Hey hutts there is a secret in the rat fight in the chest room use a blank to find a room with a caged baby dragun use 2 of the rat keys to open the cage ,feed it with guns and take it to the dragun when his heart shows up the boss will become more powerful
The senergy with megaman's arm and the bell is from megaman 4 fighting the boss bright man, hes special attack is stopping you in time and fires straight, diagonally, up, and diagonally down.

Finally, thought you weren't uploading enough of the new update. Edit: the megahand synergy is a reference to MegaMan 2 where you can get a time stopping ability, I play MegaMan 2 a lot so that was pretty cool to see.

The way it flashes on screen is super similar to megaman 2, I may be wrong though.
Carter Bilbrey Time stopper from Flashman doesn't flash, but just let shiny things be on screen, however, Flash Stopper from Brightman does flash (also, like Centaur Flash from Centaurman)

Yo Hutts, since the final phase is like punch out, you ca hit when the rat flashes red or yellow. It’s a small window of time, but it can do a lot of damage and interrupt your opponent’s attack.
When you do punchout, you can hit the rat while he blinks yellow, to gain special. If you finish a phase with a special, the rat drops an extra key, max 6 if you do everything perfectly

Hutts! If you finish each round with a super attack then you will get all 6 keys to open all 4 chests and the 2 extra locks for that necklace. The boxing gets a lot easier the more and more you do it (obvs).

The aged bell is my favorite... the little bit of slow at the end of the freeze makes boss fights a little easier... if I could Mod the game I would make it that I always start with the aged bell

Ending each of the three "punch-out" phases with a lvl3 super punch (hit the rat while flashing yellow) is required for getting all 6 keys
I always think that if you have an active item you should use it as soon as you get into the boss battle, cause the sooner you use it the sooner it will recharge and you can use it again so instead of stopping time once in the boss battle you could do it twice
Just realized that the rat is in Metal Gear REX and you’re fighting on REX next to a bomb like Metal Gear Solid 1

hit the walls with a weapon capable of finding a secret room
they're usually on the far-most room from the spawn room
You can actually cheese the dragon-serpent pet door after the rat fight. You still have to get 1 key to do this though. If you want to challenge yourself with the punch-out phase this is not the way to go as it will make you able to get your hands on the dragon pet thingy without getting the 2nd key.
Cheesy solution below \/
You just have to unlock the first door and hug the second one. Then you have to drop a few items (ideally the worst ones like guon stones or junk). They will drop on the other side and you have to use blanks to push the items far enough for the dragon thingy to eat them. After feeding the dragon 3-4 items it will become your pet for the rest of the run. It will do nothing but follow you until the high dragun fight. Good luck fighting the advanced dragun.

Steez Steeve it requires having the six infuriating notes that can be found in any chest, each note has a direction you need to go in order to find the rat. This is randomized for every player
