    Fantastic Oliver 👏👏 What you've shown in this series is that even with a small car caravaning is accessible. Surprised such a small engined car is so capable but that's engine technology for you. Great video 📹 Oliver and look forward to seeing the new caravan when it arrives 😀👍👌

      Thanks for watching guys and it was great to finally meet you both at the weekend. Yes the 1.0 Ecoboost is an awesome engine and surprises a lot of people! Cheers, Oliver

    I remember my 1st ever tow. Picking up a new caravan from Glossop and towing to Liverpool, you soon get use to it👍. Great video, looking forward to seeing what you buy👍Stay safe Mark & Coral

    Very well done Oliver, a natural of course, great to get dad’s thoughts too, especially re hills/tractor over taking, etc:) All cute choices but that Bailey does seem a perfect option for you… loads of space, all the facilities you need for comfort, long bench seats work well as spacious singles (could even squeeze another friend on the floor between!) or maybe at some point a double so it could suit for a long time… and that long A frame for your bike (be v careful with weights, especially with the fiesta), I vote Bailey! My 2nd choice would be the go pod I.e. the other extreme because it can just go anywhere but obvs needs a little awning for practicality in dodgy weather!

    Looks like you did a good job towing Oliver checking mirrors etc. I would shortlist the Discovery and Explore. Look forward to seeing your pick of the bunch. Cheers. Rob

    Well done Oliver, I only use the motorway on long journeys anything less than 100 miles I tend use the A roads when towing not as boring as the motorway. Plus you need to use A roads to keep your towing skills polished, it's easy to drive in relatively straight lines where the traffic is all going in the same direction. Much more enjoyable to drive on the A roads. As for which caravan you should get only you can decide that. But I'm sure whatever you get you will love it. By the way as usual that was another good video.

    Oliver it’s a no brainier. Your a tall guy I think you should consider either the Bailey or elddis the rest are way to small for you, you’d always be keeping your head down when inside the others. I think the Bailey is the best followed by the elddis. Good luck with whatever you decide on.

    You should have took it all the way …you were doing well

    • @CaravanningwiththeCoxs

      I did consider it, but the last bit is a tight one way street and is a pain in the car at the best of times!

    Well done Oliver, seems your car coped well with the D4. Of the vans you listed surely the D4-2 has to be the best option? So when you picking it up.

    Helpful video thank you. I passed my test relatively recently (despite being in my 40s) so I only have a B license. Have you done more towing since? How do you find it?

    • @CaravanningwiththeCoxs
      @CaravanningwiththeCoxs  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Katherine. No I haven't towed since however I'm picking the caravan up next month and once I've got a few more miles under my belt I'll complie a video on my thoughts. Thanks for watching, Oliver

    I do like the Discovery models, but feel they are let down by lack of curtain or window voiles etc. They look like they haven’t been finished and make an already basic van look stark and bare.

      @@CaravanningwiththeCoxs I’m well hyped about that. I passed my test last year and I can now tow a caravan. In your opinion, do you prefer caravans or motorhomes?

  • @CaravanningwiththeMrs
    @CaravanningwiththeMrs 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great video and looks like you had everything covered. Interesting to see how the car handled, given the weights. We're so on tender hooks to see which caravan you choose!
    We have a D4-4, I've never towed before either and only have a really old Honda Civic, but as you say, they just seem to stick to the back of the car, just need to go a little wide when going round smaller roundabouts.
    Great series, look forward to your conclusion. Sadie & Kevin
