Long before blasting into space, rockets were used here on Earth as early as the 13th century. What are your thoughts on their use throughout history?
I think that they used it to see earth from space but found the planets and then launched more
I think rockets were used as a weapon... Although they weren't so powerful to cause massive destruction. But the area where they fell, cause a little damage... It is just like a canon ball at that time... It is my opinion....
Hi guys cek my channel yeah ❤

Space. It is equally exciting, mysterious and yet scary at the same time. The vast universe is something we may never fully explore in our entire human race existence.
we can't really leave our solar system and took 25,000 lightyears to the nearest star :'( most thing we have to deal is flatard instead.
@@virekbotrethnorodom9777 Indeed we certain can't leave it -for now, but 25,000ly? Not sure where you're getting your facts from... Alpha Centauri is 4.3ly
idk but NDT said that someone asks him how long can we leave this galaxy.
@@virekbotrethnorodom9777 I understand what you're saying, and yes, we're no where near being able to reach even the relatively close 4.3ly Centauri system. But first you said solar system, and now you're saying galaxy.... We've already left our solar system, NASA's Voyager 1 left our solar system in 2012 i think it was, took 35 years to get there though.
Azliana Lyana Oh yeah we will, we will advance so much we will create our own universes with our own laws of physics
In showing this to my 3year old.. So one day she goes in it.. And make huge discoveries and achievements. 😊
The mere fact that mankind is leaving the Earth and heading into faraway space through a spacecraft, the total collection of human science and technology, makes your heart overflow. I want to be an aerospace engineer and join the project to make a spaceship. Wouldn't one day mankind be able to reach another planet?

Heres a theoretical horror about space exploration, We are the last living things in this universe.
😳
🔭➕🚀good👍👍👍god bless❤❤ you
Be a great aerospace engineer
Why does it look like a boat though
the space race is a race to see which country has the best German scientists
Perhaps
Indeed ,who can forget V2 rocket technology
Correct in the 50s/60s. Not today though.
@@afonsords He said space race tho...
Which is during the cold war
I Truly love space, rockets, science and National Geographic.
Same here I find it really interesting 🇬🇧
Wanna make a space game?
National Geographic posted something about rockets?
*happiness noises*
Those are success noises...
*LIFT OFF,WE HAVE TO LIFT OFF*
Lmao

Expecting a video about Team Rocket.. 101% disappointed
@Jude Shamali pokemon joke
Does anyone else need to watch this for an assignment on online school 🤣
I do
Yes🤣🤧
I do 😭😭
Ye
I do
I think Russia has been removed from this lecture on purpose.
You have a point 😂😂😂
@Maz and the soyuz
Because Nat Geo is indirectly an American channel .
you have a point bruh
Love seeing what SpaceX is doing. It has me excited about space. Hopefully, it does the same for the youth today. Namaste
Hi nat-geo
I like this 101 series very much...
And it is very interesting to learn..
Thanks for educating us....🙏👍😊
Thanks
Nat geo science
Mysorean rocket ( tipu sultan) were an Indian military weapon which were first iron cased rockets successfully deployed for military use against british east india company. These battles exposed the british to this technology, which was then used to develop congreve rocket in 1805
My dream job 😍😍
The narrator didn't speak well as before, also the role of the Germans (1939 - 1945) in the development of the missile was ignored . No reference to Wernher von Braun ( NASA engineering program manager - chief architect of the Apollo - Saturn V rocket ) ?!? 🚀
They only had 5 minutes to speak. They did show a lot of footage of the german V2 rocket though.
The several stage USA rockets and some Russian rockets of the space age did make a diference but the Space Shuttle brought the International Space Station (ISS) to a reality and changed Space Exploration forever.
Elon Musk has entered the chat
Amazing video. Many thanks!
You left out a big segment of a rocket history!! V2 and all the rocket scientists from Germany that empowered the USA space agency!!
The V-2 was the world first long range guided ballistic missile
German name: vergeltungswaffe 2 ( meaning retribution weapon 2)
They left alot of stuff out so chill
The diagram at 0:45 is the V2 rocket.
Korolev
Thank you for a lot of information about rocket 👍
Wonderful
Remember this . After 60 years you will see a guy in the headline news or internet that launched his own spaceship into orbit living in the Philippines.
I'm 18 now at that time i am around 78 yrs old and what better way to die ,than to die in spaceee . Goodluck fellow geeksss out there keep inventing and never stop learning.
Maybe my robotics background will get me in my mission someday.
👍🏽good luck
Crucial facts regarding reimbursements
Liking this 101 series 👌
nice information in a simple manners way
FANTASTIC
No mention of the soviet rockets, why?
4:00 "The Atlas rocket family, which launched America's first astronaut into orbit."
Why are we seeing Al Shepard, who made a suborbital flight as the first American in space, on screen and not John Glenn, who was the first American to orbit?
BlueFox94 I would’ve never realized. Good eye.
Amazing... National Geographic did mention about "Indian Mysorean Rockets" @ 3:33.
By the way, I'm from the district of Mysore, India.
Hit like if you are proud of ISRO 🇮🇳 🇮🇳 🇮🇳

