Chase Field roof won't be able to open or close with fans inside to start the season

- As the 2022 MLB season gets underway, cable issues will limit how often Chase Field's roof will be opened for Arizona Diamondbacks games.

I went to one game at Chase Field in April 2014 against the Dodgers when I was visiting my grandmother for Passover. She lived in Scottsdale. Chase Field is in dire need of a major renovation. The Diamondbacks don’t need a new stadium. Chase Field is in a great location in downtown Phoenix. There is public transportation available to get there. The Toronto Blue Jays just renovated the Rogers Centre in downtown Toronto in two separate phases over two winters. Hopefully the state of Arizona, the city of Phoenix, and the Diamondbacks organization themselves can come to an agreement to renovate this 26 year old stadium. They were just in the World Series last year, the fans and the team deserve a freshly renovated ballpark.
Nothing will stop the fans from attending ♡ but we support whatever has to be done♡
This just in ..... if teams would stop PAYING PLAYERS so much, and SAVE a dollar, fans wouldn’t need taxed to pay for things that the TEAM should be responsible for 🤷♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

That’s why they’re not allowed to open and close the roof with fans inside. Chase Field is in dire need of renovations. They don’t need a new ballpark in a new location. Chase Field is in downtown Phoenix in a great location and you have public transport access with the Valley Metro light rail. When the Atlanta Braves moved to a new ballpark in 2017 (Truist Park) a big problem is that there is no public transportation available to get there. It’s also in a suburb of Atlanta (Cobb County). Turner Field was in downtown Atlanta with public transport access. Should’ve just renovated because it wasn’t that old of a ballpark. Only 20 years old at the time of the move.
