Well considering creation club 2 has been created during starfields cycle, leads me to believe they'll be able to make their next game quicker because they aren't going to be overhauling the engine. Plus elder scrolls and fallout are one world. They can probably take what they've learned with starfield and apply it to making the next game quicker.
I am am a gamer in my 60's -I don't have 2 or three decades to wait for new releases from microsoft or bethesda . For me mods and modders are the real stars and i would happily pay for content created by them

I sincerely hope none of these die in development. To be able to play the classic Fallouts in 3D up to New Vegas would be amazing. I'm probably getting my hopes up, major mod projects like this tend to die out from developer burnout, life troubles, or the OG developers seeing dollar signs and cutting the project short. There's a lot of uphill battles for all of these and plenty of chances for the projects to fall apart.
Yeah, then you have Bethesda sniping them out of the community and taking them over to make Atom shop items lol. Which is why the Atomshop doesn't suck anymore but i mean dang. There is this UNEASY alliance between modders and bethesda, you can feel it. It's a tension that's palpable and almost nobody talks about it. At one point the modders were much loved, then it became a ego battle i think... and then it turned into "hey, we can monetize that fk these mods! hire that guy! oh and while we're at it, update the CC and fk over their mods again"

What grinds my gears is the complete and utter BS that was shoved into Skyrim mainly all those forced quests. If you have the full CC Skyrim then you will develop a white hot hatred toward the courier no thanks to the unwanted quests that end up clogging the quest log. The latest round of CC stupidity involves a quest for a Tunnel Snake gun in Fallout 4. . .which happens to break the game because Codsworth can't be talked to. . .in other words just the act of installing this thing wrecks the game and a complete uninstall and reinstall of the game has to happen. At least with regular mods you can delete the mod if you don't like it or it screws up the whole game in some way. With CC you don't have that option. . .

I was the main artist for the team and it was incredibly mismanaged from the project lead and didn’t know what he was doing besides compiling all the others work. I was the person who made the logo which got changed into the shittier one. I got one of the newbie artists to learn animation for the project which is incredibly rare and helpful until the project lead kicked her off the team without consulting me about it. No 3D models got done for the entire year that I stayed there. Tried to make me legally sign an NDA which was a copy of fallout Londons but tweaked but was null because it was for the UK. Etc etc Currently I’m the graphic designer for escape the backrooms which is a game that sold over a million copies so I’m kinda glad that I did get kicked.

I will note that both of the starting locations for Nuevo México are lifted directly from the Van Buren design documents, as the prison is Tibbits prison, one of the hubs for the main antagonist of the game, and the military base is The Reservation, a home for some of the most xenophobic humanoids in the series.
@@PanicLedisko having never modded and barely played Hearts of Iron (any of them, but in this case #4 as I enjoy Stellaris much more) I can say with certainty that he is talking about a mod for Hearts of Iron 4 called "Old World Blues" which takes the core gameplay and systems of Hearts of Iron 4 and puts a fresh coat of Fallout paint on it, making the strategic gameplay take place in post-apocalyptic USA/Earth with various factions from Fallout 1-4/NV.

The start of Nuevo Mexico makes it sound like it'll be taking a good bit of inspiration from Van Buren on it's story beats, which kinda has me excited since the story for Van Buren actually sounded really interesting.

All of these projects have been under development for some time now, and it's great to see them finally start to not only reach completion, but to be released
I got the urge to play some fallout 4 a week or so ago and decided to try sim settlement 2. holy sh*t what a great mod. I also love that preston is still trapped in the museum even though concord is secured and built up 🙂

All these remake mods are so exciting and I'm glad it's happening. I imagine the only "professional" Fallout we'll have coming up is more with 76 and (about the only Hollywood take on one of my franchises I still have any faith in) Amazon's TV show
FOriginal remake looks top notch. FO2-4-4 is unclear, but exciting. CW and FO4NV are chugging along. London looks very refreshing next to Bethesda's insistent biomes. A Better World gives a very cozy feeling, especially with the existence of plantlife. Nuevo Mexico is going to feel great. And Attack of the Lobotomites is looking like a fun pack of OWB.
The Capital Wasteland mod has to be my most anticipated with the New Vegas mod a close second but the "A Better World" mod gotta admit looks gorgeous. Some of those screen shots almost look like they were lifted from Skyrim with how lush they look. Guess there hasn't been any developments on the Fallout Appalachia mod of Juicehead would have mentioned it.
As a New Mexican, Nuevo Mexico seems very accurate for a sci-fi retro version of the state. Although it does seem to lean to heavy on the Mexico side of things.
Nuevo Mexico looks awesome, as Ive seen on a couple other video reviews already. Looks and feels like a straight up official Fallout game. Having the option to play as different charcters , and not same old vanilla vault dwellers is such a breath of fresh air. And who has never thought about playing as a ghoul in Fallout?
As an old-school isometric Fallout fan, I’d love to see 1 and 2 released in the current 3D engine. Not holding my breath for either to actually ever finish though.
Starfield was announced in 2018 and I remember being super excited which I wouldn't have been if I knew that from the announcing date, it was still 12 years away.
I've been waiting for Skyblivion for 500 years. You need a huge and dedicated community to really achieve a remaster/remake mod, and I don't see that with the older Fallouts. Especially, since they're considered classics and changing them from isometric to the new style won't translate well.
I don’t understand why Bethesda doesn’t simply release official remakes of fallout one and two. When you look at the resident evil and other assorted remix for pretty much living in an age of video game remakes and those first 24 games are ones who could use it for more than any of the resident evil games that actually got remade.