Does anyone gets goosebumps or that feeling of awe when Seeing a Saturn V5?
Cool!
Title-Rockets Thumbnail showing a Space Shuttle
The Shuttles were types of rockets.
I feel like sad knowing that the continuing discovery of space is endless and I couldn't able to see how far it would be just bcoz of our short lifetime.
I recently watched the SpaceX Falcon heavy rocket blast off the other week in Cape Canaveral at the Kennedy space center while we were in Florida! It was awesome!
3:33 rocket with a bayonet lol
Tanks
Wow😜😮
This is totally badass!

Wow, NatGeo using the correct notation instead of the CE and BCE. That's actually quite impressive considering how people and TH-cam in general tries to be socially justice and politically correct. Kudos NatGeo.
It doesn't really matter. They mean the same thing.
Great rocket video. Thanks for sharing.
Sensational. Thanks for another amazing educational video.

Hi nat geo
I want to know how the rocket was exactly launched when the countdown is 0:00

I like playing "Rocket Craze" on mobile phone
Amazing 🇮🇳
Enigmatic Engineering 🚀
Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!@!!!!!!!!!
2:12 What happens to the serial staging part after the separation?
Sometimes, it'll fall back down to Earth, and other times, it'll orbit the Earth
Step aside Saturn V. ARTEMIS I is here!!!!
.i.like.it.rocket
2:11 Maybe the concept of staging should have been illustrated by something else than the single-stage V2 rocket? :-)
FromNorway wait that’s illegal xD
Ok , I already knew everything
Good luck

Excellent video.
Thank you.
amazing .... phew
Rocket was founded by Tipu Sultan
Actually the chinese were the first to use rockets
@@mimasimpersonator3005 they use first copy product as always till now a days. 😂😋
@@thelifeline8823 1- Your grammar is atrocious
2- The Song dynasty could have been using them as early as the tenth century but concrete evidence of rockets by then appears only in the thirteenth century. Mysorean rockets appeared only in the late eighteenth century
@@mimasimpersonator3005 don't carried away kid. English is funny language no matter what grammer says. China is copy paste nothing else... Don't focus on grammar focus on what i m trying to say 😀

No bro but for interest
To mention the canyon and mountain
Who is here after watching trailer of rocketry ...
💐💐💐💐💐👍👍👍
Lol technically you still can’t touch the stars unless you’re fine with burning and freezing simultaneously in space
Its a metaphor
🚀🚀🚀
I´m sorry but this Rocket model looks like an (WWII) V2 Rocket shape for the animation
It is one
❤👍
Rick and morty brought me to these videos I know nothing about this stuff personally!! Cool to watch and learn this though ..
