Japanese culture has an incredible sense for even the smallest details, it's really nice to see! I'm going to live in Japan for about a year, starting in September, and I just can't wait! Thank you so much for your videos, they are very interesting and helpful! :)

cool! I've seen so many people get creative with their chopstick holders, I've seen heart-shaped, fan-shaped, and even rabbit-shaped chopstick rests! It's pretty amazing! :)
I'm SOOO gonna try this next time I visit a Japanese restaurant! So I can be popular! haha :P

If you have the chance to visit the US and spend some time, it will become indiscernible. You are already very good as is. Coming to the states or Canada will merely smooth it out even more.

Very interesting, Komori-san. The last one seemed complicated. It reminds me of origami. Nice.

She can actually say a good "r" sound. But things like "restlant" are probably because she learned it from other who couldn't. Very cute and friendly young woman.

By the way just curious, I've heard is hard for some japanese to use fork properly, if so then how do they eat spaghetti?

First, you pull out a small blanket the size of a napkin then you pull out a book. Maybe physics and some warm cocoa. Offer it to your chopsticks after it has engaged in exercise. Now you have made a chopstick rest by the magic of boredom.

I have a question, I was told that when eating with chopsticks you have to eat with your right hand otherwise you'll have bad luck or offensive to some Japanese people. is that true? because I'm left handed and I have no choice but to use my left hand when eating with chopsticks...

  • @komori841

I need help because I don't have any chopstick wrappers. I know this is totally not relevant in this video (well sort off) but how long is a chopstick wrapper? If you have one at home could you measure it in Cm like "the width of it is... and the Length of it is ...... because I don't understand if you just say 134X24

    • @mrwednesday687

Spiffinly Corbee this is for like disposable chopsticks usually at restaurants. If you have like not disposable ones I'd just recommend buying a few. Or go to any asain restaurant and ask for some chopsticks

I see you are not a man of culture. Chopsticks are also used to eat ramen noodle soup. Also traditionally you eat sushi with your hands.

I think that many japanese are quite xenophobic, and before feeling insulted or menaced they would be surprised, like us if a cat or a dog out of the blue says an intellegible expression according to the situation in our language.
It may be childish, but usually comes out from good intentions, and i totally don´t understand why so many people gets offended.

  • @puffolotti
    @puffolotti 12 ปีที่แล้ว

the reaction of the japanese when you say "konbawá" or such makes me think the reaction italians would show if a 3 years old kid writes down his own name, like as if a gai-jin isn´t supposed to have enough brain cells to learn a 3 syllabs word with the correct meaning...
Don´t get me wrong, i find it quite cute... expecially like when a Japanese company got completely owned by a colossal fraud in S.A.R. for the sole reason they wasn´t able to believe matabili africans are able to lie.

i'm asian and i don't know how to use chopsticks. My entire family is ashamed of me for not using chopsticks. I don't drink asian drinks like bobba, tapioca. I don't eat alot of asian food like pockky or h/e you spell it, fried calamari,....pho noodles, terriyaki, all that type of stuff....cept rice. My parents force me to eat rice because its for nourishment. I can't speak vietnamese nor any type of foreign language. last but not least, I have A.D.D. Yup an asian with A.D.D... how weird.