for gun guys yeah, all the bethesda games have really bad depictions of firearms. like designs that just wouldn't work type bad. new vegas was a huge step in the right direction
One of the things I love about Bethesda is that they actively keep track of the epic tier mods, and are recruiting from within that pool because these folks work speaks for itself. Absolutely the best way to recruit someone; look at the work they've already done, that you're hiring them to just do more of, but in an official capacity.
Knowing that I'm going to have to wait that long for another Fallout game while watching Bethesda pump crazy amounts of Revenue into their online properties, which I don't play, is ridiculously disheartening.

All jokes aside, buried within all those mods lives a story and a world that I still very much enjoy and appreciate. I want to see that built more in the single-player format.
Not correct. Zenimax does ESO, not Beth. While Z owns Beth, they are not the same company with the same budgets or resources. There are staggering amounts of great mods for f4 (and skyrim...still) - play those. I mean, try horizon, or sim settlemetns 2, or heck - even the venerable Tales of the Commonwealthy -is DLC quality or better.

I'd love to see a modder make a mod that adds Australia to Fallout 4 & they could also add new quests,new npcs,new clothing & armor,new factions,Australian based weaponry,a new intro,new endings,Australian wildlife & plant life both normal & mutated just imagine seeing a mutated versions of Australia's spiders & mutated versions of kangaroos that'd be so terrifying & cool oh yeah & a modder should also make a mod that adds Italy to Fallout 4

I'm really hoping we get some kind of Irish faction in Fallout: London, ideally joinable, like a falloutified IRA remnant group or something. And maybe an Irish companion or two. I've always dreamed of having a Fallout game set in that part of Europe and even if it's not canon, seeing someones' vision of it will be a dream come true.

Nope. I had bought some of the previous bethesda games, and was kind of dissapointed, especially fallout 4 after all the hype. Knowning tod howard, Starfield will either be meh, or bad. Just a penny for thoughts I suppose.
With AI being a thing now I have to wonder if game studios will have an on site AI system to assist them. It would speed up the process immensely. Have to imagine game studios are already taking advantage of this.
They already have. They actually created the levels in high on life with AI. What I'm more excited for is what Nvidia showed off at their AI showcase. They gave an NPC a background, and it self generated what it was saying, taking it's background into account for it's personality and even using that background in its own way through the dialogue. And they spoke to it with their own voice and it responded quickly just like a human would.

I don't trust any mod that has been in development for what we can call forever timewise .I know there are people out there that puts their projects as in progress giving some slight updates here and there but whose only goal is to milk supporters patreon money but has no actual plans to release anything.
Modding is really what gives great games longevity. I decided recently to relive New Vegas but I installed the Viva New Vegas mods and wow, its definitely a great experience. It fixes a lot of things that never made sense and slaps a fresh coat of paint on. It's really the best way to play if anyone is looking to jump back in. You really don't need a super duper crazy computer for it either. My comp is middle of the road and handles everything incredibly.
The ones i look forward to are honestly the biggest ones, the remakes of the older titles aswel as London and Miami but i won't say i'm not gonna check out the other ones 😂
Those worried about Fallout 5 not being seen for a decade, considering Microsoft bought them and Elder Scrolls isn't going to be on PlayStation at first, I'm pretty sure Microsoft is gonna start telling them to get their asses in gear.
If all these projects succeed, hopefully, then you’d be able to play the entire Fallout series on Fallout 4, minus spin offs. Which is just crazy to me.
You need to Change your vocabulary regarding these mods. None of these mods are merely "DLC Sized". They literally are game sized mods and should be referred to as such.
I genuinely hate when fallout fans whine about the 10 years between games as if a person could be born during the release of Skyrim and be 18 by the time the next elder scrolls comes out

I remember Fallout 4 was announced out of the blue and first only by a very vague teaser like 3? months before release. Would not surprise me, if they'd do something similar. But with the trend going towards extreme long development phases, I'd assume they can't hide it for that long. Maybe Bethesda should hire an external team again like with NV but this time let them just build the game from scratch based on whatever TESVI is going to be on.
Desperately hoping the Capital Wasteland project manages to catch a second wind. Currently nothing I want more than to experience FO3 again with the FO4 enhancements. Granted, I've got plenty of reasons to look out for the 1 & 2 remakes since I've never tried the originals. But CW remains at the top of my wishlist.

