Great Central Railway 125th Anniversary of the GCR weekend! | Saturday the 16th of March 2024

Over the weekend of the 16th and 17th of March the GCR held a celebration weekend for the 125th anniversary of the Great Central Railway which first opened in 1899. This event was hosted in co-operation with GCRN, however only standard gauge trains were running on the southern section.
This video only contains footage from the southern section as I didn't visit the northern section. I also only visited on the Saturday.

True Luke, it did open in 1899 and my late grandmother remembered the opening as a Young gal! The South Yorkshireman and The Master Cutler were 2 expresses' out of Marylebone !🧐
