I love to see things restored - that one went the extra mile! I bought lots of spares or repairs over the years off Ebay and get great delight repairing them and keeping them. My lastest had been kept in a damp cellar and dropped- smashing the pcb that the 4-gang potetiometer for the volume-control wash mounted on. This control also has a motorised function- but i need the correct or similar remote control to operate it. Howver, it works, with good surround-sound. Marantz pm-700av.
You are questioning that and not the fact he gently brushed off the circuit board and the washed off in a tub of water the used a air grinder with a bristle brush to clean it off lul
