Yes ,I've seen many TH-camrs exaggerating about Newport, Wales as if it's a cray cray dangerous city to visit !! I went there in 2022 walked alone around til midnight, it was totally safe & met many kind Welsh in the streets ,helped me to fid places I needed to go ! They literally took there to my destinations !! Nobody does that anymore !! I love Newport, Wales !! 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🏴💕💞
You say "our devil clock" but it is actually Ebbw Vales devil clock. They gifted it to you back in the day when European social funding was rebuilding Ebbw Vale. Then after they received millions and millions of pounds in funding, the bright sparks of Ebbw vale voted to leave the EU..... 😂😂😂
I don't think the best thing to do is visit Newport Castle. As stated, you cannot access the structure - all you can do is view it from outside. That takes all of five minutes! I would say the Transporter Bridge is easily the number one attraction. You can ride across the river on the gondola and climb over the top and spend quite a while up there, taking in the amazing view.
Castle is lame !! Lol They shouldn't be the no.1 place to visit unless you wanna do some binge castle tours !! St.julian's Inn pub w a stunning view of the river Usk & cafe at the Ridgeway should be the No.1 place to visit in Newport, Wales !!
I live just outside Newport worked as a volunteer in Tredegar house for several years the Morgan’s didn’t live there before lord Tredegar because over the years certain males of the Morgan family were lord Tredegar lol
I wouldn't get too excited about the castle, it's overgrown with weeds and fenced off to stop it being used by drug addicts. Good things about Newport: -Great music venues where you can see local bands (eg, Le Pub, Neon, etc) -Historical sites in the locality -Thriving gaming community Apart from that I'd head to Cardiff or Bristol.
If you ever find yourself in Newport, the best thing to do is leave as quickly as possible. Unless of course you want to buy some spice or get stabbed by a tramp.
Like most places in the uk Newport is no different,London is twinned with Afghanistan 🇦🇫 the stabbings and looting by scum immigrants, Newport may have its faults but there are a lot worse out there believe you me.
