I just noticed that the channel has reached over a thousand subscribers! Wow! It truly means a lot to know I can make songs that you're all willing to enjoy. I hope to keep creating content that resonates with you all. Thank you!
Got randomly recommended these videos, now I can't stop watching your work. It's really incredible how much you're able to pack in there while still sounding like it'd actually play on an 8 bit system!
After procrastinating for 3 weeks, it took about 4 to 5 days. I usually try a make a specific part of the song per day, but occasionally productivity hits me in the eye, and then poof, 90% of the song gets done in a day lol
My only tiny criticism is you didn't incorporate any of the trills in the first two bars of the melody. They aren't present in the vocal version as that version has lyrics, but in Silent Scream they function to make the first two notes distinct as well as to distinguish the bars.
I don't really understand much about music theory, so I wanted to ask more about these trills/bars you speak of. But in any case, it is within reason that an 8bit cover might lose some key details, and most of the time I'll usually do that to infatuate the feeling that it could be heard in a videogame
Trills are when you go back and forth between two notes right next to each other. Could be a single flick from A to Bb before holding A, or rapidly going back and forth for the whole duration of the note.
Oh! Now I understand! A fatal flaw I made on this cover is that I didn't listen to Silent Scream when arranging this; the main melody is all based off the vocal version! If I had listened to Silent Scream, these trills would have surely been there, since I prefer to keep most of the recognizable aspects of the song intact on the covers. (As soon as I heard Silent Scream here, I instantly realized what both of you spoke of). What I tried to do to differentiate those two notes was change the duration between them. So the first one ends slightly earlier than the second 😂 and trills would have solved this in a more instrumental fashion It was really perceptive of you to notice this! Thank you for such input! Any constructive criticism is highly appreciated!
I'd very much like MIDI versions of your work so that they could be performed by bards in-game! I do a lot of midi editing to make all sorts of different songs work for bard performance. If this is a possibility, I'd very much be up to working on making some songs bard-performance friendly if that would be something you are interested in (or if it's even possible to convert formats)
Thanks! I always mess up somehow with the arts I compose for the video, but I just like this one fight so much, I couldn't help it. Also, finding Beeg carbuncle sprites was a really straightforward thing!
I usually compose the art on Gimp. The sprites are all from various games. Search for spriter resource on Google, and look for Final Fantasy Record Keeper, and thetes lots to be worked with!
Love how everyone brought a reasonable weapon, except the mech, who brought a CANNON.
Me, the machinist: 8D
The MCH might actually be the only reasonable one. Why would you bring books and sticks to fight that thing?
It may be a premade party with restrictions turned off, so it could be a blue mage firing off their grenade/cannonball spell 😂
You know what they say, don't bring a Carby to a cannon fight
after clearing p5s, wish my MCH brought a cannon XD
Not gonna lie, that Machinist with the cannon made me chuckle, this is really good 😁

These covers absolutely slap, keep up the awesome work!
Congratulations! Keep up the fantastic work 🎉
All of them are absolutely fantastic.

I'm glad more people are giving respect to the FF5 Carbuncle because of this raid series.
I'm just a stranger. We are all strange *INSIDE*
This makes me want to dance. So good.
I don't care how many times I've wiped on P5S, I'll vibe out to this any day.
Bruh this slaps harder than Ruby Glow and Cachexia combined.
Well I'm sure as heck going to be hoping for a remix of Hic Sunt Leontes at this point. Your chiptune arrangements are incredible.
No lie like every new FF14 song you had made it has been put on my playlist when I'm gaming.
Always a treat to listen to your work. Also that proto carbuncle is gonna eat cannonballs 😂
Tearing this song down with 8 bit and it's still very powerful!
How long did this take? Amazing job as always. I really love how you adapted the bit at 1:22 and all its variations.

Also, thank you so much! I notice how you're always commenting on the songs and it truly means a lot to me!
Thank you for this! I love your 8-bit tracks!
First time commenting: but keep it up! You got good sprites and damn good ears for making these!
I would do anything for a full retro demake of FFXIV.
Dang, you use some sounds that I only ever heard out of an NES when I played _Jurassic Park_ on it back in the day!
Wow big fan of the triangle in this one
Thanks a lot! I've put a lot of into the noise channel as well!
Everybody talking about how the MCH brought a cannon, nobody caring what happened to the OT.
OT either floated off the arena or got eaten during Devour. Maybe.
Being fired out of the cannon
Mais uma vez, Silverfang Senpai dando o nome! O maior de todos!
This is pure art 😭❤
Just in time for reclears tomorrow!
Sick take 🥰 Hah this takes me back to maybe old Sunsoft NES games with their epic music, well done 💜
Cannoneer confirmed for FFXIV!
man, I played through FFV the other day, and got to the carbuncle fight and was like "WHAT, proto carbuncle is a REFERENCE??!?"
The more FFs you play the more you realize 90% of the game is a reference :D (but in a good way) yes even Nidhogg is from FFXI
Oooh, the bass at :25! Heck yeah :D
This is a great 8 bit version, well done
What a jam, man! Good job!
even if this is missing the bridge and last chorus, it's still somehow even more fun to sing along to than the real version. absolutely slaps
Super enjoyable remix as usual :DD
All of this music is worthy of being custom music in the Legend of Zelda Oracles of Ages/Seasons randomizer. It'd make great dungeon music. ^_^

@@nathsfsongs any chance of a redo? i'm assuming it would take a month at minimum.
So scream if you like, cause we're all mad here
The 8th party member is the cannon.
This almost gives me Ho-oh Heartgold vibes idkw

Damn.
shiz insane
Wait.. Scream doesnt play during the proto carby fight. JK this sounds great.

omg love it kupo! would it be fine to use this as my stream intro sometime?
Surely! If you can, make sure to refer back to the channel, I'd love to hear more about your stream as well!
@@nathsfsongs 100% will do! I tend to stream rpgs and shooters while having a conversation with chat. Stream name is this name on twitch!
Nice job. Offtopic question: Who did you commission the sprites from, I was looking for an artist who'd make some for me but couldn't find anyone.

MT is DC so guess we'll died