Sim Settlements 2 fecked up few mods I had on and completely made my game crash when I got near certain areas. Great mod but breaks easily.

All these remake mods are so exciting and I'm glad it's happening. I imagine the only "professional" Fallout we'll have coming up is more with 76 and (about the only Hollywood take on one of my franchises I still have any faith in) Amazon's TV show
FOriginal remake looks top notch. FO2-4-4 is unclear, but exciting. CW and FO4NV are chugging along. London looks very refreshing next to Bethesda's insistent biomes. A Better World gives a very cozy feeling, especially with the existence of plantlife. Nuevo Mexico is going to feel great. And Attack of the Lobotomites is looking like a fun pack of OWB.

Nuevo Mexico looks amazing.
The Capital Wasteland mod has to be my most anticipated with the New Vegas mod a close second but the "A Better World" mod gotta admit looks gorgeous. Some of those screen shots almost look like they were lifted from Skyrim with how lush they look. Guess there hasn't been any developments on the Fallout Appalachia mod of Juicehead would have mentioned it.

As a New Mexican, Nuevo Mexico seems very accurate for a sci-fi retro version of the state. Although it does seem to lean to heavy on the Mexico side of things.

Looks and feels like a straight up official Fallout game.
Having the option to play as different charcters , and not same old vanilla vault dwellers is such a breath of fresh air. And who has never thought about playing as a ghoul in Fallout?

As an old-school isometric Fallout fan, I’d love to see 1 and 2 released in the current 3D engine. Not holding my breath for either to actually ever finish though.

Starfield was announced in 2018 and I remember being super excited which I wouldn't have been if I knew that from the announcing date, it was still 12 years away.
I've been waiting for Skyblivion for 500 years. You need a huge and dedicated community to really achieve a remaster/remake mod, and I don't see that with the older Fallouts. Especially, since they're considered classics and changing them from isometric to the new style won't translate well.
Don't forget about Fallout Miami. They're also hard at work and have been posting more recently.

I don’t understand why Bethesda doesn’t simply release official remakes of fallout one and two. When you look at the resident evil and other assorted remix for pretty much living in an age of video game remakes and those first 24 games are ones who could use it for more than any of the resident evil games that actually got remade.

Fallout London has been pushed back to April 2024.
At this point we should get a Fallout Collection xD similar to the Master chief Collection , and just have the fallout 4 era of projects ,story's and Remakes to allow and all in one experience :)
That would take 15+ years. That's 4 games ( 1,2,3 and NV). 3 and nv would be easier but 1 and 2 would have to be completely remade.

for gun guys yeah, all the bethesda games have really bad depictions of firearms. like designs that just wouldn't work type bad. new vegas was a huge step in the right direction

One of the things I love about Bethesda is that they actively keep track of the epic tier mods, and are recruiting from within that pool because these folks work speaks for itself.
Absolutely the best way to recruit someone; look at the work they've already done, that you're hiring them to just do more of, but in an official capacity.
I can only imagine how much of a letdown fallout 5 will be when it releases in 860 A.D.
I hope Sim Settlements 2 becomes it's next chapter soon too.
Knowing that I'm going to have to wait that long for another Fallout game while watching Bethesda pump crazy amounts of Revenue into their online properties, which I don't play, is ridiculously disheartening.

All jokes aside, buried within all those mods lives a story and a world that I still very much enjoy and appreciate. I want to see that built more in the single-player format.

There are staggering amounts of great mods for f4 (and skyrim...still) - play those.
I mean, try horizon, or sim settlemetns 2, or heck - even the venerable Tales of the Commonwealthy -is DLC quality or better.

Then you wax intelligent bringing up one online property, one that's not even related to Fallout, and pontificate upon it as if you're adding something to the conversation. However, Fallout 76 in mind, my comment turns out to be 100% correct. And if ESO is a zenimax property, which I am already aware of, then I was never talking about it, was I? It's almost as if that's something you fabricated in your mind so you could come on TH-cam and have something to say.
What's aggravating is your selective memory and that halfway through your comment you suddenly remember that Fallout exists, so you can talk about the Fallout 4 modding community, and the mods they have. If you would simply ask if I knew anything about Fallout 4 modding, I would have told you.
I would have told you that I have over 450 active mods on my current Fallout 4 playthrough. That my CPU when I boot up pops off like a Dave & Buster's in the worst part of Chicago on a Saturday night. That my load order has its own ZIP code. That I am to the point with morning now that I modify my mods with x-edit.

