He's more of a performer than a musician in my mind - some of the other guys they've had hit the notes better and had better rhythm (I know sax is insanely hard). It's a really difficult solo, so I'm not trying to take anything away from him, but when you know the song through-and-through it's way more satisfying when the guy hits the notes and such. Plus after seeing a few guys do it, I have way more respect for those who can now.
you do know he wrote this for vampire and he plays the original on the album you hear others who tour with them play his notes and improvise It absolutely tickles me to see pedestrian mouth breathers are quick to make music about whos better and whos not you are also judging the man by one performance if you knew what you were talking about you knew everyone has good days and bad days plus if you were to ask the crowd they would have told you they had the time of their life yet you are quick to turn this into a comparison nonsense how lonely and miserable are you
