    i did not expect braking for a full course yellow to be one of the things that completely changed the course of this race, but there it was

    Interesting to finally see the Cassidy Sacha incident. Looks quite close, Cassidy was going to make the corner and Sacha turned in, but the contact was nose to rear tyre which shows that Cassidy wasn't very far alongside either. Racing incident, question?

    Question, why did Fenestraz have to take Attack mode when Günther was out? It seems counterintuitive because there would be a FCY to neutralize most of his Attack Mode, but I haven't watched a lot of FE so I don't konw the fine details of it

    • @edwardhunter7116
      @edwardhunter7116 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Guenther crashing out meant there was a gap behind Fenestraz where he could go into Attack mode without losing any positions. Cassidy did the exact same thing hoping to maintain the lead; neither Nissan or Envision seemed to realise that a full course yellow would be needed to clear Guenther's car. Unfortunately it was as the pair of them had committed to going into Attack Mode that the Full Course Yellow was called, meaning that both blew their last Attack mode deployment due to just unlucky timing. What also happened was that Cassidy and Fenestraz lost more time than they normally would because they couldn't go back up to racing speed on their exit from Attack mode whereas Da Costa and Vergne only had to slow down from racing speed when the FCY came into effect; Cassidy was very lucky to hold onto the lead, but as you say, the fact that Cassidy and Fenestraz wasted their Attack modes under FCY basically handed a huge advantage to JEV, and especially Da Costa who used his later on.

    • @raddishone92
      @raddishone92 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Edward Hunter Ah, that cleares things up. A bit of a Ferrari moment from Nissan and Envision, such a shame because Fenestraz deserved more in my opinion. I guess that just goes to show what difference teams can still make in a mostly spec series

    Why do you post free practice several videos for an hour, and only the best moments of the race? And why the hell did Da Costa and Vergne overtake Fenestraz under the yellow flag?

    • @irfannoor908
      @irfannoor908 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you see and heard clearly Sacha decelerate way early during the countdown and not at the one mark...so it seems fair ...most drivers will slow at the exact second the countdown to one