I wonder if someone will merge Fallout 4 The Capital Wasteland and Fallout 4 New Vegaa into one ala Tale of Two Wastelands so we can play TTW in the F4 engine, maybe even go the extra mile and include the base game of Fallout 4. If that's even going to be possible.
I'd love to see a modder make a mod that adds Australia to Fallout 4 & they could also add new quests,new npcs,new clothing & armor,new factions,Australian based weaponry,a new intro,new endings,Australian wildlife & plant life both normal & mutated just imagine seeing a mutated versions of Australia's spiders & mutated versions of kangaroos that'd be so terrifying & cool oh yeah & a modder should also make a mod that adds Italy to Fallout 4
@@alexwalters35 I think it could be possible because the modders wouldn't necessarily have to add the entirety of Australia & Italy they could just add certain areas like Bethesda did with the locations in the base games of Fallout 3,Fallout New Vegas,Fallout 4, & Fallout 76
Or every unique location could be its own cell, much like the OG Fallouts.
I would love to see them make a mod that merges all the wastelands and allows us to travel through each of them and do their questlines but all with 1 character, similar to the Tale of Two Wastelands mod that merged Fallout 3 and New Vegas
I'm really hoping we get some kind of Irish faction in Fallout: London, ideally joinable, like a falloutified IRA remnant group or something. And maybe an Irish companion or two.
I've always dreamed of having a Fallout game set in that part of Europe and even if it's not canon, seeing someones' vision of it will be a dream come true.
Fallout 2 is also being recrated in the New Vegas engine; its called Fallout: The Chosen's Way by the Molten Clouds dev team; it looks really really good.

Nope. I had bought some of the previous bethesda games, and was kind of dissapointed, especially fallout 4 after all the hype. Knowning tod howard, Starfield will either be meh, or bad. Just a penny for thoughts I suppose.

With AI being a thing now I have to wonder if game studios will have an on site AI system to assist them. It would speed up the process immensely. Have to imagine game studios are already taking advantage of this.

They already have. They actually created the levels in high on life with AI. What I'm more excited for is what Nvidia showed off at their AI showcase. They gave an NPC a background, and it self generated what it was saying, taking it's background into account for it's personality and even using that background in its own way through the dialogue. And they spoke to it with their own voice and it responded quickly just like a human would.

I don't trust any mod that has been in development for what we can call forever timewise .I know there are people out there that puts their projects as in progress giving some slight updates here and there but whose only goal is to milk supporters patreon money but has no actual plans to release anything.

Modding is really what gives great games longevity. I decided recently to relive New Vegas but I installed the Viva New Vegas mods and wow, its definitely a great experience. It fixes a lot of things that never made sense and slaps a fresh coat of paint on. It's really the best way to play if anyone is looking to jump back in. You really don't need a super duper crazy computer for it either. My comp is middle of the road and handles everything incredibly.
love these games, great to see modders making games that outdo the origionals. Cant wait to play these. Nice work to everyone envolved.

It's crazy how MS owns Fallout AND has a lot of the original creators in-house at Obsidian.
The potential is crazy. Will they meet it? Probably not.
I would prefer InExile. Obsidian looks like they forgot how to make real, good cRPG.

Bethesda really is lucky. They have such a dedicated modders. They really are the heart and soul.
The ones i look forward to are honestly the biggest ones, the remakes of the older titles aswel as London and Miami but i won't say i'm not gonna check out the other ones 😂
Those worried about Fallout 5 not being seen for a decade, considering Microsoft bought them and Elder Scrolls isn't going to be on PlayStation at first, I'm pretty sure Microsoft is gonna start telling them to get their asses in gear.
If all these projects succeed, hopefully, then you’d be able to play the entire Fallout series on Fallout 4, minus spin offs. Which is just crazy to me.
You need to Change your vocabulary regarding these mods. None of these mods are merely "DLC Sized". They literally are game sized mods and should be referred to as such.

I remember Fallout 4 was announced out of the blue and first only by a very vague teaser like 3? months before release. Would not surprise me, if they'd do something similar. But with the trend going towards extreme long development phases, I'd assume they can't hide it for that long.
Maybe Bethesda should hire an external team again like with NV but this time let them just build the game from scratch based on whatever TESVI is going to be on.

Desperately hoping the Capital Wasteland project manages to catch a second wind. Currently nothing I want more than to experience FO3 again with the FO4 enhancements.
Granted, I've got plenty of reasons to look out for the 1 & 2 remakes since I've never tried the originals. But CW remains at the top of my wishlist.
All these remakes are nice but what I really want to see is some lore explorations/extensive content regarding the gunners and the minutemen.
It would be handy to be able to say, "ChatGPT, import all Fallout 3 assets into Creation Engine," then sit back for a couple of hours.
