I love Tarja so much. I remember two years ago I saw her live at El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. It was such a beautiful experience & a dream come true. For years I have been a fan of her music and to finally see her perform is something I will always treasure my heart. Words can't describe how I felt that night.

I think she's too talented to be part of a band - her voice needs no accompaniment. I prefer her acoustic stuff because her voice is that strong and with all the metal stuff in the background, I feel like it's almost a pity. You just want to listen to her pure voice because it's got so much character - the Czechs describe voices as "colourful" and Tarja's voice has a rich colour. To be honest, listening to her solo stuff and the fact that she composes and writes her own songs, I would theorise the split from Nightwish probably happened due to creative differences. She had her own ideas, equally good ideas, but too different, and that probably brought on bad clashes with Tuomas, whom I assume would be (rightfully) possessive of the vision of the band. I think Tarja basically wanted to do her own thing and Nightwish should have supported that - they should have supported the split amicably. Splitting isn't the pity - Nightwish has Floor, who has a stunning voice and is gorgeous, and Tarja is producing beautiful music that really shows off her voice and vision that couldn't have happened as part of Nightwish. The pity is the damaged relationships - they must have been close :(
