are 1 & 2 upgrades planned for this winter. If budget allows we might through a cam at it as well, unfortunately cam swaps aren't nearly as cheap as they used to be.
Nice job! And I remember the days when I thought the night was still young at 10:30pm 😂 not so much anymore 😴
Haha yeah, I really don't mind being in bed by 10:30 but staying up to race is worth it from time to time. Just wish the animals would let me sleep past 6am the next day! Haha
Fantastic job team
Thanks. Was a great way to wrap up racing for the year. 13's will have to wait until '25.
It's always the best time
Absolutely. I can say for sure that both of us are happy we started going out to the track, probably Paige even more so than me. haha
A learning moment
oh yeah, she has learned a lot this year and is having fun doing it.
The car and her are coming around like you said more card and gearing will wake that car she is doing great
100% needs a decent gear and a bigger carb. But I was super happy to see the car make a full lick and put down a decent number. Cutting 3 tenths from where it was before the Holley is a great improvement.
